Came here for dinner with some friends. Not busy on this Saturday night and we were seated promptly. We ordered green tea and settled in.
We decided to order some tuna and salmon sashimi and an assortment of rolls. The tuna and salmon were melt in your mouth and tasted very fresh. The rolls were excellent. We also got assorted tempura and they were great - not greasy at all.
Nice little shop in the mountains. Will definitely come back when we come that way again.
One of the best sushi place I’ve ever been! The staff are great, very friendly and polite! Food is incredible! Would definitely drive 3 hours just to eat here! (I’m from Calgary)
Our experience there was good. The soup, cucumber salad, sunomono and tempura were all good. The sushi was okay but they slice the fish pretty thin. It always surprises me when restaurants do that because I notice that right away. I assume other people notice that too.
Deep fried banana and ice cream was quite good.
So it's a nice place but they need to be a little more generous with the sushi.
I am giving it a 3.5 only because the service was quite slow. We arrived as two adults and two children. The restaurant was not that busy when we arrived. We waited a while for our water and tea. We were not sure if we had to write our order on a piece of paper that was left on our table with a pencil. The restaurant was filling up at this time. The only server was running all over trying to accomodate the whole restaurant. Having two hungry kids this made the dinning experience unpleasant. The food came out in an odd order, and we were not given plates to eat from. We used our napkins. I cannot say the food was bad. It was great for being in Invermere and the Ebi sunomono was one of the best I have had. If the server is the owner she should do the restaurant a favour and hire another server. If she is not the owner she should tell them to hire another server.
Delicious. Some of the best Japanese food I've had. I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Also reasonably priced. I wish there miso soup wasn't fish based.
Enjoyed the sushi, it was very fresh. Rice to fish ratio was great. Surprised at the quality from a small town. We did take out. Great friendly service.
So good!! Lots of vegetarian options and so very tasty. We're going back for sure. Gluten free and vegan options. In Invermere for the weekend and we're eating here twice.
Visiting Invermere for the long weekend and my husband asked me to look for a place for dinner tonight. Felt like sushi and this was so close to our resort. They only take reservations for 4 or more. We were lucky that we got there around 7 because 10 mins after that all the tables were filled, good thing they have seating at the counter. The waitress was friendly and told us about the special. We order the sushi boat for 2 for $39.95. It came with soup, salad, gyozas, ahi nigiri, lobster roll, salmon dynamite roll, spicy tuna avocado roll. All the rolls were fresh and tasty and I thought the rolls had the perfect amount of rice and filling not too much rice like some other places.
This is the only sushi 🍣🍱 place around but it is also fantastic! The sashimi tastes very fresh and cut into generous sizes. Gyoza was perfectly yummy. Everything was delish 😊
The atmosphere is very friendly and clean. They also have Japanese style booths for the bigger groups.
Worth a try. We decided to try this place after seeing an 84% rating and mostly positive reviews. The people with negative reviews are out to lunch. We came at lunch, had great attentive service and AMAZING FOOD. We are from Edmonton and have a great selection of sushi restaurants....this would easily fit in at home. All of us had the lunch special which came with salad, soup (both the miso and Japanese onion were delicious), and 16 mouth sized pieces of sushi (golf ball width). Definitely worth the $13.95. Ps we also had the tempura and a spider roll which topped off a great lunch.
Just left the restaurant and all my friends and I have to say is wow. The restaurant is definitely small. But for the time we were there the staff never stopped for a moment. The chef was outstanding as well as the service. Though we did have to wait a while my party felt it was most certainly worth the wait. The food was great and the dessert was even better. I would recommend anyone to try fubuki.
Great sushi. Little pricy but worth it. Also, the sobeys up the hill sells some of their sushi as well. You can order take outbas well.
Favourite Eats in Invermere. This is by far my favourite place to eat in Invermere. The atmosphere is great and the sushi is delicious! Some of my favourites are the grilled edamame to start, and be sure to try the green dragon. However, my favourite thing to do is ask Dan, the owner and chef, what he recommends!
