Review O'neill's Fast Foods - Hamilton

A Hamilton must try for sure! The food was so good I forgot to take a picture first! The Pugger kicked my @$$, so totally worth it. Garlic mayo and fried onions are next level.

1 pound burger called the Pugger... with a load of bacon and cheese... under 13 bucks before tax... it was way worth the drive... the cook/counter guy was great... talked to us the whole time he cooked... my buddy got a smaller version 1/2 lb and some really good homemade fries... and that was still more food than he could handle... AWESOME!!! Yes it's in kinda a sketchy area... with no eat in... but we just drove to a park up the street and let the meat sweats begin... lol...

Went in for a bacon cheese burger with fries, the fries were freshly cut and good, the burger was a disappointment. The bacon was hard and not crispy or juicy, the patty was big, but bland in flavour. Wanted to get milkshake fir my daughter, the cashier said they have no icecream, so no shakes. Also few sketchy people stumbling on the sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon near the restaurant. Fries were good, strangers in area looked like they were on something and burger couldve been better.

I'm a regular here and we absolutely love the fish and chip combo. But tonight I finally got to try the curry and roti and it was absolutely incredible. I cant wait to try the stuffed patties and jerk chicken!

Fantastic spot! Great tasting food with good size portions. The price is right as well. I highly recommend the country harvest burger. Great fries and onion rings. Large menu with lots of options. We will be back when we're on the neighbourhood.

I ordered from here via Door dash on the weekend and I was so disappointed :(. The way the menu is laid out it's hard to tell what's a combo and what's not. I ended up paying $15.81 for just a burger (the Pugger). It's a huge burger but had a weird flavor. I'd give one star but the deep fried cheesecake was nice.

Been getting that harvest burger so good with these taco fries , I inhaled the burger to quick, staff is great , amazing food !!!

Used to be the best burger in the city. Now you couldn't pay me to eat there. Dry, overcooked burgers leaves you longing for the old staff, when the lose a friend burger would cause neighbors to move, when the Hulk couldn't defeat the pugger and when the slapsticks truly SLAPPED . Now, the only thing slapped is your wallet

Food is fantastic! Always cooked the way you want it! The milkshakes are just like Mom made. The prices are excellent. The staff are courteous! Delivery is fast! Simply a pleasure to eat on those don't want to cook nights!

I would give rating of 0 if i could. used to be awesome with great portion sizes, and a decent price. Went in today, and wow it's changed.<br/><br/>The chicken Fingers used to be real chicken, now they're over processed garbage below the quality of McDonalds. They used to come with a generous helping of fries, but there was less than half in my order today. Ordered a Large order of onion rings for $8.99. I got 16 onion rings. 16. Sixteen. And 4 of them were end pieces no bigger than a toonie. Large fry, same deal. Less than half of what I got when I ordered 6 months ago. <br/><br/>Mind you, the Saucy dog was good. But it was like a band aid on a brain hemorrhage. One good product doesn't even remotely help a very disappointing experience. I used to recommend this place. Now I'm sorry I ever did.

This place used to be good...wow has it ever changed! All the things I used to order are still on the menu but the ingredient quality and preparation has gone way down hill.<br/>The burgers are often burnt black, they switched their mozzarella sticks to a cheaper version as well as other items.<br/>When I went to pick food up I found the restaurant to be dirty and I did not see one single employee wash their hands the entire time I waited.<br/>The service is lackluster, the employees unprofessional in behaviour. <br/>No thanks! Will not order again and would not recommend at all. <br/>Sad to say that, seeing that I used to absolutely love this place.

I normally don't post this type of thing but because I am so offended and disgusted with the service I just received I need to not only vent but to share!<br/>Today I ordered dinner from O'Neils on Barton st. I have been sick for three days and was hoping to order a quick easy dinner to feed my family. It came and the driver didn't have change. While he ran to get changed and we realized half the order was missing. I called the store to be told the driver is the owner and he is "retarded" I said pardon me...he said "no really he is he has mental illness he is retarded" I can't tell you how offended I was by his rude and ignorant comments. They were laughing in the background and making it a complete joke. When the owner returned with change he said oh...well I don't know why he said that I was going to fire him anyway! REALLY!! So when he returned with the food he proceed to say he was sorry the guy taking orders is bipolar and has diabetes and sometimes yells at customers! No wonder this place has gone down the tubes! I'm so very angry that mental illness was just made into a joke from a place that is suppose to be professional. I will NEVER order from oneils again it's sad that this solid business has become a huge joke. Thanks for letting me vent and share this I'm still blown away!

This place has been a disapoitment to me i ordered chicken fingers and instead of fries got a salad and this came to 16$. This place is very pricy not to mention the salad had no variety it was half fast not enough cheese nor vegetables. Tomatoes wer not cut. They have good food but im not impressed with this service.

