A great small Ontario bakery famous for square sugar donuts - they are truly the best and my fave. A great find for sure.
We made a lunch stop during our drive and picked up some cookies as we walked past this bakery. At home now, and just ate half of a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. Mind blown. This little gem of a bakery is amazing! I am sad to live so far away but will make sure to detour any time I am nearby.

Everything is always top notch...especially the Apple fritters, and the amazing custom cakes we get done for some of our events....now I'm hungry for Apple fritters

When we were moving to Town we were told the Harriston Bakery had great butter tarts, which is true.
However nobody told us about the Eclairs... Oh the Eclairs. I'm convinced they're 2 servings of dairy with all the cream and the milk chocolate. Right??

What? The reviewer who stated that the service is poor must have reviewed the wrong place. I've been a customer since we moved to a town about 30 mins from here and still make the 30 minute drive for fresh baked goodness for just over two years. The owner and the ladies who work the counter have been incredible, they always greet with a warm smile.
So their baked goodness... Wow... In addition to the donuts I would drive hours for, their muffin creations and seasonal treats like churros are all above anything you can buy in a regular store. Also, if you happen to be cruisin by, their lunch sandwiches are very good.
I do agree that their winter hours can be a little random after having been disappointed a time or two, but their regular hours are consistent.
Great little bakery. This bakery is great. I will admit that the hours can be strange but if its open everything is freshly baked and delicious!

Well worth the stop in Harriston (not Guelph). I've driven past the bakery more times than I can count. Even saw handmade signs near the chip truck south of town, but never stopped until last week. I was an idiot, and now I'm not. This is the bakery of our youth before coconut oil started being added to icings. Their uniquely square chocolate dipped donuts put the hockey donuts to shame. Not too sweet, definitely not blah, and the donut itself... I'd forgot what a well-made donut could taste like. So far we've tried their chop suet bread, brownies of various combinations, muffins that are moist and wonderful, hamburger buns that never saw meat because we devoured them like dinner rolls, fruit turnovers so flakey they can't be eaten while driving, and an apple crumble pie with the best crumble we've ever tasted (apologies to moms and grandmas everywhere.). This is the bakery for people who bake or who used to bake or who bake out of frustration at what gets sold as baked. And you'll walk out with more change than you'd imagine. Coffee drinks made fresh so give up the drive-thru a block north at least once. You owe your taste buds!

I highly recommend this bakery whether you live here or are just passing through! I try to stop every time I am in the area.
The donuts and baked items are always tasty and neatly organized in a display case. I also highly recommend the bread and buns (which I make sure I get every year for thanksgiving and Christmas dinner).
The owner and staff are very polite and the prices are very reasonable!
Delicious bakery!! I didn't get any photos of the inside and fortunately but I highly recommend visiting this place if you are driving through what is open!
Stopped by to visit a friend that lives behind Bakery last fall and he went to Foodland bought a Chicken and wedges, stopped in Bakery and bought delicious Donuts. Really good.

Just wow! Donuts, dessert bars, and dinner rolls are what we picked up, and they were beyond delicious. Everything was so fresh the bread and donuts were so soft and full of flavor. Might have to drive all the way back sometime soon!
