Review Wimpy's Diner - Hamilton

We went to Wimpy's on 4/24/2022 and our server (Suzanne I believe), was amazing right from the start. We shared some laughs and she was patient with us when we hadn't looked at the menu right away. I had eggs, over easy, bacon (asked for crispy), homefries and toast. The bacon did not come out crispy at all and was chewy but other than that, the food was good breakfast diner food. Our other order was sunny side up eggs with sausages and brown toast. They brought out rye bread which the cook seemed very annoyed and gave me a death stare because we sent it back. The eggs were way over cooked and the yolks were hard. Coffee is good and hot. Will be going here again just for the service alone. Both servers that we had communicated with were fantastic and made the meal enjoyable and made the cooks lack of skills passable.

Omg my mouth just waters for this huge breakfast!!! If you have not eaten yet this is the place to go, it fills you up to satisfaction!!! And if u can’t finish it you can bring it home every one!

Brittany was lovely! very sweet, friendly, and efficient. our food came out just like we ordered and she continued to check on us throughout the visit. Thanks brittany!

Very good service, the food tasted delicious. I love the eating at diners it has a great atmosphere.

Ordered the French toast with strawberries. Had to get a separate plate later on as too much strawberry syrup. Went for lunch and fast service as not busy.

Was here last thursday for breakfast, staff was friendly, food was quick to come out and perfectly cooked! Would definitely return.

I've been here a few times so far. Mostly to try different items on their menu, seeing if you will enjoy other stuff besides their main reasons to go, aka breakfast and burgers. But I've kinda been disappointed. As an example Their chicken parm was pretty bland. The sauce used for it is.. ok. And the noodles were way too chewy for me. The staff are polite and seem a bit overworked. This one lady was the only server on and the place was kinda packed. We never got her back at our table for a solid 30 after our meal was finished. I had to flag her down twice. It was NOT her fault, just the lack of staff to help her. But the wife enjoyed her burger from here so that's a positive.

It’s rare I get to write a 5/5 review on quality, service, and food. In these times of lockdown I feel the need to especially acknowledge your team because lately at most places we do pickup orders, either the order gets messed up or missing condiments etc. Its far to common where quality and service is suffering in takeout dining. In any case, back to my Wimpy’s experience. Firstly, the young man who works there, excellent service and he knows how to treat customers. I told him what I wanted in my omelette and sides and he somehow made it work for me rather than charging me for multiple dishes. Curbside service upon arrival was also top notch. Moving onto the food, wow. My compliments to cook this morning! We not only loved the food, it wasn’t greasy, the flavours, everything, it was seriously the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. As always the food was plentiful. The one detail that I also admired, and I have to tell you - is that your takeout boxes, the large square sized ones were perfection us! Our house is getting renovated so these small things of takeout containers and packaging makes a big difference when we don’t have access to our home supplies, and so the large square containers you use mad it comfortable for us to eat our meal and store the leftover. Thanks for making our Sunday morning sunny though it’s been cloudy today!
