Review Cap'n Sharky's - Kamloops

This has been the best fish and chips in town exactly like they claim. The service is fast and friendly, with the food options ranking from cheap to moderate. For a large 2pc fish and chips is roughly 16. The food is excellent and there is about only a 10 minute to 15 wait even when it's busy. The music is quiet, allowing you to speak and hear your friends without issue and it is right next to a bus exchange for easy travel anywhere in Kamloops.

Just went to Cap'n Sharky's for lunch. Had Halibut and chips and choose the breaded one. It was awesome! Great service, fast, delicious. Very clean and the new owners are really nice. Highly recommend eating here.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for supper during our vacation in Kamloops and these are defiently the best fish and chips we have ever had. I wish we lived closer so I could have them one last time!

A colleague and I went their for lunch and ordered two 2 piece fish and chips and two pops. We left with a $55 dollar bill and was pretty disappointed with the fish. The fish was rubbery and the price was way to steep for a simple lunch. The menu price was way lower but somehow we were told that it was higher because it was cod but neither one of us asked for cod. We also waited ten minutes before first contact with waitress and there was only 3 customers in the room. It would take a miracle for us to return there.

Fish & Chips the right way. Had a great lunch today. Batter on the cod was nice and crispy, flesh of the fish was firm and fresh. Chips were thick home cut style and crispy. Served with nice wedge of lemon and coleslaw. Plenty of tasty tarter sauce. I like a good old fashioned plate of fish & chips and I was very pleased.

Disappointment YES. Three of us went for dinner. we all ordered 2 piece cod fish and chips. My husband asked for his fries to be extra crispy............should be easy right? food lands at the table and my husband sends his back as the fries were not well done as he requested. my mother-in-law and i slowed down our eating as we felt bad that my husband didnt have his dinner to enjoy. that landed up to be foolish as we landed up eating a cold dinner and my husbands food still didnt come. so we cancelled his order and requested the check but as far as im concerned they shouldnt of charged us because our whole evening was ruined!!! never going back there again......joey's only will have a new customers!!! i will not recommend captain sharkys to anyone!

What is happening??. I live in the Dallas region of Kamloops and every couple of weeks I drive to the North Shore to pick up 3 or 4 pieces of halibut..it is usually worth the trip. I bought 4 pieces there today, and I am just into the lst piece and I have to say..CHANGE YOUR OIL!!! All I can taste is rancid cooking oil which ruins the entire piece of fish. I MIGHT give it another try, but right now, I'm really turned off.

Not worth the walk. My wife and I wanted fish and chips so we walked a few blocks to Cap'n Sharky's. We sat down and the table was dirty so we asked that it be wiped. This made it worse as the cloth used was even dirtier than the table. We asked that a clean cloth be used and this was better. My wife ordered the Halibut and although the batter was perfectly done the fish inside was a very thin fillet. My cod was a thicker fillet and the batter was perfect. Overall the fish portions were less than expected and I am not a big eater. The fries were just cooked with not much flavour. We were never asked if we wanted a refill of our drinks. I would have preferred a beer with my supper but the selection was not good good.

Good ol' fish n'chips. I am a fairly regular customer of Cap'n Sharky's. If you are looking for fish and chips, oysters and chips, or similar fare, this is the place to get it in Kamloops. Beautiful crunchy batter on the fish, perfectly crisp chips. Nothing fancy but it delivers the goods as advertised.

I wanted fish n' chips for dinner and decided to try out Cap'n Sharky's. I quite enjoyed my meal with a variety of deep fried options; cod, scallops, prawns, oyster and of course fries. The service was very friendly the environment was of course a nautical seafare theme. Would recommend a sea lover to give it a try. Thanks for the great meal!

Kind of the same atmosphere that you'd expect at a Joey's Only, nothing too fancy and lots of sea themed decorations. My two piece cod was good and I had a bite of the fish sandwich which was really good. Hey, at the end of the day it's a typical deep fried fish and chip joint but in that category it's above average.
