Best Neighbourhood joint in Hamilton. Everyone who enjoys living in this city ends up there at some point. I go there with my pals, or with my family (we have young kids) and we always love it !!! You will always find either Joe or Brandon there which is exactly why it is the most successful place of its kind in Hamilton.
I've visited this local place over the past 11 years. The area staple place to visit. Sort of like a independent Kelsey's with better staff, patrons and cooler deco vibes. #lovelocke
Always such great food and great service! Been there for lunch and breakfast and have been impressed both times! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for some great local food in Hamilton!
I've been a fan of West Town since moving to Hamilton. Great staff, good food, and a wonderful family-style atmosphere. Probably one of the best locations to host a small business breakfast or lunch meeting as well!! Keep up the great work!!
The most authentic Bar I've been to in a long time. Great drinks, love the vibe and food / service was fantastic. Take a trip down memory lane and smash this place for some drinks with friends one night. You won't regret it.
Always love coming to this place...good food and great staff
Great food, great staff/service on a great street. A genuine Hamilton institution. Always have a good time at the Westown.
Nothing like breakfast at Joe's. 24 years I have been going to The Westown. Love the atmosphere.
'Been there many times. Great food, great place and great people!

Great food, reasonable prices, very friendly staff.
Had a meeting with an administrator of a group.
Meeting and lunch. Very good.
yum!! love the deep fried pickles here ! also the place is quaint and has plenty of other delicious menu items. They also have special dinner and brunch days. Very worth the trip here. The location is also a hot one. Plenty of journeys to be had in the neighbourhood once you are done your meal.
I went here fot breakfast with a friend and it was good. I ordered a typical eggs and bacon with a side of toast. I wouldn't say anything stuck out as outstanding however I will return if I am in the area

Went here tonight with my dining group. This place has one side that is mainly a bar and the other side more of a restaurant. It was a Tuesday night and both sides were packed. that to me was a good sign.
Atmosphere- We were greeted by a very busy waitress that kept hopping the whole time we were there. The place is in an older building and the decor looks like it has been around longer than it really has. I remember when it opened just over 20 years ago. In all that time I had never been here.
Food- My group ordered the following dishes- Appetizer- Sweet potato roasted garlic soup- This did not sound appetizing to me but my friends who ordered it said it was really smooth and good. 1) Salmon with a lemon pepper seasoning.- It was described as very good. The vegetables and rice that accompanied it was also cooked nicely. 2) Chicken Pot Pie- It looked fabulous when it arrived However, it was a disappointment to my dining mate. The crust was too thick and not flaky at all. The chicken mixture in the bottom was lacking the gravy which usually makes this dish. 4) Chicken bruscetta pizza- This pizza was excellent. The flavour was really good if you like thin crust pizza and there was a perfect amount of toppings. 5) Baked stuffed chicken- This was a star dish. My dining friend said it was really nicely done. Although he wants to try the salmon next time because it looked so good. 6) The steak- was reported that the spices was very tasty and they cooked it exactly as ordered. ( She ordered it well done which is a shame in my books anyway) Again the vegetable- beans and corn were nicely cooked- not too soft and just the right amount of crisp. 7) I had the special Wild west burger ( excluding the hot peppers) I thought the combination of ground lamb, pork and goat was very flavourful and moist. It came with a side caesar salad that was over done with dressing and bacon- I never thought I would ever say too much bacon but this had too much.
Service- The waitress was friendly and efficient. she did not have time to chat because she was running the whole time. I think another server shoud have covered this part of the place. I am not complaining because everything did come out quickly together and was at the right temperature. She even saw when my drink was empty and brought another without being asked. People with water were not as lucky.
Impression- I will be back one day. I hear the breakfast is good here. If I do go back I would go for either the pizza or the stuffed chicken. I was lucky to see so many dishes to chose from next time.
Great Place, Great Steak !!. The West Town is a great, urban non-franchise style pub. The service is always great and the food is excellent! I have had the Jerk Chicken, 12oz steak. I also had the beer; a lot of beer! The steak was better in comparison to another pub I visited a few weeks earlier. The steak included tasty mushrooms, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Prepared well and great value.
Amazing service! The waitstaff at Westtown are amazing! So welcoming, accommodating, friendly, positive and efficient. We go there every Friday night, usually we have to wait about 10 minutes for a table but we know the food is worth it so we don't mind! Recommend anything off the specials menus as well as the regular menu. We often sit on the bar side and stick around for drinks for a few hours! Know almost all the staff by name and they know us too! Like a Hamilton version of "cheers". They do need to fix up their bathrooms though... Come on Joe!
Frequent Diner. I have just finished reading the reviews on The West Town. I have never had bad service there in all the years I've gone and it has been at least 15 so those experiences were out of the ordinary. Most of the servers have been there for years and as a result, take their jobs seriously. The food is ordinary, not exceptional, and the menu has been the same for at least a decade, it could do with updating. But the place is so busy, I'm guessing the owner doesn't see the need to make any changes.
Went here for dinner and was impressed by everything. Have read previous reviews and they must have been off nights or busy busy times because we were served promptly and the food was just what I needed. If you want fine dining go elsewhere on Locke, there's lots of places. If you want a pint and a bar atmosphere with a very good selection of bar food you have come to this right place. I will be back.
Was going to go to the locke street bakery, but ended up at the west town grill for breakfast. I ordered the triple decker grilled cheese with tomato, bacon and homefries. Wife ordered a CLTC sandwich (cheese, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber) with homefries. Service and atmosphere is excellent, Coffee is great..food was great. my only sugestion would be a dusting on the trim and pictures and maybe a quick paint.. I will be back..
I live right around the corner, and we go here all the time! They have great food, and since I'm a vegetarian, I like to order their nachos! Great food for a great price, and live bands to!