Brilliant simplicity!. I've visited Fubuki regularly for lunch and occasionally dinner and have always been so impressed with the skill in the preparation of the sushi and the excellent service we've received. The freshness of the seaweed salad and creative veggie and sushi rolls keeps me coming back every time. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying the food and warm atmosphere.
A real surprise!. Fantastic, friendly service, and delicious food!
We visited Fubuki during the down season and couldn't have had a better experience. The special was delicious and well appointed for two people. The service was efficient and friendly. We were VERY pleasantly surprised to find such a great sushi place in town. Will definitely go back on our next visit
Awesome place!!!. Fubuki sushi is a fantastic place to eat! Good atmosphere, good people and great food!
The best thing on the menu after you have fantastic sushi or veggie/prawn/assorted tempura's is to finish the night off with the BANANA TEMPURA! Two scoops of vanilla ice cream, with pieces of banana covered in tempura batter and topped off with chocolate sauce! Such a delicious plate! It makes me go back more often.
Go to fubuki sushi and enjoy all of the delicious food they have to offer!!
Fantastic Sushi!. We always love to eat at Fubuki Sushi and the service is exceptional. Sushi is not a fast food. It isn't always the best choice for people who are expecting to be in and out of a restaurant in record time. Summer is a busy time in Invermere and sometimes you have to wait no matter where you eat.
Thank you Fubuki Sushi for being the best restaurant in town! We are lucky to have you here.
Best sushi I've ever had! Had a memorable birthday for dad in the private room. There is lots of selection for someone who can't eat shellfish. Try these: green dragon, TKO, Fiona, spicy tuna, salmon/avocado. Specials were divine: summer roll with mango was scrumptious and the ACC with cashews was devoured! A bit pricy but well worth it. There were no crabsticks to be found (hooray!) and everything was fresh and flavorful. The sauces were unique and not overdone, complimenting the fish beautifully. Topped it off with birthday dessert - fried bananas with icecream and chocolate sauce. Skip the Seaweed outsiders and the miso - good but many other much better choices.
WOW. I love Sushi, and this place delivered. The selection and menu are fantastic and the chefs really know what they are doing. Two thumbs and one hungry customer satisfied.
Mmmm Sushi. I would eat here every day if I could. What a pleasant dining experience! Sit at the sushi bar, and be blown away by decadent morsels of delight. Reserve the tatami room for bigger parties, or enjoy a table with friends. Everything about Fubuki Sushi Invermere is right.
Fubuki Sushi is always such a pleasure. So many options that are vegetarian or easily made vegan, and the food is always phenomenal. Definitely a top tier restaurant, can be on the pricey side but totally worth the treat! Great for special occasions
Great sushi place out in Invermere! We were definitely not expecting this type of quality out in Invermere . Welways vacation in Radium in the inbetween seasons of skiing and golf and this year we had a craving for sushi. We looked on Google and saw the great reviews for this sushi place and decided to try it out. Its a small little place but has a great warm and welcoming environment. As soon as we stepped in the door we were welcomed with a big smile from the staff. The server was super nice and very helpful. We have a toddler in tow and this place is family friendly! We ordered the chef special which was well priced and very tasty. The food came out quickly and the food was very well prepared. It definitely surprised us to have such good tasting sushi in such a remote area. We definitely recommend this place and will go back in the future. Also this place is great at accommodating large and small groups as it has all types of seating available (even a private room).
Delicious dinner while vacationing in Invermere. Polite and friendly staff and the food was fresh and tasty. Well definitely visit again when we are back in town.
We stayed 2 nights in Radium Hot Springs and visited this place 2 days in a row. We felt it was worth it, the waitress was very friendly, great food, well prepared, and a local beer to go with it. We definitely recommend Fubuki Sushi, if we're ever back this way we will be eating here again.
