It was a cold and rainy Saturday in September and we had just put my father in the ground. I was craving something that felt like home and I found it at Woodward's. Ordered the Eggs Benedict because that was dad's last meal right before he passed. It did not disappoint. Huge portion at a fantastic price. My dad would have loved this place. Just like the eggs beni my dad looked great and was cheap as hell.

Go in. Nice diner menu. All day breakfast and it was delicious! Very reasonably priced and the waitress was very nice.
Don't let the looks of the place fool you. Will definitely return!

WOW!!! We have been going to Woodward Restaurant for many years! The breakfast have always been the best in the city. Last Sunday they advertised Fish & Chips for Good Friday. We ordered it and my Lord!!! Best Fish & Chips EVER!!!! Thank you guys!!! Keven & Wendy

Food is great but some of the servers are very rude and unfriendly! My friend had her 6 month old baby in there with her, and as you know, babies make noises and one of the servers came over and asked her to keep her child quiet or she will have to leave, because apparently other people were complaining. So now you can't have babies in restaurants with you? And on top of it, it is MOTHERS day weekend! I will not be coming back here!

Went for the first time as well after seeing the awesome reviews. And damn. It lived up to it. The service was excellent, quick, polite and friendly. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. Best corned beef I've had in a while, and came out In a very reasonable time. We will definitely return. I think this may be our new breakfast spot!

Great spot for breakfast! Nice low key breakfast diner vibe, with friendly staff and a large menu. Exactly what we wanted for an easy breakfast family get together.

Been here a few times in the past 2 yrs, food tastes good at an affordable price. Service is ok, place is really outdated though and never seems to change. There is also no free wifi and also some items on the menu are extremely salty like for example the poutine.

Yesterday my other half and I enjoyed breakfast here. They have created a very relaxing yet homey atmosphere by putting up curtains between each of the booths. The food was home cooked and definitely tasty and worth the money. I just wish their orange juice was freshness squeezed instead of being served in a bootle.

Popped over for breakfast with friends a few weeks ago.<br/><br/>The good: the meal was ok, but nothing to rave about. Had better, but have had worse. Staff was reasonably friendly. Found the pricing slightly higher than normal, but still acceptable.<br/><br/>The bad: they do not take credit cards. Cash only. That raised the price to "expensive for what you get". They had some weird ATM in the corner, so you could get cash.<br/><br/>Not in a hurry to return.

Great breakfast. I'd have to disagree with Marco's review. Also as a regular customer, I'm enjoying the new management . Food is better and more plentiful. Sorry you had a bad experience . Servers are the same ones that have been providing fantastic service for years.

Awful customer service with new owners. April 15th 2015. <br/>Went for breakfast this morning bacon was burnt. Not a big deal. Another customer, a regular customer also wasn't happy with his meal did not eat it was going to pay for it and the waitress told him just pay for the coffee that's what he did and even left a tip. After the customer left the waitress brought his food back to the cooks an told them he wasn't pleased with it. The cooks ten starting getting upset saying that try will not serve him again just give him a coffee next time and sent him on his way. With a whole lot of F-bombs in the middle while other customers were eating I heard everything that was said and will never go back if they can talk about customers like that who just weren't pleased with they're food just imagine what they could do to your food if you say something isn't cooked right or something. I have been going there for over 6 years and as of today I will never return or recommend that place to anyone.

Took my wife there yesterday for her first time for some breakfast. She absolutely loved it!!! We loved the service and the homey good old classic breakfast. Can't beat the prices either. The Woodward is the top of our list for places for breakfast now!!

Dining Out !!. Woodward Restaurant Is the best place in the City of Hamilton, No it's not the Fanciest place around, but it is the best Truck Stop that I ever ate at, Great Service, Excellent Breakfast, Nice Size Portion's, Very Friendly Staff. Just have to say to Josie from T.O., out of every review you have done on here, there is not 1 that I found that you didn't have a Complaint about, So My Suggestion to you my Dear is to stay in T.O. and eat your own cooking, really are you a Critic, nope didn't think so.... To Woodward Diner, Keep up the Excellent Service you give to us Local's ........

Best Breakfast in the Hammer. This isn't a fancy place ... just an honest-to-goodness diner where the food is basic but of good quality, not greasy at all, not overly salted ... just fresh and tasty. The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is good.

Breakfast specials are SPECIAL. If you want food that is NOT greasy, not burnt and not heavily salted during prep, then the WOODWARD Restaurant is the place to get a great breakfast or lunch! Every item cooked to perfection. Probably the FLUFFIEST pancakes you will every taste. Their breakfast special with pancakes is my favourite ! But to be honest, it is HUGE - I have to be very hungry to finish it!<br/><br/>You can see my friend Judy and I there every Wednesday about 11:30 AM as we fuel up for a our Girl's Day together!

Took too long. We waited 50 minutes for our food, way too long for what we ordered:; the Clubhouse and Fries and 2 breakfast specials.<br/>The waitress didn't ask if we needed anything else during the entire visit.<br/>We will not go back, first impressions are important and this experience was not a good one.

AMAZING FOOD!. I prefer homemade food so I am very selective when I do eat out. There is something to be said about 'family run' businesses. Reminds me of a 'Cheers' kind of place where you feel welcomed. Woodward Restaurant= food is freshly prepared, friendly & fast service by staff, prices are fair (if not cheaper than other places), great atmosphere in our local community. The place is very clean which also speaks volumes to me. The chef is awesome and I really like the taller older man who makes it a priority to ensure that he says hi to all the customers and that everyone is happy with everything. Wow! That's special in today's crazy paced world! Thanks Woodward!

Great place to eat. I've found the saying that truckers know the best places to eat to be the truth. This little truck stop across from Lowe's has great food at reasonable prices. Hours are limited, and there is a steady stream of regulars eating here. Service is friendly and quick, with an unpretentious yet tasty menu. Will defnitely be going back.
