Review Pokeh - Hamilton

The new location with extra staffing is much faster. The service is friendly, great recommendations and the food is one of the best in Hamilton. Ingredients are fresh, sauces are delicious, and it's the only place to get pokeh in the area. Only downside, very little space to eat. Worth.

Very good food here. Not really a cheap eat but the ingredients are very fresh and tasty. You can choose from their signature creations or build your own bow and choose your own ingredients. Portions are fair and food is very fresh. I usually take it to go.

Could be better - serving was small for the regular $10 bowl, large $13 bowl not that much larger and indistinguishable relative to the 'regular' through the naked eye. Friendly service and tasty sure but value ain't found here. Good thing the market had other goodies to fill me up.

Omg absolutely amazing. Totally unexpected how amazing the food here was. And the taste was delicious. Pretty much all the optional ingredients go well together. Their sesame and soy sauce sauce was surprisingly rich and creamy. The large size isnt hugggge but it's a decent meal to pass you over till dinner. Definetly recommend going.

Incredibly delicious !! Ingredients and preparation reminds me of my trip to Hawaii! Ingredients are fresh which is the most important aspect to good poke! Also they have crazy good Fanta flavours that I've never seen including Peach Berry and apple to name a few! Well done Hamilton!!

Wow! I cannot believe this is the first time I’ve been to and found Pokeh. Thanks to Novemburger and my love for sushi my friend and I went. We had the burger feature ( Kimchi Tuna Mac: Poke in burger form! Oceanwise certified ahi tuna mixed with a sriracha mac kewpie mayo, onions, sesame seeds, on a rice bun crusted with flaming hot cheetos. Topped with kimchi, avocado, cucumber. ) that they’ve created and it was absolutely delicious! I cannot wait to come back here and try the bowls they offer. I think the burger is definitely an great addition to add to their menu as I could eat that again and again! I also had their Spam Musubi and that was such a nice quick appetizer. I could eat 20 of them easily! I also almost had two of their burgers too. l’ll be back with more friends and family!

Decided to write a review to help out Hamilton community. This is my second time visiting the place. I've seen Poke places in Vancouver but I never tried it (because I am not really a salad person). Somebody told me it's like salad bowl with fresh fish. That's why I never had the interest. Then one day my friend wants Sushi and suggests that we go to Pokeh in Farmer's Market. He said it's like "Sushi in a Bowl". I wasn't too thrilled but I tried. Oh my! It is delicious!!!!! Then I went to Pokeh again with a friend who really likes Sushi two weeks ago. He said he tried Poke before in Toronto but he wasn't that thrilled because he had to assemble all the ingredients himself. Well, not this place!! He totally loves it too. I ordered Large size and I think it's $14 now. For the amount of fish you get, it is not a bad price at all. I dare say if you order the same amount of rice and fish from a typical Japanese restaurant, you would be paying over $20 easily. Tuna tastes very fresh. I ordered the one with Kimchi and spicy mayo. It's no longer on the menu but the owner knew what I was talking about and made it for me. soooo yummy! If you like Sushi kind of food, I HIGHLY recommend this place. They ran out of White Rice so i got Brown Rice which tastes equally as good. I am Chinese and I don't mind it at all. I bet most Chinese people don't know what Pokeh is. If they knew, they would line up there!

This is my first time trying Pokeh but let me tell what an exceptional experience it was! If you enjoy sashimi and sushi you will love this. The staff were incredibly friendly asking us how our food was, and the owner was so kind. The owner even sat down and talked with us which made the whole experience even cooler. The food was made in a timely manner but let me tell you the actual Pokeh dish stole the spotlight. The quality of fish used and ingredients elevated the tastes to such a new height for me. I had the spicy tuna Pokeh and I highly recommend that dish! Pokeh is better than okay ;)
