Late review:
Meltwich does simple best. Grilled cheese with some toppings hit the spot well for my craves. Tried one of their Specialty Grilled Cheese (forgot which one) and it was decent -- I much prefer adding in my own toppings/sauces to the Classic Cheddar Melt. There's a ton of ways to switch up the Classic Cheddar Melt with their variety of bread options, sauce, protein and toppings.
In store is kind of tiny but due to the circumstances of COVID, there wasn't many people anyways. Their menu were all digital via their signage boards and they also have weekly specials which might be an interest.
I've also tried their Philly Cheese Steak, which I thought would be more of a sub but it came out looking more like a burger instead. Super yummy but for the price and the sizing, it did not fill me up... so I didn't get that again and just stuck to their Classic Grilled Cheeses from then on.

I tried poutine for the first time. Hess village Meltwhich staff advised to try their Philly Poutine. I love the presentation and the taste was delicious.

The last few times I ate here I was super disappointed but after today, I'm never going there again. Everything is always super greasy and nasty but today I ordered 2 of the big melts (which I have had in the past and were awesome) supposed to be grilled cheese sandwiches as burger buns. This is what I get... literally just bread instead of a bun and it's so soggy I can't even eat it. Waste of $50 just like the last 2 times I ordered from here. :(

Spicy Nashville Poutine made my day. Cryspy fries and nashville sauce was a good combination. Must try at the HESS Street location!!

I’ve given meltwich a few tries and I’ve been disappointed to varying degrees every time. It’s not bad, but for that price point there are better places to go.
My reoccurring disappointment is the poutine. Fries are always under done, and those are not cheese curds even though the menu says they are. Stuff is either under done, over done, and usually under seasoned. I don’t think I will order again but I’m happy for everyone who has had better luck here.

My overall experience was disappointing. From the moment i walked in i noticed only 2 people working. The place had a couple people dining. It wasn't super busy or slammed. So it made it all the more confusing when my burger took ~40 mins to be delivered to my table and the cheese on the grilled cheese buns were not even toasted and the cheese not melted at all. On top of that my beer was completely forgotten.