Have ordered here from time to time in the past & attended today as they didn't pick up their phone. As soon as I entered was asked if I'm picking up & was told they're not taking orders... The time was 7pm on a Friday & a take-out burger restaurant isn't taking walk-ins. Will never go back & will be looking for a new establishment for the go to burger joint!!! Only a matter of time for them to go under unless they figure out their issue(s)...

I used to frequent this place alot and the food and service was awesome. Not sure if it's under new management but it's not the same place as it used to be. The service....sucks. The pugger burger has been imasculated into a 1/2 lb burger now but they still advertise it as a 1 lb beef patty. We were suppose to recieve a side of coleslaw with our order and forks and didn't get those either. My advice is to sit back and remember the good old days when Oneils was a great place to get a burger and don't go there or else your memory of this place will be tainted.

I normally love O'Neils, until today,   We ordered 3 dublin deluxe, one Quarter Pounder with Cheese, side order of onion rings, cheddar cheese balls and mozzarella sticks and a med gravy.  $65 with delivery.  alright I'm good with that, the cheese balls are amazing.   so we order at 5pm, and wait, 2 hours goes by and our food has arrived!   alright I know its a Tuesday night and it can be busy so I can deal with the  2 hours, its not uncommon for this place.  first they forgot the debit machine, ok no problem, then we open the bags and are missing items. and our food is ice cold!  we call and complain and are told to Microwave our dinner! they offered a credit that we felt was completely unfair. even if they offered our food at half price I would of taken it, instead we had to send the food back with the delivery company. 65$ and 2 hours and that is what we are told! it sucks! we love O'neils and are so disappointed with this service! unfortunetly we will not order again from O'Neils @ Barton ST

Ordered my food, 2 hours later and it still didn't arrive so I just cancelled the order. After this establishment being under new management recently, every time I've gotten service from there it has been horrible. I've been ordering there since they've opened up YEARS ago, and I will not order from there again. I USED to love this place.

Dirty dive filth. If you are going to pick up your food don't go in early or you will loose your appetite. Hose it down once in awhile.

Staff/Service Horrible. Used to order from here quite often. Originally staff not very friendly, kind of rude however, the food made up for it. Not sure if they've recently changed management but the staff is different and the service and food is horrible. Called last night @ 10pm for an order. Was told delivery was over for the night, even though their menu says delivery until close- which would have been 11pm. Sad, will be the last time I order from here. Prices are high and in this day and time, I want to be satisified with my purchases.

What an experience!! I had the pugger burger with onion rings. The burger was massive and cooked and seasoned perfectly! The chipotle mayo was great as well! A mom and pop burger joint you should definately check out!

O'neills review. Makes me feel a bit disappointed by fact people are complaining about being on hold.. if you flipped the situation around, if you ordered food in the restaurant, and it was being cooked, you would want them to put the next customer on hold, to ensure your food isn' burnt/ and made properly. The small amount of time you or somebody else spends on hold,( it does not take much time for food to turn from optimally cooked to a tad bit burnt) is used to ensure food is cooked/prepared properly, Also factor in there is an O'neills up the mountain on wellington, and they are not affliatated, As a long time customer.. I think O'neills is fantastic.. Especially the pugger burger and the flingers/fries, Also if you did have a legitimate complaint wouldn't it be better to let them know?

Quality is starting to lack. I used to enjoy O'Neill's very much because they had reasonable prices for delicious food. <br/><br/>Over the past 6 months, however, the quality of food has gone way down, the service is poor, and the delivery drivers try to tip themselves. On a number of occasions, my food has been under-cooked. The fries limp and unappealing, the meat not slightly burnt along the edges. I've also had my bun come blackened and charcoal tasting, making the burger disgusting. The toppings seem lacking, too, lately, no longer with crisp lettuce or their lovely garlic mayo (at least not enough of it to actually taste with the burger). The said part is that there really isn't any point in complaining because the workers tend to have very poor attitudes and will hang up or berate you.<br/><br/>All in all, I think the workers are suffering because the owner(s) is cheap, lacking the skills to motivate the employees, and needs a larger facility to benefit both the workers and the owner's profit margins.

RU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!. They put me on hold for five Minutes then come to tell me they cant DELIVER TO ME BECAUSE I AM WEST OF OTTAWA STREET!!!!!!!!! What kinda service is that for a customer for nearly 15 years F*** YOU ONEILS NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Horrible Service. My friends frequently used to eat here, however on a particularly ridiculous occasion they delivered food where a poutine had exploded through the bag and coated everything and leaving itself ruined, the staff at first offered to replace it, but when the issue of a (over priced) burnt garlic bread was mentioned not only did they refuse to fix the mess, but they also argued that the food could not be burnt, despite it being clearly blackened. <br/><br/>The food may be good most of the time, but when it isn't the staff is not accommodating or polite at all.

Oh SO GOOD!!. I & my Family absolutely love there food specially there no-so-nacho's and the kitchen sink amazing same with the poutine great tasting food at a great price at both location :) gotta try it!! burgers are amazing too

The hamburgers at this place are impressive. Nothing like I have ever had before. Taste was second to none and at a reasonable price too.
