Review Castello Cafe - Halifax

Jorge Campos
A no-frills Cafe a few meters from the cruise terminal. Great views of the bay and Georges island. The food is ok and fairly cheap. The counter service is good. This cafe seems to be the one servicing the office building so you get good value for the money. If you don't expect anything fancy you will like it. I came for breakfast at 9:45 on a Tuesday and the place was mostly empty. I got the omelette and I liked it, it came with a filtered coffee for 9 dollars.

What a gem! I work near this cafe and I never thought of going there until today. It's a proper old-fashioned diner cafe where everything is cooked fresh to-order and the prices are great. The burger and fries in the pic was $7.99 + GST, wow! They have a full selection of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks. And what a view of the water too (see pics).

You will not have a better club anywhere else downtown. The fact it’s $10 is a bonus. On a nice day, sit outside to watch the people of the ships.

Drive by everyday and didn't even know it was here. What a hidden little gem, the food is excellent, cheap a so much to choose from. Found my new spot, nice and quiet and fanatic view of the boardwalk!

Hidden gem for those going for a walk in the waterfront in the morning hours. Nice coffee and breakfast options with the view of George's Island. They were also able to customize my order with vegetarian options.

Tasty foods, great service, budget-friendly. Ceasar wrap is one of my favorite ❤

Unassuming, amazing little place that feeds NS Power, farmers market, NS College of Art and Design, and cruise terminal workers. Great fresh made-to-order cafeteria style food - probably best breakfast sandwich in Halifax (just add Sriracha ) - you can get it without pork (turkey). Coffee has a wide selection carafe system, including. Prices super decent and people super friendly. While there is WiFi you'll only get 1 mb/s download which is fine for email but not much more- only downside but workable. Seating area super nice with probably local art (wish it had more info next to the painting) - note entrance is best from the back by the farmer's market. Probably a new fave hangout for work brekkie.

Great spot for a quick sandwich or home cooked meal. Limited daily menu, but lots of options from the grill and some sweets and coffee to boot. Wonderful counter service. Friendly and welcoming.

Legit spot. Pub style food, all day breakfast and a tasty Lebanese style stand. Clean and casual environment. Under 10 bucks for most meals.
