The Brown Hound Public House - Halifax - Photo album

Managed to get in for a quick brunch on a Sunday (perfect timing). The two staff working front of house were very friendly and made me feel welcome even though I was dining alone. It can be so challenging finding places for brunch as a solo patron with the breakfast/brunch crowds. So definitely ap
One of the best pubs in town. Love when the bar is packed, it's a small space so it feels like everyone is there together. Best fries in town and a lovely Guinness too!
Good spot to go for a beer with friends. Food was good as well. I liked the atmosphere and service was good. They have small patio as well
Absolutely stunning fish & chips and the crispiest wings I’ve had, the tartar sauce and their gravy as well were amazing sides for the dishes. Loved the fish so much I had to order an extra piece. The pub is friendly and a perfect place to have some fresh seafood
Very cool place inside. Quaint , clean and nice. The bartender made some excellent drinks. And when she ran out of a particular ingredient asked if she could create a new and different cocktail for us. It was even better than our already good drinks. Lots of options for beer and cocktails.
It was our first time here, and we had a good experience. The servers were super friendly and nice, and the food was super tasty! I really enjoyed the atmosphere there, so definitely will go back again soon!

Tried the lamb madras when I went here for the first time. Friendly and personable staff.. calm and dimly lit atmosphere. Prices were reasonable as well.
Lovely laid-back atmosphere, kind and relaxed service, hearty food and great beer variety.
Great British style pub with a ton of atmosphere. Very true to theme and reminiscent of a small traditional 'local' as they are known which has turned gastropub. Serving a variety of traditional British food which is authentic in that it could be found on any British pub menu and is all very tasty.
