Great basic diner in downtown Hamilton! Had the breakfast special - get the bacon - it’s excellent! Eggs were cooked as requested, home fries and toast very good and the coffee even better. What’s not to love? Expect to be back tomorrow for breakfast again on our last day of this visit and will come
A group of 6 went and the service was quick and friendly. Got the big breakfast and left pretty satisfied. The home fries were the highlight, real crunch and salty and the coffee was smooth. Good value too.

This place has good prices and large portions! The big perogi breakfast is excellent. It comes with 2 eggs, spicy sausage, perogies with fried onions and bacon, and toast. The eggs are always cooked nicely and the service is always friendly.

John Street Diner is one of the few remaining traditional breakfast diners with reasonable prices, great portions, and delicious food. The incredibly friendly and attentive service staff is outstanding, and as a result we come here about twice a month. Keep up the great work!

Walked past a million times and never seen it before. Stopped in today for a quick lunch. We all ordered the all day breakfast slightly differently and they all came out exactly as ordered with one minor flaw that was easily fixed.
