Today was my very first visit at this restaurant. I have heard that their hamburgers are delicious and also give recommendations for their liver and onions; fish and chips; and chicken asiago sandwich. It usually takes me a very long time to decide what I want to eat, but right when I walked in there was a special menu that I just couldn't resist. Sandra was a phenomenal server. She knew exactly when to come back to check on us and constantly made sure that our drinks were topped up. I have recommended this restaurant to my father as he has monthly get togethers with his retired friends. I certainly will be back to try all the items I did not this time.

We have a monthly Alumni lunch for 30-40 people, when Covid protocols permit. Its always GREAT service & food. The manager Trent sets us up in the side room with our own server. My thanks to Trent & his staff for making our lunches so enjoyable.

Update: I absolutely love the new patio! It’s the bomb!! What a great addition to a favourite restaurant of ours. The server Renee was awesome! Can’t go wrong with that type of service.
We went for supper on Friday night. From the outside you would never know how loud it actually was inside. It was very busy but we were sat right away and the server greeted us quickly. The buffalo butter wings tasted like barbecue sauce with a bit of butter. They didn’t taste like buffalo butter flavour at all. It was way too sweet. I had a nice glass of wine and the dessert was as good as the other ye olde squires I’ve been to. It’s their signature beer mug brownie sundae. I could never eat the whole thing but my son was more than willing to eat his and the majority of mine. I would return but get a different flavour of wings as they do make good wings.

We recently held a retirement celebration for our boss at Ye Olde Squire on Fennell.
We used the private room which comfortably accommodated our group of 80+. Trent was great helping plan the event, he was very flexible, offering us lots of options and sourcing items that aren’t typically on the menu. He was available for communication and greeted us warmly on arrival.
Our servers, Cass and Patti, were attentive throughout the evening, properly balancing great service without being in the way. The food, (we had slider burgers, pizzas, nachos and beverages) were fresh and delicious! We even had lots of food to take home!

We went this past Saturday to a private party , the party boy hired Freedom Train. BRILLANT.. If you haven't seen this band live your missing a great performance. Our waitresses were awesome we never had a empty glass. Unfortunately l didn't take any pics we were to busy having fun.. 4 years ago l had my boyfriends private party there, the space is perfect and private.

absolutely disgusting both the quality of the food and the manager. Ordered through Uber eats, but called to let them know about the order we received and the managers excuse was “new staff”. Told me to take it up with Uber eats and didn’t even want to listen to what was wrong with the order. Great job ye olde squire! 👍🏼

I recently attended a banquet for ACI which was held at Ye Olde Squire on Fennel Ave. I was not aware that they had a separate facility to host such an event. There were a hundred plus people there - the space was perfect. The meal that was provided by Squires was delicious; the timing of the meal, the quality and the service far exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The service provided by the staff was second to none.
I highly recommend anyone planning an event to consider this location. You will not be disappointed.

Christin and the other server on when we arrived about 5pm were great and friendly. I asked Christin what she would recommended between the meatloaf and the Shepherd's pie and she indicated that it was a tough decision for her before suggesting to try the meatloaf. I did and I was very happy with the meal. My wife got the Glasgow burger with poutine and she loved it. The meals were good sized portions and well prepared. We asked if we could see the banquet room and told we could. Cristin came in a few moments later and answered any questions we had and gave info on booking and deposit. Will definitely be going back at some point.

Haven't been here in a while, so I thought stop in for a few wobbleypops with my best friend who's visiting from New Brunswick. Our waitress was gem and the food and service were fantastic! We ended up ordering the loaded nachos - I think the best I've ever had. Throw in the ambiance and I'd say it's one of the nicer places to go in Hamilton ~

The place looks freshly renovated. Patio has a few comfortable loveseats. Their french onion soup is indeed a great signature. If they don't have locations in the GTA they should consider opening some. This would be a great competition to some of the famous Toronto pubs.

It’s ok. Not great. Just ok. Good I buy at a restaurant should be better. Just had the London double decker. Bread was thin and dry, so was the turkey. Service was quick, but would rather they spent more time

Could start serving lunch at lunch hour. Came here for lunch with my son at 1230pm (after noon) and couldn't order from the lunch menu. Ended up getting our very hungry little man pancakes, finished our drinks and left empty bellied. Definitely wont ne back.

My family & I love this restaurant. We try to go at least once a week. The food is amazing and we have never once had a bad experience! All the wait staff are amazing especially Rachel who our daughter runs to for hugs and cuddles lol
