I ordered Jerk Chicken and the Goat Curry at 4;30 and was told it was a 30 minute wait. It turned out to be a 55 minute wait but well worth it. The curried goat and jerk chicken was hands down the best i have had outside of Jamaica. Sandra has a magic recipe for both and i will become a regular customer and bring a book with me next time and be happy to wait for her incredible food.
A great little place, don't be put off by the rough exterior, the interior is bright and clean. I had the goat curry on rice and beans, it was a little heavy on the salt, but it was also the best I've ever had. They have a large selection of Caribbean fruit drinks. You will not walk away the from this place hungry.
We checked out this place last Saturday and man, it was really good! Everything we heard about it was true. We were there past closing time but they were in no rush and let us take our time. The food was awesome and the potion sizes were huge but most importantly, the food was delish! Nice friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Plan to go their again soon!
I was looking for somewhere to get takeout and after reading the reviews here, I decided to try it. I got the chicken Roti and was amazed at the size and how delicious it was. I've been thinking about it all week, I'm going to get one for dinner!
Best Roti in Hamilton by Far. Huge servings, made well. Never eaten in, only take out, but man, this is the only place i come for Roti's anymore!
Edit: Went last night and ordered a large chicken Roti for $10. It fed my family of Three. This place is the best, but you have to order ahead of time.
Great jerk chicken but you have to try the roti. Both the curry goat and curry chickpeas with potatoes are solid bets. Some of the most flavourful Caribbean food around!
Prepare for a bit of a wait...also the hot sauce is fantastic.
Update: July 2016 - finally tried the stewed oxtail. Also fantastic. Meaty chunks of oxtail cooked perfectly with just enough of the fat rendered out for the meat to fall apart easily while still yielding a slight chew.
This place has got the best jerk chicken in town! Not to mention very generous serving sizes. One meal was two for me. The woman who runs the place is very welcoming, friendly and hard-working. It's a bit of a wait for food if you go in and order but I usually call ahead for pickup. It's always busy but for good reason- GREAT food, GREAT service, GREAT atmosphere. If you feel like Caribbean, definitely go here. There are other yummy Caribbean spots in Hamilton but none are very welcoming or friendly in comparison. You won't be disappointed !
Great chicken curry roti! The owner is friendly and polite. Call ahead to pick up your order, or you may be waiting 25 minutes or longer for your order to be made fresh on the spot!
The best roti spot in Hamilton. I was missing out until a friend brought me there. I've tried the oxtail but I always order the curry chicken roti or the dinner.
Tried for first time based on Uspoon recommendations - loved it! Really nice owner/operators - she makes lovely food/drink recommendations. Tried the jerk chicken w/rice - not your typical resort spiced. Very flavorful & just the right amount of heat! Will be back!
Unbelievable food. I love this little place so much.
My favorite take out place in the City. Everything Sandra makes is gold. The jerk chicken is always cooked perfectly. The meat just dissolves when you touch it. Perfectly seasoned. The food is spicy but never overly hot. Everything blends together very well.
My favorite dish is probably the oxtail. Always soft, and never chewy.
Every once in a while I get a craving for her stewed chicken. It's on the sweet side, served with some cabbage over rice. Amazing.
I've had other Caribbean food and none come even close. Sandra's a sweetheart too.

The Real Deal. We recently moved to Hamilton. We love Caribbean cuisine. Have tried many places in the GTA. Most spots have been good or enjoyable to be fair. However last night we were fortunate enough to try Caribbean and Canadian cuisine. We had two orders of jerk chicken with rice and beans. As well one order of curried chicken on rice. I'm not even sure where to start. I'll try my best.
We actually went on Thursday evening and unfortunately they had just sold the last of the jerk chicken. Since I have been craving it for months now we decided to wait until Friday. We were informed that it may be busy due to it being Friday. No biggie we are patient.
I returned Friday. Luckily not too busy. Was greeted as soon as I walked in. I ordered 2 jerk chicken and one curried chicken on rice. The young woman was different than the lady on Thursday but knew exactly who I was. Wow. That was awesome. She was so friendly. Order was ready in less than 15 minutes. Excellent service!
Returned home and prepared our plates. Oblivious to how good the food would be. The flavour and spice in the jerk chicken was right to the bone. I can honestly say the best I have ever had. The rice was fantastic. Swollen with flavour. Not a dull grain in the batch. The curried chicken also was amazing. So full of flavour and not a dry piece to be found. Simply amazing.
The portions were excellent. Probably didn't need the extra jerk meal but now I have delicious leftovers.
I recommend anyone looking for authentic jerk or Currie please try this out. You will not be disappointed.

The best Caribbean/West Indian place in Hamilton!. I came here with my father and we had oxtail and jerk chicken which was delicious this place even reminded us of the cooking from back home in Palestine. The owners are humble and generous this is what made the place amazing!

Great Place. I have had the take out many times over the years, very very good!!
I can see why everyone is raving about this restaurant. Went there for the first time yesterday and ordered stewed chicken with rice, chicken roti and shrimp roti. The portions were so big we can get two full meals out of them!! Tasted just like the what my mom made when I was at home... We would definitely go there again. And let me say, the pepper sauce served on the side is a real scorcher!!
BEST FOOD!!!!!. My dad and I come here all the time! The food is sooooo good and you can't beat the price. My personal favorite is the chicken roti -- AMAZING! The owner makes the best curry I've ever had. We've spread the word and now others are hooked too! Best place in Hamilton to grab food.
SO SO DELICIOUS!. BEST CARIBBEAN FOOD IN THE CITY!!! I love Caribbean food and eat a lot of it in the GTA as well as Hamilton. I pretty much crave their rotis EVER SINGLE DAY...it's SOOOO GOOD!!!! The roti skin is very tasty and the filling is perfect....but BEST of all the homemade hot sauce amazing *DROOLS*. On top of it all, the owner lady is very kind and generous with her portions and extra hot sauce. LOVE IT!
Just like Home!. I can't say enough how wonderful the food is here. This is definitely the best place in Hamilton to get excellent Caribbean food, maybe even the GTA!!
The owner, Sandra, is very helpful and accommodating. The Chicken Curry and Roti here is JUST LIKE MOM MADE IT! So rather than making it myself , and smelling it in the house for days afterwards, I call Sandra up and order it!!
No one can tell the difference! It's SOOOOO GOOOD. Also, for those that are not a fan of the chick pea Roti (Dhal Poori), if you call 24hrs ahead, you can order plain Roti!
I am a very picky eater, and I cannot recommend Sandra and this establishment enough.
SERIOUSLY, if you're looking for GREAT CARIBBEAN FOOD...LOOK NO FURTHER!
