Review Brux House - Hamilton

I have yet to be disappointed by a visit in Brux House. Elevated but not snobby or uptight, you can choose between stylish interior and a nice summer patio. Food is great, beer selection is great, prices are well, reasonable. I love how imperial stouts are served in smaller servings, that's such a good solution if you want to enjoy the taste of 11% beer with your dinner but not necessarily get drunk 😂 and maybe the most important part- you guys have attentive, entertaining and informative servers. Simply amazing 👌. If I were to say anything- website seems to be generally not up to date, but in the end I do enjoy being surprised sometimes, so it's not really an issue. Genuinely, I can't wait to come back here 🙂

Service was phenomenal, hands down. Enjoyed burrata to start, and had the spicy short rib tagliatelle as my main. The burrata was good, but the tagliatelle was lacking in short rib, and was bland and oily. Tasted good, but didn't measure up to expectations.

One of my favourite date night spots! Love the patio for a more casual night, the indoor dining is beautiful too. Great service, very professional staff - they always give recommendations and are very thorough with their menu. I went during covid a few times and bought a few wine shop bottles - they had a pretty decent selection some cool bottles that I’ve actually wanted to try! The wines aren’t wines you can get at LCBO. Had the best chocolate cake of my life there - I know they change their menu every once in a while but if you see that on there it’s a must order 🤤

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception for about 45 people on the second floor of Brux House in May 2022. We have nothing to say but amazing things about the entire process, from start to finish. We were in touch with Steph, who handled all the details and was in constant communication through email and phone as we were planning our day from afar, guiding us through the planning process, helping us personalize our day, and answering any questions promptly. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our favourites were included, from the beer options to the cheese! She was detail oriented, organized, and really enthusiastic about the whole evening, which made it super fun to plan! On the day of, we had an amazing smaller family dinner before the reception. Steph and the staff worked their magic and set up the space with our flowers and decorations items. The drinks and food were exceptional - we particularly all enjoyed and pear and chicory salad and the trout. During the reception, the staff were extremely attentive to the guests, making sure everyone had their drinks of choice and passing out hors d’œuvres. Chef Ben really outdid himself on all the food, including the cheese board and late night pizzas. The bartender made our signature cocktails a reality and they were amazing. The staff were also accommodating in letting us and our photographer (Tomophotography) take pictures around the entire restaurant, which was very appreciated. Overall, we wish we could give Brux House a rating higher than 5/5. We would not hesitate to host our future events and Brux House and can’t wait to celebrate our anniversaries there!

Amazing food and service. We worked at Hamilton this time and stop by have a nice dinner. Very special cook and the food are delicious.

Very nice spot for dinner. Service was great and the food was delish! Not many vegan options, but what they did have was more than decent! My boyfriend said the burger was some of the best he’d ever had!!

Well curated craft beer selection on tap and even more bottles/cans. Food is always first-class—awesome fries. Service is friendly and swift.

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Hamilton! It's a great spot for date night out an intimate meal with friends and family. Service and food are always both amazing. They also have a lot of craft beer.

Great atmosphere with food and beer being tops. From the front reception to the waitress/ waiter or the individual serving water, the service was exceptional. Will be definitely be coming back.

Excellent food and service! A friend came in from Guelph for dinner and this was actually our second choice after another restaurant a few blocks away had a long lineup. We were glad we came here though ... the fried cheese curds on the special appetizer list were amazing (and the Belgian fries with lemon aioli and curry sauces were so generous that we left some of them, with reluctance). Duck confit and steak were delicious. We also appreciated the staff being so pleased to substitute non-alcoholic drinks. Definitely recommending this to locals and out-of-owners (my friend is not easy to impress)!

Best restaurant in Hamilton! Incredible service, delicious food, and the best curated beer and wine list in the city. Must try!

Excellent choices for drinks. Loved the atmosphere and the service was great. Food was awesome... we had the shrimp sagnaki and pretzels followed by seafood fettuccine and pork schnitzel.....all was amazing!
