Will not be going back, which is very sad. My spouse saw a large mouse run out from one room and across the wall to a different section of the building. We instantly brought it to attention our waitress asked if there was anything they can do and all we asked for was take out containers. She came back with them and also said don't worry about the bill *we did tip her since it wasnt her fault and she was good* we knew right away there would be an issue since all the seats had stains on them and some had black sections *as seen in pictures* and the floors looked like no one has cleaned them *reason why there are mice* In the pictures the one booth had no one sitting there the whole hour and the table was cleared before we got there and yet theres food and dirty napkins underneath. Management has to know about the issue if they instantly gave our meal for free without coming out to see us or ask anymore questions... do not eat here you will feel grossed out just by the booth chairs, look like they never been cleaned before and knowing there's nice who knows what else may be crawling in the kitchen. I do give them credit our food was tasting so good until this had happened we had no complaints as service was good and very little wait for our food.

Used to be able to count on this place for plain simple meals in a relatively clean and maintained restaurant , but lately their menu has undergone changes. Their simple chicken pot pie ain't so simple anymore, instead of a pastry style topping it is now covered in a big ole doughy dry biscuit totally ruined the taste. Our booth was rediculouly small and felt like there was holes and bumps under the padding. We probably did get the best server thankfully and she tried her best, majority of the other servers were busy on there phones or chatting over on the east side of the restaurant , cleanliness was also lacking, obviously ownership/management is not paying attention. Will not be back to this rymal road location anytime soon.

I always usually go to the Upper James location and every staff member that I've dealt with there are so friendly. My grandma and I went in today to this location as this is her usual dine in for swiss chalet. We got for take out And the lady behind the counter was extremely rude and rushing.I very rarely leave comments like this, But I feel like she definitely needs to be retrained with customer service skills.She was very unprofessional and snobby. I understand people have bad days but her professionalism was not there whatsoever.I felt like we were a burden that we even came in to order.

They stop seating people at 9pm when their restaurant says they close at 10pm. Meh food and less then mediocre staff. The dining room is FREEZING. I literally had to drape a scarf over my shoulders so I don’t shiver while eating

The quality of this location continuously plummets and I totally get we need to be more understanding but places like this are abusing covid excuses. I haven't had a fresh meal from this location since way before covid even started, things just got a lot worse. Our food is always late when delivered and ALWAYS cold (we get the air fryer ready to throw everything into the moment it arrives) but I love how they charge extra for delivery. On once occasion while picking up they walked right past our car three times and tried saying we weren't there and then they had the nerve to say they tried calling us but our phone records showed they tried to call 10 minutes after we called to complain. This location is awful.

Quick efficient service at the Takeout. I did order a combo and they forgot my drink but no biggie. I have pop at home. Food was fresh and hot. Delish as I've come to know Swiss Chalet for!

We stopped at the Rymal road location yesterday around 3:30 - 4. May 5 2021.The young woman who took my order was very pleasant. The food came out quick. We were very disappointed when we opened the dinners though. My husband used to own a restaurant so I know this! Your fries were black! You need to change your oil! I know times are tough but if you want people coming back you’ve got to change your oil so the fries are golden not black. Most of ours went in the trash.

Do you enjoy food poisoning? Salmonella? Fish so old and smelly that the crackwhores on Barton and Wentworth say, "Something smells off about that fish."  <br/><br/>In that case,the Lincside is your spot.

The Lincside - Has been an incredibly fine restaurant for many a year.  If anyone has a complaint - My suggestion would be that you probably complain about other restaurants just as much.  Why don't you just look at the positive side and not be so negative.  Service is always pleasant - Granted sometimes they are not busiest to demand a second or third waitress and when an excess of customers show - They will be behind the 8 ball.  My dining and drinking experiences over the years have always been TOP DRAWER.  Thank you Raj and mom and all the great servers over my many years of attendance.  Keep up the great work!!!!!! What service. Had to leave as service is pathetic. Waitress walked by us twice even though our menus were down and we looked ready to order. The first time was to go to a table that came in after us and check if anyone needed drinks at another table. The second time she again walked past us and took the order from the table that came in after us. We were putting our coats on when she finally asked if we were ready to order, Needless to say we were ready to leave.

Died of old age waiting. Went there for lunch one day. thought I had on my invisle cloak . they sat us and ignored us while the doated over the drunk regulars ar the bar. It was like we we an inconvinence. even the owner was there . I. think they were his friends at the bar everyone was on a first name basis. I live right across the street from them and seems they really just want to sling beer on their patio. they always have ads for wait stafe advertised but never hire anyone that I see.

Went to the Lincside for lunch with some girls from work. Service was great server was friendly, food was amazing! A lot to choose from though as they have an express lunch a dinner menu and daily specials posted in the foyer. I had the fish special it was tilapia and it was fresh and spiced perfectly. My friends chose off the express menu and said the soup was obviously home made and the burger was fantastic. There was only one girl working the restaurant but when we were there she seemed to manage just fine. Can't wait for our next lunch date!

Worst place to eat. Went there for breakfast this weekend and the fruit served to me was rotten. Also the ketchup was bad and when I told the server she said sorry but we don't have anymore and never offered to replace my food which I had just poured ketchup on. Will never ever go back!

Decent food - terrible service!. I have been to the Lincside before .... I always leave saying "never again" .... but then end up back there because someone chooses it and I say what the heck. The food is decent, the service is terrible. The breakfast special runs until 10am - don't show up at 9:45 expecting the special price because your server won't acknowledge you until after 10 and you won't get the price because "it's in the computer, there's nothing I can do". It's only a dollar less - but it's the principle. Today I was there for lunch with a small group(6). We sat ourselves, waited 15-20 minutes before we were acknowledged and the lack of attention continued. We had to set our own place settings and the extras(gravy etc) were forgotten. The food, when we got it was good and our waitress was very nice but clearly over worked. I actually feel sorry for the staff here, my sense is that the issue is with the owners. Also, the kitchen uses a strobe light outside the door to let the wait staff know when an order is up - very annoying if you are facing it. If you go, make sure you're not in a hurry and like the person you're dining with - cause it will be a commitment!

This was the worst dining experience we have ever had. It took 30 minutes to get one appetizer, and almost 2 hours to get our entrees, which we ordered from the express lunch menu. When we got them, the chicken parm had no parm, and the philly steak was so tough it bent the fork. Both plates came with fries which were cold. When we sent our food back, we were told the best they could do was take 4 dollars off the bill. We paid and left because it took so long. We called to speak to a manager who didnt care about our complaint, told us we were rude, and then hung up on us. We will never be returning, and advise everyone else to stay far far away from this terrible restaurant.

Terrible Brunch. After hearing a great recommendation, we stopped for brunch. The coffee was substandard - bland, lukewarm. The brunches came incredibly quickly, but were terrible. The homefries had no seasoning besides salt, and far too much of it. Eggs (scrambled and over easy) were not cooked well. Bacon was fine, but even the colour seemed off. The fruit kabob was slimy, sour and soft. The best part of the meal was the toast.<br/><br/>Worse, as we were eating, one waitress was telling another that she had taken a bottle of ketchup off a table after a customer complained it was full of mould.<br/><br/>Not enough wait staff. 1 waitress covering an entire restaurant is ridiculous.<br/><br/>We will not be back.
