Review Minos Greek Souvlaki - Kamloops

Grandfather's 83rd Birthday dinner. Great service & good food. Serving sizes definitely smaller & prices higher. Quiet & nearly empty besides our table of 8 but was Tuesday night. Calamari & Shrimp dinner & Alcoholic bevy was $40 ... total for 2 appies, 3 meals, bottle of wine for table & 2 other alcoholic bevy's was $170+

It's my second time eating their food, and first time in restaurant. They do not disappoint! Seriously incredible food, super friendly, and prompt service. The presentation is top notch, and just wow. If there was a special six star option, they'd be getting it. Their decor, and interior paint is perfect. 💙 Edit: I wrote this sitting here, as I was waiting for everyone else to finish. Couldn't take the chance of forgetting to leave this review. Highly recommended.

* Rating reluctantly changed. Last time I went it in with family it seems as though this spot isn't following public health orders with regards to COVID, which is really unfortunate. First time at Minos last night and had a great experience. Spacious, clean, good ambience/decor, and staff were really friendly and helpful (Jade was hilarious). Food portions are generous, and the food itself was well-made and delicious. We were also told that all the lamb is halal (win!). Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend.

Ordered Roast lamb, was really good - really came off the bone. Really large portion. Good service.

I have to say my experience with Minos Greek restaurant has been disgusting 🤮. It was by far the worst Greek food I have ever had. We ordered Greek rib dinner, and chicken with calamari dinner Rice- very very salty it’s like they put a ton of chicken bouillon cubes in it. Potatoes - salty and lacking any other flavour Chicken- very dry barley any flavour Calamari- oily, rubbery and very fishy tasting - I have never had it taste like this before. Ribs- dry and underwhelming Tzatziki - the only flavour was lemon lemon lemon. I love lemons but this was horrible. I will never ever order from here again, I will not recommend them to anyone. Fast food greek from the food court tastes way better. Please do not waste your money like I did. Do not order from here.

Our family had been regulars of Minos years back and always enjoyed the tasty food and large portions at a reasonable price - unfortunately not the case now. Went for a family dinner and ordered a range of appies and mains. First glance at the menu revealed higher than expected prices which is certainly not a problem if the food measured up, but it didn't. Greek salad - no peppers, one olive, minimal cheese, lots of onion and no marinade. Calamari, small bits of tasteless deep fry. Potato (half) and rice was "just warm" and old, no other veggies in attendance (used to have great carrots). The lamb and prawns were decent but the chicken souvlaki was overcooked and barely warm. Pita bread (2 quarters) appeared to be right out of the bag, not grilled.... with a small spoonful of tsadziki. Assume much of the meal had been waiting for some time for customers to arrive... On the plus side, the server was pleasant and attentive and the cozy atmosphere/decor has not changed and reflects the greek theme well. Bottom line, reasonable sized portions but overall lacks flavor/quality for the price.

We ordered the roast lamb and it was very tender and tasty. They gave us a good amount of salad, rice and 1/2 Greek potato. Service was excellent and they checked up on us from time to time. Dinner was served within 15-20 minutes. Nice ambiance, easy to find and parking in the back.

Fantastic, authentic food...you can taste that it's made with respect and love (and if you're a foodie, you know exactly what I mean!!) Service is excellent and personal....cannot give them high enough recommendations!

Minos USED to be one of my favourite restaurants in Kamloops; not so any more. New owners I hear. Went there today and found the Greek salad a little off. When I mentioned that to the waitress she became quite snarky and advised that I should know where vegetables have to come from today - and the cost!!!!! After I paid the bill she said: "You ladies don't need to come back here." No need to worry, I don't want to. Also, we were the only 2 people in there at noon, so what does that say.

Don't waste your money. Ordered a take-away March 1, 2016 and it was cold, flavourless, greasy and expensive ($80 for two dishes). We we've been warned by many friends that Mino's isn't what it used to be and told not to go there but we decided to give it a try anyway. We fully regret our decision. Rock hard stale pita bread, rubbery prawns and calamari were more than a disappointment. We ate a bit of the food and felt sick right away. There was not one person dining in the restaurant. That is a clear sign that it is bad. I have emailed, called and facebook messaged to complain with no response at all. We will never eat here again. Farros is really good take out Greek :)

They need to use fresh ingredients, when I order a salad you would think it would be fresh not bagged .
