Very nice restaurant with a family dining side and a bar side. The staff are very friendly and the food is great! I recommend having breakfast there. The prices are very reasonable and the hash browns are the best I've ever had! 10/10

Tried going there
Stood on the restaurant side for 5 minutes, no signs to go somewhere or anything for service, no people.
Went to bar side, stood near the bar for 10 minutes, employees were talking with people. Again no indication of 'seat yourself' vs wait for someone or anything of the sort.
Hole-in-the-wall restaurant that only cares about regulars I guess. Shame since the reviews looked good.

EXCELLENT service and GREAT (economical) priced, but the food was ... boring, lacked any flavor and just overall bland.
Without a doubt, you'd be hard pressed to find better service than here, not only was the lady who attended our table polite, engaging and QUICK (yea, food came incredibly fast - hot too). free cup of coffee x 2 with a combo and big portions. Just wish it had some hint of tasting good.
The sausages where spongy and oozed fat when busted open... and what the jail is this kind of side potatoes? I understand you try to stand out.. but it's just potato, leave harsh browns to be hashbrowns man. Even the fried onions couldn't salvage things.
Can't recommend until they work on the actual food (breakfast).

Went here today, food was decent and cheap but the older woman was our server. Didn't acknowledge when we asked for refills or for the bill. She was extremely rude. Never coming here again

Just moved to the neighbourhood and Ace's came highly recommended by fellow tenants.
We ordered fish and chips and the food was excellent! We have tried a few fish and chip places in Hamilton and this by far has been the best experience. Batter is light, fluffy, wit minimal grease..so good! Hats off to the cook!
Also, the service at Ace's was excellet, polite over the phone and friendly in person! (Jeanine)
We will definitely be back to try other menu items :)

Went for "wing night". Wings were delicious, had onion rings and jalapeno poppers as well as veggies and dip. Shared a pitcher of beer with the hubby as well. VERY reasonable, onion rings were perfect for sharing and not a ridiculous price as in some of the chain restaurants. Casual environment with a lot of "regulars" that makes for a great environment. We will definitely be going back! Forgot to take a photo of the food as it smelled delish so started eating right away!
