Review Stonewalls - Hamilton

Stopped in with a buddy for some drinks and service was on point. Bartender was quick to mention the daily drink/meal specials ... And that's what we went with after looking over prices. Took a bite of my buddy's burger and it was juicy and seasoned alright. I wanted to like this greek salad more than I did .. maybe it was the dressing because it surely wasn't the lack of feta and olives yumyum! We will be back to test out other things. Def keep Stonewalls in your mind as they're always having live bands, holiday events/specials and the regulars add a welcome feel/personality to the spot.

Came for dinner, stayed for the band. Food was good, as was the service. The air conditioning wasn't working (apparently someone tried to steal the copper?) so it was hot inside but having the fans going helped.

Great place to see live music. They have nice big stage and good setup. Large spacious place with high ceilings ( at times of Covid it is important, at least to me) Good food (pub food) , large portions. Huge wings and good tacos . Good prices Come visit

The beer list was disappointing. Seven craft breweries right here in Hamilton and they have nothing but big-brand swill and Heineken. Draught not even mentioned on the menu! Had to ask the waitress if they have any beer on tap. And they do: swill, Heineken, and Guinness. The wait for the food was a bit long, but otherwise the service was good. (Didn't like the waitress calling me "Hun" but I guess it's just that kind of place.) I had the Classic Burger. The moulded disc-shaped patty was thick but dry and bland, grey all the way through; came with one piece of a lettuce leaf, one decent tomato slice, two small, hard, thin rings of onion (obviously cut from the top of an onion and too close to the skin) - and didn't have the pickles the menu stated. Worst burger I've had in a long time. The fries were pretty good, and as seems to be the norm there were about twice as many as necessary. The music on the patio was low-key R&B and was OK. But then a band inside loudly played "My Little Runaway", which is bad enough on its own (especially when the backing vocals went off key), but competing with the patio tunes was obnoxious. Fortunately they only did one tune (weird). Oh well, they have plenty of free parking!

Went there before the Toronto Rock game, staff seemed overwhelmed with the expectation of a large crowd and management and or the kitchen decided to limit the menu to quick to prepare food items. Adjusted what l planned to order since we had made reservations and it was recommended that we view there menu online prior to arriving so we could place or order quickly to get our order promptly. Decided on a house soup side but they were out, to me that shows a lack of preparation. While there did not see the anticipated rush thus was disappointed that the complete menu was not available

Wow , we just had fish and chips and honey garlic wings. It was delicious . Huge piece of fish, the batter was light and crispy. Very good home made fries.....Amazing wings. The portion are very big. Will definitely go back. I highly recomend . Friendly owner and staff. Please support locals....

Went last night for dinner before the Bulldog game, we were the only people in the place. The waitress was nice but the food was awful. The Nachos were bland came with very little salsa, the chicken wings were ordered as buffalo butter the sauce was very limited on the wings and the sauce was White. They tasted way too salty and over cooked. Our friends got the burger and the patty was so over cooked it was like a hockey puck. Will not be back garbage food

We came after an event 1 hours before the band started, they were very slow on orders and bringing food and bills and we were forced to pay $15 per person cover charge for a garbage old man band that was so loud (which we weren't told about the cover until it showed in the bills). Food was terrible - veggie wrap didn't have half the things listed. Management wasn't helpful at all to resolve issues. The waitress said it was her second day and no one helped her at all. Were charged extra for fries that came with the wrap, had to ask 5x for the bill and it took 1.5 hours to get billing done. Literally my worst restaurant experience EVER.

My husband and I went last evening to see Blue Radio/Ultimate Urban. This was our third time at Stonewalls, It won't be our last. Over the years we have seen bands in various locations and this place tops them all for us. The quality of entertainment, food, and service is the best in town. Rich, you are with out a doubt the best host I have come across. Ellie, great service. I have to say that I have not come across such nice, polite and thoughtful staff, and owners ever. This is what draws in the kind of clientele that you have. I have yet to see any issues arise that disrupt any enjoyment for others. I am very pleased the Hamilton has such a great venue for people to enjoy. We will be back, and thanks again for making our evenings enjoyable.

While I completely understand that the restaurant was busy because of there being a concert I was still severely disapointed in the service and quality of food. It took well over an hour for our food to be served. We inquired with our waitress about 45 min in and she stated she was going to check in the kitchen for us and then walked the other way... ten minutes later she told us our food was just being plated and would be five minutes...ten minutes later our food came out and the cheese on my nachos was already hardened and cold. My appetizer was served with my main course. We asked for our bills immediately so we wouldn't be any later for the concert and unfortunately the waitress had to return three times to correct our bills. We purposely made a reservation an hour and a half before the concert and were still half an hour late for the concert. That we could have dealt with if the food had been at least hot ... again I completely understand that the restaurant was busy because of the concert but when half our table was served hot food and the other half was served cold food on hot plates that's inexcusable.

We went for lunch today. A great lunch it was. Attentive staff, quickly delivered to the table, hot and fresh food, very flavorful Vegan Burg and fries done just golden -- my wife had a wrap and salad that she tells me was fresh and crisp , staff checked in to make sure all was ok, not rushed out of restaurant when we finushef. Great experience -- we will be back for sure.

We had dinner and watch a music concert (Sandman and Counterwait). The food was delicious! We were very impressed with the service. Our waitress checked on us all night without interfering with us watch the concert. It was a wonderful evening and we would not hesitate to return or recommend Stonewalls.

Beautiful afternoon on the patio yesterday with great service, yummy nachos and $5.00 stonewalls draft and cocktails!

Went for a bday party. It was our first time there. The staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing food from a menu that has something for everyone.The food was very good from the appetizers to the main dish. The band was AWESOME.The Motown tribute was great as that is the kind of music I love!My husband and I absolutely love Stonewalls and would return.Thank you to all the staff!

Amazing owners and staff. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Made to host live music. Lots of Parking. What more can you ask for? Incredible place. Hamilton has Soul

Prices are jacked for what you get. Seeing freedom train and the cover online started at five dollars. We all get there and the cover was raised to ten dollars. I'm sorry but for $7 a bottle of bud (before tip) and $20 for nachos and $8 for fries. This place just gouges customers. Not impressed. Boo erns

My husband and I went to a 40th birthday party it was a awesome night the best serving bar I have been in it was actually our first time there our waitress Susie she was amazing she took care of alot of us n never lost a beat very nice and polite and very friendly she is a very well awesome waitress

Our server Megan was fantastic! Food was great! Very nice place!
