Review Dorian Greek House - Kamloops

My first time here was nothing short of amazing! Amazing service and huge portions! Got the Greek platter to share between 2 and we went home with quite a lot of leftovers. I would recommend booking a reservation to ensure you get a seat. When we went, we had no idea about that but we still got a seat. For sure will be coming back again and again!

It’s such a huge restaurant inside the tiny door in the heart of downtown. The place has 2 level seating area next to some amazing plants. The food was authentic and quantity was great. A bit pricey, but perfect for date night!

Great moussaka and and lemon potatoes! Friendly table service with a smile. I noticed a lot of people ordering ahead for takeout as well as picking up, and drivers hanging around with their ubiquitous red bag, while I was there... I easily ignored them, but their presence didn't go unnoticed. I don't know if there's a better way to handle this in such a small entryway. perhaps a divider between the dining room and the doorway? Softer automatic door closers? Most dining in patrons go to their second floor as well.

This is my first time here, but definitely not the last! We were put upstairs and not only was it very clean, but very well decorated. It felt like we were transported to Greece! We ordered the calamari and the escargot for appies. The calamari was perfectly cooked, not stringy or chewy like some other restaurants and the tzatziki had an absolutely beautiful punch of garlic. When they say they love garlic they mean it! The escargot was nicely cooked and my friend (who hates escargot) kept stealing forkfulls when they thought we weren't looking. We got the moussaka, spanakapita, and the greek treat. Oy vey! There was so much food!! The salads tasted fresh out of the garden and the dressing on them was simply amazing, the moussaka was so creamy it was criminal, the greek treat chicken was charred to perfection and the mushroom sauce! Omg the mushroom sauce. I just cant describe the sauce. Sooooo good. The spanakapita was simultaneously crispy, smooth and flaky! Got a good meal for a decent price. A lovely atmosphere for dining with your family or a good date dinner. The waitresses were quick and really friendly. I highly suggest this place.

We have dined and and takeaway from here a few times now. Dining in, the atmosphere is lively with a great botanical feel with lots of live plants. Meals are always large portions and plenty for taking some home for the next day! The platter is usually our go to and it's just the best!!!

Second time here since 2019. Excellent authentic made on-site Greek food. Shorthanded this evening but the three ladies handled themselves with aplomb. Amazing. Thank you again for the perfect meal.

Accidentally ordered the 4 piece instead of the 2 piece chicken souvlaki. Came labeled “office pack” on the receipt. Huge portion of food, easily enough for 4. Yummy Greek staples and quality flavours. Go for it!
