I went here with my dining group.
Atmosphere- Do not judge a book by it's cover. This place is on Cannon St E near Victoria. You have to enter it from a door to the left of the building near the parking lot. the main entrance is closed off. Inside it is no great shakes. Tables and chairs and it lacks ambiance.
Food- Our group tried a ton of dishes: 1) Beef dumplings- Yum and i liked the dipping sauce 2) Tempura- light and crispy and I especially liked the shrimp 3) beef bolgogi- It was good but I have had better in town ( Alirang) 4) spicy chicken- My friend liked it a lot. Very spicy. 5) spicy grilled salmon- My friend loved this dish. 6) bipinbop- this was ordered with and without beef. - The person without beef said it was not a great dish ( Alirang is better as well) but the beef dish person said the beef made the difference and she liked the dish a lot. 7) ddok bokki- Very unique fish dish but really good tasting 8)tofu fried rice dish- nicely done with a fried egg on top. 9) spicy fish soup- My friend said it needed a little sweet ( he added some of my bulgoggi sauce and said that made the difference. she aso did not like that the humongous shrimp still had eyes and tentacles.. lol 10) spicy chicken- Very spicy bit my friend thought some vegetables should have been added to dish.
Service- I liked that water jugs were filled throughout the meal for all of us as well as the tea. The server was great adding up all our separate bills as well
Impression- I will be back with my daughter. i think she will enjoy it and she lives close to it.
They have THE BEST deokboki(spicy rice cake tube) ever. It makes you feel like you are in Korea. I tried their kimchi jigae the other day and I didn't love it because it was anchovy broth which I prefer just kimchi and pork broth for mine. But, this time I tried pork bone soup which was THE BEST main dish so far here. I absolutely loved it! I will order this and deokboki again in the future visiting. Don't judge this place by its appearance.
I can’t count how many times I’ve been to this local joint because it’s just THAT fantastic. Korea House is located at Canon and Victoria in downtown Hamilton. They have very limited parking and sometimes you might be boxed-in in their square lot! Street parking is available or you can park across the street at Shoppers Drugmart. You’ll find Korea House signs at the front of the store but that’s actually their kitchen. The front door is accessible through the parking lot area (around the corner from the storefront).
Best Korean Restaurant in Town. Korea House is located in a bad neighborhood, the décor is old and dated, food takes forever and service usually isn't great. However, it's the best tasting of all the Korean restaurants in Hamilton, and believe me I've tried them all, multiple times.
Amazing Korean food! I've tried many Korean restaurants in Hamilton but nothing compares to this restaurant. The wait is long for the food to be prepared but you won't be disappointed. It's consistently good.
Good Food Period. I'm a regular here and the food is really great!!! The building itself might not look much but the food is the real reason why this is a winner in my books!!!!
Amazing AUTHENTIC food (unlike one that's located by tap house... *cough cough*).
You know it's good when Koreans go there frequently to eat!
The food is great and always at least four free "appetizers" to dabble in before your meal, or eat alongside it. The menu is in both Korean and English and explains what each thing is.
The place itself is really outdated and old, not much was done to the actual eating area but you WON'T be disappointed in the food!
I recommend parking at the shoppers and walking there because the parking can be stressful. Or bussing!
The exterior may not be pretty, but the food inside was delicious. Some of the best Korea food I've ever had. The dumplings were warm and stuffed, the tofu teriyaki was large and crispy and the soup was wonderful. For $60 this is one hell of a dinner.

Best described as ugly but delicious. The restaurant may not be so pretty on the outside but the food they serve inside is delicious! We ordered steamed dumplings, deep fried tofu and soup with beef and squid. Service was quick. The food was excellent. We usually travel to Toronto for Korean but will be making the trip to Hamilton instead!
Ordered the stone bowl bibimbap and loved it. Side dishes were also fantastic. The 2 girls serving us were very friendly and efficient. Covid protocols were followed. Super happy that Hamilton has this hidden gem Korean restaurant to satisfy my cravings!! Can't wait to come back again. ^__^
Fantastic food. I ordered tang soon yuk, champong, kimchi Jigar, seafood soondubu Jigar, fried beef dumplings, and cheese ddeokbokki. Everything was cooked to perfection and oozing with deliciousness! The staff were also very friendly and kind. I would suggest calling well in advance if ordering takeout as the wait time is a bit lengthy - but it's well worth the wait! Will definitely be returning!!!!
This place is a little gem. I'm Korean and I can confidently say this is a great Korean restaurant! We always take out, the staff are friendly and the food is on point.
Undoubtedly one of my favourite restaurants in Hamilton, and definitely my favourite Korean food restaurant. This is a family owned restaurant. The food here is excellent and the service to match.
We’ve had many dishes, and they are all excellent. We are yet to enjoy the hotpot/bbq. Stay tuned.
The food was delicious! Definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in town. The place is really nice and cozy. We really enjoyed the food. Might have to wait a bit for your order if the restaurant is crowded but totally worth the wait! Will come back again!
Very good Korea food in Hamilton. Food in here is very Korean. It tastes good and I will come back again.
