Great basic diner in downtown Hamilton! Had the breakfast special - get the bacon - it’s excellent! Eggs were cooked as requested, home fries and toast very good and the coffee even better. What’s not to love? Expect to be back tomorrow for breakfast again on our last day of this visit and will come again when we return!

A group of 6 went and the service was quick and friendly. Got the big breakfast and left pretty satisfied. The home fries were the highlight, real crunch and salty and the coffee was smooth. Good value too.

Came here for the first time today, after finding John Street Diner on an internet list of great breakfast diners.
Have to say, it was a great decision to come here with some friends.
The food was amazing. Had the peirogi breakfast what an excellent. My buddies all thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well.
Service was top notch with friendly staff, and the prices, well they just can't be beat.
We'll definitely be returning here.

Clean and quick service. The price is good for the amount of food you get, I usually get the big breakfast for 10$+. The one thing I would change in this location is to change up the coffee selection every once and a while. As the other locations called jet cafe does provide 5-6 kinda of coffee that you can choose from. But other then that the employee's are nice and always smiling and greeting you at the door. I so far never encountered a dirty table. I highly recommend this location for breakfast as I haven't be there for lunch.

Wonderful "hole in the wall" classic diner on John Street. Seriously good, pretty cheap food. Satisfies that breakfast urge. The reuben and home fries were crispy, salty, and filling. Also have hot sauce available, not just ketchup. The green smoothie tastes better than it looks - started out like broccoli, but ended sweeter like the peach puree. Felt like a healthy choice to get some veg! My dining companion had to get the smoked salmon benny and it was everything she was hoping for.

This place has good prices and large portions! The big perogi breakfast is excellent. It comes with 2 eggs, spicy sausage, perogies with fried onions and bacon, and toast. The eggs are always cooked nicely and the service is always friendly.

My goal today was to try somewhere new for breakfast. Saw John Street Diner on Google and listened to some good reviews about breakfast! The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and were very friendly and attentive throughout! I was surprised to see a periogi breakfast on the menu and knew I needed to try it! Everything was delicious and super decent prices! Will be back for sure!

John Street Diner is one of the few remaining traditional breakfast diners with reasonable prices, great portions, and delicious food. The incredibly friendly and attentive service staff is outstanding, and as a result we come here about twice a month. Keep up the great work!

Came here for an early breakfast. The eggs benedict are so good and drenched in sauce. The home fries are delicious. Overall is cheap and good. A family standard.

Absolute favourite breakfast place. Service is amazing and the lady who serves us is always so friendly. Get the super. 2 eggs 2 sausage 3 ham 2 bacon, toast, homefries and a pancake or French toast, for 10.99! Thats crazy in Hamilton. Amazing food and good coffee, find myself and my girlfriend here atleast once a month.

Walked past a million times and never seen it before. Stopped in today for a quick lunch. We all ordered the all day breakfast slightly differently and they all came out exactly as ordered with one minor flaw that was easily fixed. Prompt service delicious food and great price definitely be coming back again
