Very cozy place to have coffee and waffles. There are various menu options available 😋 to get a taste of classic Canadian coffee ☕ taste which is much better than regular Tim Hortons. The food they prepare for customers is a lot warmth love and respect. It gives me a feeling of eating at small barns and farmhouses to enjoy the crop fields and take a tour at our classic countryside of Canadian soil. I really recommend this place if you're on your way to Niagara Falls.

Great independent/local cafe in Hamilton, on Canon and Ottawa street.
Cafe was not allowing people to dine in due to recent COVID restrictions, however the inside of the store was still nice. Lots of natural lighting and wood floors, easy to imagine it would be a great place to enjoy a coffee.
Service was great, and very friendly. I ordered their Cortado which was well made as well! Excited to go back and try their coffee, and their baked goods.
Everything was also reasonably priced as well, very similar to what you'd expect at a Stat Bucks, but considerably better.

Staff were great and the food (bacon waffle) was very good! I appreciated the inclusion of real maple syrup too. Cute place.
What my friend and I didn't love was, after being comfortably seated and de-masked, having to get up/mask-up again to place our order at the counter rather than having a server come to us, and then doing that a second time to visit the cream & sugar shelf in order to fix our coffee when it came.
I suggest waiting on the few tables there (only five I think??), and including sugar & cream on the tables. That would be SO easy, and IMHO would make a meaningful difference to the experience here, especially to senior citizens.

The food is delicious. Love the breakfast sandwich. Great coffee and lattes too!! Wonderful atmosphere. Always have good music playing. Also love that The Cannon is on Ottawa street because there are lots of cute shops near by. This place is definitely a fave!!

Popped by on a Wednesday morning to grab a coffee. Was happy that despite having no seating indoors right now (due to COVID, I assume) there were delicious food options. I had the ‘merican waffle breakfast sandwich which was absolutely delicious and a couple sips of a flat white (which I sadly dropped when getting into my car). Two scones to go for later, which were perfectly seasoned/ salted/ baked. Will definitely be back for more quality coffee and treats. All reasonably priced as well. Thank you!

Very delightful breakfast. Delicious coffee's and out standing waffle based food options. Still a diamond in the rough, but enjoyed the experience overall and would recommend to all.

Ordered california sandwich - advacado baccon tomato ground pepper on a waffel. They give you three sauces garlic jalapeno, sweet pear chili, and big smoke chipotle. Love the sweet pear chili on this sandwich, super good super simple, all together after taxes was like 18$... Yeah.. It's worth it.
There is also a gentleman on top of keeping tables and area clean, good hustle man. Definatley a hipster spot, but I'll still eat here lol.

The food was just terrible , I got the jalapeño breakfast sandwich and it wasn't good at all. The waffle was soggy and just covered in avocado sauce that's all you could taste the waffle didn't even taste little bit spicy at all and the bacon on the sandwich was 95% fat and 5% meat and then when I couldn't even bare to eat it and asked for a to go container they gave me a paper bag to put it in like a doggy bag. One bad experience makes me not even want to try anything else there the coffee was good but cost 1$ a refill which isn't too good for coffee lovers

Excellent Gluten Friendly options..I thoroughly enjoyed a perfect brunch by choosing a California Waffle. This included a good helping of freshly prepared guacamole, 2 thick slices of local bacon, diced tomatoes and two perfectly poached eggs. Definitely a place to visit....over & over again. Atmosphere was cosy & staff very helpful & friendly. Cheers❣️

I love the Cannon, I wish I lived closer, because I would live there if I could. All the staff are wonderful, the food is delicious, and the coffee and tea selection are both broad and fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place enough. If you haven't been, you're missing out.

We were in town for the weekend and came for breakfast! Love the ambiance with the eclectic vibe. I had the bacon waffles and my husband had the 'merica as a vegan dish (no goat cheese) with the brew coffee. When I come to Hamilton I will be back!

I go to the Cannon Coffee Co with friends probably every month or so. My favourite breakfast is the Merican brunch waffle - roasted veggies, avocado, poached eggs, goat cheese and balsamic drizzle. OH MY, I enjoy this every. single. time. I also drop by for their scones when I need an afternoon or morning bite to eat... YUM. Thanks for being such a great place to connect with friends, eat great food and drink yummy coffee. The bonus is that you are only a 10 minute walk from my door step!

This is a very lovely little shop. The Gentleman behind the counter recommended the cappuccino and goat cheese and dill scone and they were delicious! I'll definitely bring a friend next time!
*Update* Went back for a Caramel Latte and the cheddar scone. I love this place!! Always great service. Love! that you can buy local honey as well!

I had a vegan breakfast sandwich. Very tasty but a little over priced. The coffee was horrible; however I'm hoping it was just a bad pot because I would like to go back again because it has a nice atmosphere �

We go for breakfast at least twice a month. Food is amazing. I can't go anywhere else without comparing it to cannon. Be mindful you may have to wait for a table but it's worth it and understandable (it's just SO good). Love the loose leaf teas. Not much of a coffee connoisseur, so I can't say much about that. But I've never been disappointed with this place.
