Really decent oatmeal latte. But the real stars here are the pastries. Which largely run out the door within an hour or so after opening.
I managed to grab a biscuit and a cheese & jam pastry and they were the best pastries I’ve had in Canada. I’d almost say it would be worth a trip from Toronto… Guessing the quiche really would be. Just… not from the other side of the world. *cry*
Vibes: chill, light, woody, friendly.
Staff: excellent. Went above and beyond to cater to a few food intolerances. Actively thought along and came up with solutions, but also just generally very friendly.
2022.02.05 Day 5 in the city. First coffee of the day in Hamilton at SYNONYM. I like trying new places. My hot Americano was hot and nice. My SANDO breakfast was yum yum. Cute cafe for relaxing and socializing.
One of my favourite cafés in Hamilton. They have such a fun selection of wine and beer that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I ordered the coconut coffee and mushroom toast 😍
My partner and I were looking for a cute brunch restaurant and found Synonym as we were walking down James St! The menu was limited because we went on a Sunday and only the brunch menu was available, but we still enjoyed our food! The staff here are friendly and the vibes here is fun! Only thing is it was a bit humid indoors but bearable!
Great little coffee shop that also serves up some delicious food items... Oh, and alcohol, too! The sidewalk patio is great!
This is my favourite coffee shop in Hamilton they serve an iced Americano all year (which for some reason is not a norm) and their seasonal baked good are incredible! The staff are all incredible and friendly.
A very aesthetic cafe for good coffee and brunch! The brunch menu is quite small, but I did enjoy the fancy eggs - bread was super light and fluffy and the caviar added a great touch of saltiness.
