Review Trocadero Restaurant - Hamilton

Eating here is like entering a time machine back to 1973. If you want to experience a part of Hamilton history, you need to get get here soon. It's only open Fridays and Saturdays. You can make reservations by Facebook message or try calling. The food is decent if unspectacular, and the service was very good. An enjoyable evening in a totally unique space.

Fantastic. How does a restaurant stay in business for 75 years? Serving great food. That's how. Upscale Italian food. Check. A quiet, personal atmosphere. Check. Attentive staff. Check. Elegant decor. Check. Private dining room for small functions. Check. Kid friendly. Check. Prices are what you expect from a quality restaurant and hours of operation are extremely limited so plan your trip and make a reservation. It's worth the effort!

Anyone who feels that this isn't a great restaurant obviously isn't a real foodie. This place is Hamilton's hidden gem. The staff and food are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I live around the corner and I come here as often as I can, and not one time have I had a complaint. They are always very friendly and accomodating, even with a gluten friendly menu. I read a bad review about a towel on the floor and how they watched the waitress walk by it several times...if that is all you can complain about then I would say you had a lovely experience. No one is perfect, and we are all human, so relax. This restaurant is my ABSOLUTE favourite and I cannot wait to go back. Keep it up Trocadero!! TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!

We had a wag jag coupon. Went with a group of 6. Great place. A bit of a throwback but the Italian food is very good. You feel like you are in a mob movie from the 50's with the decor. We had a good time there and would go again.

This is a Hamilton gem turning 75 years old and still ad great as it was when I was 10 yrs old. The atmosphere is an authentic preservation of the early days of the restaurant, the food is just like Nonna used to make it, and the service is suberb, run by the original family. This is a must visit restaurant!

My favourite authentic Italian resto. It's old school classy service and food when going out to eat was meant to be special. Please don't change the interior... it feels like a movie set. Clean, classic and reasonable prices.

A truly great meal. From start to finish everything was wonderful. The Banana Foster is a must so be sure to save room for dessert. A forgotten gem that I was glad I found again.

The Trocadero is our favourite Italian Restaurant by far. it is Family owned and you know it's Great as it's been in Hamilton 70 years ! It is now run by 3rd Generation, Granddaughter - Lois Grace Pantalone. Her late Grandmother & late Father would be so proud of her as she has preserved "The Trocadero " original decor & menu with a few modern additions to the menu. When you enter "The Trocadero. " you are taken back in time - nothing has changed and you receive a warm welcome from Lois & her dedicated staff that makes you feel so comfortable you feel like your visiting their home. The food is superb made to order my the loving hands of long time chef- " Chef Anna." One of the things I really love is I'm a real Nostalgic so it's a treat to now visit the "Troc" with my husband . I grew up in the Hamilton Stoney Creek area & it saddens me to see all the wonderful landmarks of the area disappear. I love going to " The Trocadero" as it takes me back in time when my Parents would take me there as a little girl for spaghetti & meatballs in the 1960's! If you haven't visited "the Trocadero " in many years do yourself a favour & take a trip down "Memory Lane, you will not be disappointed . Maybe you had your first date there with your now long time spouse , or had your first business lunch there when you first started working or like me went there as a child with your parents. It's great to rekindle the memories of days gone by. I just love stepping back in time & you will too! Also the Trocadero offers a separate party room for your special events. Great for a Baptism, First Communion , Intimate Wedding , Anniversary Party, Office Party & just think Christmas is just around the corner, reserve now for your Christmas parties! The Trocadero is open Friday & Saturday nights at 5:00 p.m. There is a free parking lot directly across the street. And if you can find a spot after 6:00 there is street parking in front of the Restaurant . Do yourself yourself a favour I can't think of a better place for a Great Home Cooked Italian Dinner for your Family , your Friends or a an intimate dinner for two. I guarantee you will be back time & time again. Enjoy!
