Really excellent food with a very broad and authentic menu. This is the favourite restaurant of a friend who visits from Japan from time to time.
Staff are friendly and helpful with the menu.
The teriyaki chicken isn’t breaded which seems hard to find and is my wife’s preference :)
Didn’t think
The sushi here is great. The food is really good and the service was super friendly and fast. Definitely recommend this spot.
Visiting from out of town. Local food guide said this restaurant was #1 on the list so we decided to check it. Mabui sushi izakaya is their old name. Friendly staff told me new owner was in place but they kept the menu the same with minor changes. We weren't disappointed. The sushi tasted delicious,
First time trying out this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Prices were fairly priced, portions were also really good and the taste was amazing. Probably one of the best places to go in Kelowna if you're craving Japanese food and sushi.
Spot shrimp nigri and Raftee(pork soup) are delicious!!
Crunchy roll, Spicy salmon, and Sashimi are not bad!
But, Hamachi sashimi and Salmon roe nigiri don't really suit our taste.
The price, portion, and freshness are good.
Very decent and authentic Japanese cuisine. I would recommend everyone who is interested in Japanese food to eat here. Staffs and chefs are from Japan.
So good! Best Japan food place in Kelowna.
Wow - we just found our Sushi Izakaya restaurant in Kelowna! Fantastic food... with the spicy mayo shrimp appie, the homemade gyoza, and the ahi tuna salad just to name a few standouts. Of course there's the sake options too. Very helpful and friendly staff behind the sushi bar as well as for servic
Probably the best Japanese restaurant in town. Great selections of specialty cooking. Highly recommended!
Although some menus are slightly overpriced, my spicy salmon roll was well worth the try!! There was a good amount of salmon in each roll and I could taste the 5-star freshness in it.
Also: modern-looking interior and free parking on the location!
My group and I had an incredible meal here. The chefs had fantastic cooking, and the presentation was incredible. The staff were kind and accommodating to the size of our group, they made our visit an amazing experience.
Fantastic sushi!🐟
I am Japanese and I love this sushi.
🍣 Nigiri’s rice is just tight enough to break down when you eat and fish quality is fantastic.😀
Great sushi restaurant. I recommend you to book the table first before coming since it can get quite crowed. The food is delicious and the service is top notch.
Real Japanese! No joke. The food ^o^. Too good. Better than 99.9% of what you will EVER find in Vancouver.
Loved absolutely everything about this place! Been wanting to go for a while and so glad I finally did! Try the raftee, SO GOOD!! I look forward to trying more things on the menu! I will be back!! Also so so sorry for staying right till closing time, did not mean to! forgot to keep track of time!!
Possibly the best and fairly priced Japanese restaurant in Kelowna. Really reminds me of home.
This place deserves a high rating. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The food quality and service is outstanding! The sushi always comes out beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. It's a good idea to make reservations as it can get packed for dinner.
If you are looking for authentic and fresh seafood Japanese Restaurant, this is the right place to go. The food are amazing with lots of options and the sashimi are unreal, melt in your mouth. Service is excellent, they are group of caring staff and always smiling no matter how busy they are. Thank
Very good! We were regulars of Mabui. We want to find our next favourite Sushi spot. Kaede Sushi did not disappoint! Tried their Orange Bay Scallops and Beef Tataki along with Volcano Roll. So enjoyed everything. Beautiful presentation as well! Highly recommend!
EDIT: This is not Mabui anymore. The original owner and head chef sold the business in early 2021. I have not been to eat there since. I've left my old review here for reference, but I have no idea what it's like these days.
I've been to many Japanese restaurants in Kelowna. I've also been to Japan
