Review Tatemono Sushi Bar & Restaurant - Hamilton

This location of Tatemono is exceptional. I personally love the all-you-can-eat buffet. The food is delicious. Fresh ingredients and amazing textures. You get to make your order on a tablet that is about 7", this is on going if you requested the buffet. You also can call your server by taping a button on the screen. It has a quiet and elegant atmosphere even if there are many customers. The service is friendly and quick. I have ordered many items from the menu, and am pleased every time. Even my little girls enjoy coming here. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant if you like sushi. I uploaded some pictures of a few of the dishes that I received on my latest visit to give you an idea of the beautiful presentation that they provide.

Great experience on Christmas Eve. Staff very friendly, and amazingly awesome quality of seafood. Great place for non-sushi lover as well, their hot foods, noodle dishes are also very high quality and delicious. Will go back for sure!

Price Point is very high great food selections. You actually have to pay for your green tea unlike other sushi places that serve it on the house, all in all the place is very nice staff is attentive and polite

Really enjoyed the lunch they offered here. You can certainly do the all you can eat option but the menu has other choices to consider. The location offers validating parking if you choose to park behind off of Catherine St and King William Street. I recommend this location for sushi.

Great service but rolls were so full of rice. I took a pic of the veggie roll. The menu photo vs what I received. The restaurant looked Cleen. It was ok to try but I don't think I would ever return.

I’ve visited this place many times last year and when I returned, the staff and servers were still friendly but some of the food was bland and not fresh. The portions were disappointingly small but fortunately this is an all-you-can-eat so you can order as much as you wanted. The tea, for which we paid separately per cup, was served cold and the scallops were obviously pre-frozen. I asked for many other drinks afterwards to which they said they didn’t have. If you’re looking for an authentic, or just even a good Japanese restaurant to go to, there are plenty other better ones to dine at.

Today the restaurant is very busy, the food is a bit delay, however, the service were great. Keeping my drinks full continually. Apologized each time the food is late. Really enjoyed my time with my friends in this relaxing environment. It was so worth it to wait for the delicious food.

I invited my friends to this place last weekend and I has the worst experience ever! The service was extremely slow, we received one of our ordered rolls (6 pcs!!!) after 20 minuets and the second one arrived after half an hour. When we called the staff the girl just said we have a big table on the other side and that is why it takes long time! After waiting for another 20 minuets I asked her about our order and she said “what was your order?” impolitely and we had to repeat our orders one by one! The photo shows what we received after reordering! Generally it was our worst experience there, I will never suggest this place to anyone.

I honestly love sushi and this place is so beautiful and neat! & got awesome Staff!❤️ Tatemono makes the best sushi rolls!✌️Not soo packed with rice and perfect size! Went to eat with my boyfriend and forgot to get soo many other things which makes me want to come back to try some more new things! :D Awesome place even for those who don't enjoy sushi there's Pad Thai & Lo Mein♥️ I love this place and this will definitely be my new sushi spot! This is by far the BEST sushi restaurant in all Hamilton and area; the service and staff is excellent, never a let down or a bad experience. The food is very good; you can notice its very fresh and made with dedication. We love especially the ocean maki roll and the grilled mussels. They have a very wide menu with everything from udon and tepanyaki items such as black pepper steak, grilled shrimps and more, to sushi and rolls of all kinds, including even Thai food! Their tablet order system is very convenient and easy to use. This restaurant is perfectly comparable to other restaurants in the area who are much more expensive and don't even have the same level of service. More people should check this place out, they would be surprised! Very cool atmosphere too, an absolute ten to me.

My boyfriend and I usually come here for our date nights a few times a month. It is my favourite place for sushi from all of the other sushi options in Hamilton. But lately, the service and the food quality have gone way down hill. I took my sister here for lunch, since she just began trying sushi for herself. I couldn't believe how slow the food was coming out, the lack of service from your serving staff and the shit quality of food that was served to us. Ordered a mango salad, I was served brown lettuce that was hidden under the mango slices and sauce. Spring rolls looked and tasted like it was cooked in dirty oil. Topping of the cake was I ordered "chicken teriyaki roll" and my sister took one bite and started to choke on it. She spit it out and said that something in it was not right and I called over the server, explained what happened and not an apology or an attempted to make it better. But "ok" and she took it away, I watched her walk by the employee that made it and not let him know what happened. Then she disappeared, she didnt give us the bill. I had to wait and ask the other server for it. Then wait some more, I finally walked over to the cash register only to stand infront of it and wait for the male server to give me the bill then stand there and wait for me to tip him. So, I will not be returning for awhile here. Your food quality has changed. Ive noticed in the past few times I had a-y-c-e dinner here. Your servers need to step up. Be more attentive and actually be able to perform their jobs well.

i ordered take out. When it arrived all of the hot food was luke warm at best. I mentioned that I wanted a spicy chicken dinner and it was bland and tasteless. The sushi rolls were all separated and dried out...they did not seem fresh. It was not cheap...and the portions were tiny as well. I will not order from there again.

Tonight was our first time at Tatemono. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with our dinner. Every single employee was so awesome and friendly, and the food was just phenomenal! Easily the best sushi I have ever had - the Salmon Tempura Roll was to die for and my boyfriend said it was the best Golden California roll he's ever had. This is our go to sushi spot from now on!

This was not my first visit, but my first review. I went with a couple girlfriends, for lunch and the staff was extremely courteous. Our food was brought quickly with outstanding presentation. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend getting a scoop of ginger and a scoop of red bean ice cream! Also, the price is excellent. Fond memories were made and more to come in the future :)

My favorite place to go! Whitby restaurant has great friendly staff. The food come very quickly it is very fresh . I have eaten here many times and not once have I been disappointed. 2 thumbs up

I've been coming here for almost 3 years now and it's a great experience every time. Never had a problem with service or food quality. Everything is always amazing. Over the 3 years I've only had a handful of experiences with not receiving an item, but every time it has been resolved quickly. Staff is always friendly. AYCE is well worth it. We go here for Christmas Eve every year too and it's wonderful. Recommend 100%

Great restaurant. Comfortable seating and nice decor. They offer a wide range of choices from Japanese and Asian cuisine. The food is tasty and well presented. The staff are always friendly and engaging, specially the owner JoJo. She always makes a point of saying hello to us and making us feel welcome, which we really enjoy and appreciate.

Just ordered take out from the restaurant and I am pleasantly surprised! I only ordered an order or sushi and tempura and received an entire extra container or a variety of items that I did not order. Accident or not.. I'm extremely impressed. Definitely will be back.

The customer service here is garbage. Haven't been since January because of this and nothing has changed. Food is okay. But the price is NOT worth it. All of the servers ignore you and pretend like you're invisible. And you have to ask for everything multiple times. Terrible.
