Review Barbecue Kitchen - Kamloops

Absoloutely a treat to dine in, the ice tea is also to die for strangely. It tastes like a true mixed tea with lemon. Suprised me with the best green curry ive ever had on a bed of sweet, fried rice and nice freshly boiled veg. Definitely a recommend over spending 9 dollars on a burger and fries. Give it a try.

I've been going to this restaurant for years, and it has always been great! Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in town. Very friendly and kind. Fresh food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant to eat at.

Hot garlic wonton soup πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ delicious and so good if your feeling under the weather perfect amount of spiciness. War wonton soup super good the broth has lots of flavour, I only needed to add a bit more salt and it was a nice big portion. Deep fried wontons were soooo good nice and crunchy not to greasy and the meat has lots of flavour. I'll definitely be going back to try more things off the menu, a new favourite place for sure 😊

Wonderful Food - excellent hot garlic dumplings!

Possibly the worst Chinese food both my friend and I have ever had. The garlic dumplings were nothing more than slimy salt covered dough, the sweet n sour pork was sloppily done, with no flavour and the almond chicken was all dough and one small, flat piece of chicken.

I will admit that the vegetables were good, but it takes a special talent to screw up steaming vegetables. Also, the noodles tasted like their main ingredient: Corn Starch.

Complete waste of money.

Quite Good. Went into the Barbecue Kitchen for a late meal after seeing the restaurant on Urbanspoon. The staff were very friendly and patient with us when we had to wait for other people. The food came in a timely manner, we had the Hot Garlic Dumplings and Wor Wonton soup to start and they were delicious. We tried the Chinese Sausage which was rich and mapley. Over all a good experience and I would go there again.

Bad Experience = Bad Review. We went to the BBQ Kitchen ONCE and will never go back. We were given a menu and then ordered accordingly. When the bill came EVERY item we ordered was $2-3 more expensive than it said in the menu. When confronted about the discrepancy, the Asian lady who served us said something about needing new menus and then she said she had to pay for the new renovations so all the prices have gone up. So, we were left paying a bill that was $10 higher before taxes and tip than we thought. I'm sorry, but in a good restaurant, the servers are up front about any price changes and IF THEY FORGET to tell you, they should charge the menu prices and not the new prices. My husband and I were completely disgusted by the experience. Also, my water glass had something stuck at the bottom and she actually didn't believe me. She called someone over from the kitchen to look at my glass and said something in another language before getting me a new glass. What kind of server argues over a glass of water? Terrible service, mediocre food, terrible prices.

A Favorite!. I'm reading some of these reviews and I can't believe that people have had a bad meal at this place. It is by far our very favorite Chinese restaurant. The family is very friendly. The food in very fresh. My favorite is the prawn chowmein in black bean sauce. The almond chicken, sweet n sour pork balls and beef and broccoli are just as good. We eat there or get take out at least every month. Luv it!

HORRIBLE!. Took 45mins just for the appy, almost an hour for our meal which we changed to GO. Never asked to refill drinks. 3 pieces of chicken(slimy) in the chow mein. No forks, ect. in to go bag. Worst meal ever, Mc Donalds does better!

BBQ kitchen. The best chinese food in Kamloops hands down. This restaurant is run by a very nice chinese family that has owned the restaurant for over 20 years. I go at least twice per month. The prices are excellent. The black bean chow mein, garlic dumplings, wor wonton soup, curry triangles, szuchuwan chow mein among others are all authentic and second to non in the city. I highly recommened this restaurant.

Best Chinese Food in Kamloops. This place serves the best Chinese Food in Kamloops. They are a nice family who have owned the place for over 20 years. The restaurant is not dressed up by any means, bit if you are serious about finding "the real thing" and not "mall" Chinese food, this is the place. An extensive menu, and their Garlic Dumplings are hand-made and are to DIE for. They also do their own barbeque, making it unique in Kamloops.

We loved their hot pots. We were very surprised with the Special Hot Pot as we were not expecting the Prawns, BBQ Pork, and Beef to accompany the medley of Chinese Greens and Tofu. The Szechuan Chicken Hot Pot contained boneless chicken pieces and vegetables. The Hot Pots were very tasty and perfectly cooke
