Review Twisted Steak - Kamloops

The first photo is the Twisted Steak “Caprese Salad”. The second is Caprese Salad. That’s it. Note: The saving grace is the serving staff; who were amenable and lovely. 5 stars for the staff. 1 star for the “chef” or kitchen staff member that conceived of the dishes. Maybe there’s a basil shortage? Is there a mozzarella crisis I don’t know about? #AITAH Given the consistent photos of raw, undercooked meat and sloppy presentation my guess is the kitchen isn’t really managed and food is slapped together any which way. Given the price it’s pretty surprising. Just lazy, unprofessional management probably. One can do much better elsewhere. Why spend money here?

Amazing food. Excellent service! My only complaint is that we were expecting a bit of a fancy dinner out. We took time to dress up, and it seemed that everyone else eating there did the same. The staff on the other hand didn't. Our server was dressed all black. Typical server attire. While the other 2 servers didn't look professional at all. 1 was wearing sweat pants and a t- shirt. Couldn't tell if she came from the gym or was going after work. And the other had a shirt with writing on which I'm not sure if it was a band shirt or a political stand. To me, I was not insulted, and It will not deter me from returning, over and over! I just felt like it ruined the atmosphere of a nice steak house. Myself personally thought the music was a little loud but when I mentioned it they fixed it right away! I'm not sure if others have or will feel the same way I did but I'm sure if the restaurant feels its an issue they'll address it. It will only add to the wonderful experience of eating at this fine establishment!

Riley was the most amazing server. Friendly and punctual! Her timing was always perfect. I’m very difficult to please when I eat out and we have zero complaints! We will be back ❤️

So disappointed for the price. Ordered the cod with potatoes and spicy slaw. Cod okay, potatoes okay, spicy slaw should not be so spicy you can not eat it and I have a high tolerance for spice. Please taste your food before to serve it. Can’t even eat the potatoes as the slaw was dumped on top. Guys, you can’t charge $32 for this, seriously.

We stayed at the connected Hotel the night before, crazy busy... Hockey Game, Saturday night... I so get it, im a server as well. But the rudeness of the stressed out servers was uncalled for on the phone!!! So we thought we'd give it a go on the Sunday, hubby went downstairs. Made a reservation perfect, we were stoked to get In. Sorry... So not as good as you make it out to be. Spent $50 on wine ,tipped our server. She was AMAZING !! Poor Vegetables 😫 steak so overcooked

Absolutely delicious. I will be going back again. I think this is my new favorite place to dine out. I recommend making a reservation if going because the tables fill up quickly.

First time there for dinner April 9th. Our server Riley was so friendly and very attentive. The food was awesome and done just right. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was awesome. Highly recommend the Ribeye Steak. Highly recommend Riley. Will be back

Went to the new location at four points tonight. I had chicken scaloppini while my wife had the pesto chicken fettucine[SIC]. My two fork fulls of spaghetti were cold even though the plate was hot and were leathery in texture (never had leathery noodles before). The chicken itself was probably 3/16ths thick and the total width was probably about the same as a McDonalds hamburger patty. The coating was somewhat overdone (not burned in any way) though the chicken was not dry. The sauce was pretty tasty and really kicked up the somewhat bland chicken a few notches. Most disappointing though was this barely qualified as a snack it was so small. I did complain to the server but didn't even offer to warm it up let alone replace that side with a fresh hot one. The fettucine[SIC] was quite a bit bigger (thankfully; my wife is a light eater so I filled up a little on her left-overs) and tasted OK though far more oily tasting than creamy and an hour later both of us still have an oily aftertaste going on. We did find 4 tiny bits of chicken and assume there were probably a few more in there. The clam flavor wasn't too strong but considering there wasn't supposed to be clam in it that's not a good thing. Since the "cheap" wine was $8 a glass my wife stuck to water. Not that we can't afford it. I love coffee but I won't pay $3.50 for a little cup of it at a restaurant either. Definitely a pass (at least on these two dishes).

Had a lovely dinner here on Saturday December 10th. The waiter was excellent and the food was mostly excellent as well. I say mostly because my dining partner ordered the strip-loin steak cooked medium well and it was very rare. They took the steak back and recooked the same piece of meat that had been cut in half so then the steak was very tough! The waiter reportedly reported this to the manage and he deducted the half kale Caesar salad from our bill ($7). I believe he should have taken the steak dinner off as my dining partner did not eat it and instead fed it to her pup later. Still four stars as my dinner (clam carbonara) and the appetizer (calamari) were excellent! Also the wine list was lovely and not too over priced! I will definitely visit again soon!

I was excited to try the new Twisted Olive Steakhouse as Kamloops doesn't have many options for steak. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner and everything was perfect! From the great wine, attentive staff and amazing steak we loved our meals. I had the New York strip,which was seasoned and cooked perfectly and my wife's Sirloin Oscar was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back! I look forward to trying some of the other great looking things on the menu.

I have been on three separate occasions. Each time has been worse than the time before ?!? I really wanted to love it because the wait staff has always been amazing and accommodating but that kitchen needs a revamp!

Wow. All hype. Food was way below average. Service was so poor. Out of so many items and n the be menu from beer to advertised specials. Way over priced for bland food. Eight different dinners. Eight disappointed diners. One dinner didn't receive her dinner because they were out of it and did don't tell her until we all received our dinners. Never coming back.

The menu is amazing. So hard to pick one thing. Good thing we didn't have to thanks to their 3 course meal. The beef tenderloin was so tender. The Cesar was pricey at $9.50 but it came with a pepperoncini, mozzarella cheese and a slice of pepperoni and it was spicy just how I like it. 5 words: Bacon wrapped chorizo stuffed figs 👌🏻

A fantastic prime rib steak dinner had by both my wife and I as we celebrated our anniversary with dinner. Friendly and quick service made for an enjoyable night out.

Highly recommend. We rarely leave a restaurant 100% satisfied...and this was one of those rare times!

Excellent time with friends. The waitress was a delight, very attentive and competent as well. I had the Italian Wedding soup and one of their salads and both were very good. My friends ordered pasta dishes and. Believe they enjoyed them as well.

I eat here once in a while (every chance I get) and am never disappointed and never get sick afterwards (I am sensitive to junk) Steaks are incredible any way you want them

Flavors are fresh and delicious 😋 ✨ ⭐️ I had the fresh mussels and roasted Brussel sprouts with a side of bruschetta (seafood is a must!!!)

Great menu, the steak was tasty and tender. Service was exceptional!
