Just delightful on every level. I got a savoury breakfast bialy (bagel dough with an egg, cheese, and bacon baked in) and a delicious cookie sandwich. I'm still dreaming of that delicious bagel texture! What a joy to have Tart and Soul so near my work -- I am going to be a regular! Amazing staff, delicious food, adorable atmosphere.
Since they opened, I've been planning a trip from New Brunswick to visit Tart & Soul. Finally made it last week. The cinnamon buns are out of this world - absolutely the best I have ever had. The bacon on their tasty breakfast bialy is thick-sliced, smoky, and cooked just right. Everything edible at Tart & Soul will knock your socks off, and the atmosphere is cozy and charming to boot!
I love this place. Consistently fantastic eats and a great team to boot! Whether it's in person or take home, everything is always super tasty. I ordered some goodies form the Holiday Pre Order Menu and everything we got was great! We especially loved the Gobbler Pie! Can't wait to place another order or go dine in for lunch!
The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Setting is nice to work in and grab a sandwich and a latte to fuel your needs.
Happy tummy items: soup of the day, cookies, sandwich cookies (oh my God these babies are unbelievable, bagel sammies)
Not so happy tummy items: pecan pie (too many pecans compared to the pie filling), butter tarts, cinnamon bun (not as moist as expected)
All in all worth a visit :)
Lovely little spot with delicious hot drinks and fresh pastries. I would recommend the cheddar jalapeño scone!
A student favorite, this cafe serves up delicious eats and drinks with plenty of veggie options. Prices are comparable to other local spots and service is fast and friendly. Also a great atmosphere inside with plenty of seating. Get there early on the weekend or they may be sold out of many favorites!
The best crust I've had is on the T&S butter tart. And I've had a lot of crusts in my 35 years in case there is question about my comparison set. Have tried nearly all their desserts and have always been very happy. Coffee is hot and lots. Friendly staff, all 3 I have met. Have been offered staff clothing (cafe sleeveless sweater?) for a chilly day on the patio, and given double the number of cookies I paid for. Will return and look forward to it.
This Cafe is awesome! An incredible variety of drinks, unique baked goods and lunch items, which all have some rotating offerings. Awesome atmosphere and friendly service as well. They even let you leave their loyalty card there, so you don't have to have it take up space in your wallet xD
Small shop with an assortment of drinks and pastries. Really impressed with the strawberry chocolate milk bread, and I really enjoyed the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They also seem to sell frozen ready made meals, which we didn’t buy but were interested in at another time.
Best cinnamon rolls here. Love the sandwiches. Great specials with interesting and new choices. Only wish they were open earlier.
I had a yummy lunch, the homemade tomato pepper soup and biscuit were really good! And a good size portion too for a very fair price. Also the oatcakes are super. It was quite busy around 11:30 - 12:30 or so, but that quickly calmed down and it was quiet before and after. Tart and Soul has a nice atmosphere and books for sale by donation too. All around really great, I'll definitely go back!
Terrific Cafe. Lots of space. Great energy. Amazing homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods and coffee! Love the sandwich of the week! Ooo and best giant cinnamon rolls.
