Review Beijing Restaurant - Kamloops

Mel J
Use to be my favourite restaurant to go to when coming to Kamloops every month. Definitely has gone down hill, and I didn’t believe it til I went to order take out. In several of my foods I ordered threw out the whole thing was mixed pieces of paper. Im not taking about few accidental.. like it was mixed it with a lot of it.

Against my better judgement, we ordered from them... Just vile. Everything was lacking in ANY sort of flavour. Chicken chop suey was just a bowl of bok choi with 6 pieces of chicken that was boiled to mush. The Chicken Fried Rice was overcooked and mushy... and when we took the cover off, the sickly smell of something rancid wafted out. Definitely NOT recommended

went for lunch with my husband the other day, the food was basically inedible, and as stated in other reviews the chicken smelled and tasted like it was rancid and was merely rinsed before cooking, it made us both sick, and the rice was also very mushy.. won't be returning.

Had dinner tonight with my friends. The guy who helped us said his name to keep it as "Secret". The food was amazing and their service was really really good. I would literally tell everyone to go there in person. I have never been so satisfied to this level with any restaurants service. Definitely going back!

The stuff is super nice and the veggies they used are very fresh. Highly recommend Asian style sweet and sour pork 👍 Perfect seasoning and just right amount of crispy for the pork.

The view! It’s really something to see. The food is great and service was awesome as well. Tea is cheap! Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in town👍🏼 Edit: went back for the same meal twice now but with fried rice and breaded almond chicken, the chicken was far better than most but I have to say the fried rice is personally some of the worst I’ve ever had. It tastes like or is plain white rice with peas and scrambled eggs added in, no seasoning in the pan or anything. First time there were green onions, second time there were not... I’m conflicted, everything else is far above average and the prices are on par.

We went for lunch yesterday hoping for a buffet but due to the times we are living in, they have switched it up a bit. Now you get to pick from the list and order what you like as all you can eat. You can keep ordering more and they will keep replenishing the choices for you. The owner was our server and he was fantastic at explaining how everything worked. Great prices and very fresh food. We will definitely be back.
