Review Buddy's Roadhouse - Hamilton

Overall, my partner and I like Buddy's. The establishment appears to be a favorite spot for locals. The food is decent and service is great My partner and I have been trying different restaurants in the neighborhood and we had to try Buddy's because it looked inviting and the parking lot indicates they always have customers. Although the interior is a little tired, the restaurant was clean and tidy. It appears to be a favorite local bar where "the guys" and families are regulars alike. We chatted up our server, Darleen, who told us she had been a server here for about 2 decades. On top of her great service, we thought Darleen was lovely and charming. We ordered the Mexican pizza, French onion soup and garlic bread. I was impressed by the quality of the pizza considering it's coming from a local bar/pub. The portion was equivalent to a large pizza from will known pizza chain, but the crust was much crispier. The soup was definitely photogenic with loads of cheese on top. The garlic bread looked unassuming, and it was better than it looked. I was a little disappointed that the beer on tap was all of the domestic brands you would expect, which I find a little uninteresting. Overall this seems like a good place to watch hockey, or enjoy live music on a Friday or Saturday evening. My partner and I are likely to return occasionally - the place and the people gave us good vibes.

This was our first time here and it was excellent! Delicious pub style food for a very reasonable price! The patio was semi private and made for a very enjoyable dinner, we will definitely be back 😍 Specials! Monday - Pizza and wings Tuesday - Wing special Friday - Fish and chips!

Our family go to! They do not have kids high chairs but they will treat your children like gold :) Bring a booster and you’re good to go. Great soups all the time and we love the pizza :)

Good historical hang out. Passed down through the family. Great service too. The buddy wings are a delight. Tasted even better the next day. Lol. Local bands do play on selected days

Buddy's has been my local pub for many years. Always enjoy my meal, really good wings! Not overly fancy or priced...its a pub with a nice patio and the staff are great.

Finally stopped in at Buddy's in Hamilton. Its been on my list for a while as they have an awesome tree covered patio and it would be a waste of a great Sunday afternoon if I did't drop by. Patio was busy, but we didn't wait long. Plenty of tables, hightops and seating for all sizes of parties. The patio is tree covered and fenced and adds to the great patio feel. The interior dining was not open, but that didn't stop patrons from the welcoming local feel of the patio. If your looking for pub and bar comfort food...this is a great place. If your looking for more complex fare, this may not fit your palate. Good sized portions and excellent taste. Staff is friendly and attentive. Covid protocols in place. I will definitely come by again with some friends!!

Lovely place! Came down after the Tiger Cats game and really enjoyed the “after the game” experience art Buddy’s. Great place to have casual beer and some wings. Food is great for the bar food and pizza is fantastic! Service is quick and efficient. Thank you

Nice patio. A little divish in terms of decor but food and service was good.

A true gem. Get the wings with "Buddy's sauce". They're truly amazing. I mean it. I've eaten a lot of wings. A lot. These might be the best.

Love the wood burning fireplace. Hubby had the perogies and enjoyed them. I had the beef dip and it was delicious. Not many places have beef dip on the menu anymore so next time I'm craving one, I know where I'll be heading! Kiddo is gluten free and not many options for that so they had a Greek salad. Dressing was homemade, which is always nice. Service was good, friendly. It's obvious most of the clientele are regulars as they were greeted by name when they came in and 3 separate tables ended up as 1 big one by the end of our meal.

Classic watering hole. The food was great, and service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is older but very charming. Would definately go back.

I have been here several times now. The food and service are very good. Nice atmosphere at this place. Buddy is a good owner who interacts with his customers.

From the outside it looks a little run down and when you head inside it's got the typical old pub vib but definitely worth the visit. Their patio is large and very private with two new TVs to catch the game. They warned us how understaffed they were so expected a long wait but to the contrary food came out quick. Everyone enjoyed their meals especially the homemade hand cut fries. Definitely recommend and will be going back to try something different.

What a wonderful hidden gem. I was absolutely impressed by the food,service and prices. Will definitely recommend this place to all.

Great place to have a beer and a burger. In the winter by the big open wood fireplace. Very cozy. In the summer, the patio is nice and open with welcoming greenery. I should also mention that in the summer, they use their own garden fresh tomatoes.

We ate on the patio for a Saturday lunch. A great little "oasis". Food, service and atmosphere were great. We hear the roasted chicken is amazing and are planning dinner out on Wednesday.

Great value, great food, BIG patio! I have still yet to try the spit roasted chicken, but it looks SO GOOD!!!!

Had a great lunch on the patio. Patio was Neat and clean, nice atmosphere ! Service was awesome, waitress was attentive and personable.

After waiting over 1.5 hours for our food we told the waitress to cancel our order and left. I don't think it was an issue because I could see that the cook hadn't even started cooking our food yet. Nope.

Food was good, service... not so good! Very reasonable prices for fairly large portions Would go back, hoping for a different waitress!

Wonderful to sit outside, great patio, good drinks...Food, I can't say anything I had there was really noteworthy..but I have only been twice..I look forward to another meal.

Years ago this place was great. Not anymore. Our waitress just would not serve us. She told us they were out of Caesar mix. The owner made them for us. We let her know 3 times we wanted to order food and when I finally went to the bar to order, she refused to take it and said she would come to our table. She didn't. She took food orders from men only and served people that came after us. Not at all friendly from the moment we sat. Very nasty and ignorant whoever was working , finally plopping horrible and disappointing food on the other side of the table and walking away without saying a word. NEVER coming back. Food was horrible along with a horrible moody server. Seriously Fire her a**. She's bad for business. Labour Day disaster

Great wings, cold beer. Try the "buddy burger" or nachos

Entertainment nights with drinks good. Cramped tho. Food all times we've been there made cheaply. Pirogies (6) were very tiny on a large plate, no onion or bacon, for $9. Nachos had two chips on top with cheese on them. When those two chips were gone there was a big pile of chips left with no cheese and a few jalapeño scattered around. Will not go back.

Friendly neighborhood bar with a rustic interior but it has a great patio for the warm weather. Staff is helpful, food is OK, the beer is cold and the people watching is fun. I would go back.

Awesome. My husband and I went there for a late lunch/early dinner type meal about a year ago. The waitress was very nice and on-the-ball... she made sure we had everything we wanted and needed in a timely manner. She came back often.<br/><br/>I ordered the chicken strips and fries with water to drink, and my husband had wings, fries, and a salad with rye and ginger ale to drink. The chicken strips were bomb diggity good, and the fries were just right. I tried his onion rings and they were perfect. The wings are too small though. <br/><br/>You will definitely not leave hungry. Larger sized portions. <br/><br/>It's a small, dark place, but not too rowdy or loud. There is also a small patio for outdoor eating. Nice little place I would go back to.
