Kee Heong Cantonese Bakery - Halifax - Photo album

I was taken to this hidden gem for the first time last year by my dear friend who was visiting from Hong Kong and had managed to discover it. Despite walking through those same streets countless more times than her I had not stumbled upon this place. It’s hidden in a small pocket in the corner engul
One of my favourite places. Food is always great and service is fast. The owners are super nice and remembered me after a long absence ..really appreciated this.A true hidden gem. The baked goods are delicious and fresh. Will always return here for a meal...
I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't want this pork and chive buns all to myself. The food is awesome, especially those buns! I was looking for those for 14 years but didn't look hard enough. Such flavour, nice and freshly made...nice price for two! So I got four. Heh! The location is sometimes a chal
I love this little place, was so good. The only one that doesn't fit my taste was taro cake (consistency wasn't my thing). We also order some pastries to go and all delicious. We will comeback for sure. Pd: order Bbq pork bun and pork chive buns are absolutely amazing!!
We were tired of fries and fish since we are visiting Nova Scotia so we stopped by Kee Heong. Plus, we were craving for asian food. The dim sum was so delicious! Savory and satisfying to eat! Each plate were different flavour and the staff were friendly! We highly recommand this restaurant! πŸ˜€
Perfect place to sit down with a date or a good friend and share a hot meal with tea. The menu is (understandably) smaller than a place like the Great Wall, but the pastries are addictive. I stop by to grab a chamomile puff or two whenever I can!
Very good first experience. Good prices and decent variety. Taste wise, it was a mix between great and average. Definitely worth going back to.
Wonderful, authentic Cantonese food. Their dumplings remind me of my time living in China. Friendly staff, always a great experience.
Love the egg tarts and peanut cake! The egg tart only costs $1! It is not too sweet but a bit dry. Anyway, still worths a try!
Very cute small shop they bake and also cook meals and they are very attentive and make sure you have everything you need would recommend!
Great service and phenomenal dim sum. Mostly shrimp and pork based (not many vegetarian options) but if you eat shrimp, you will not be disappointed.
Great, simple, low-key Cantonese bakery. We missed living in a city with lots of dim sum choices, so we were so happy to come across this place. No, it's not Toronto dim sum, but it is very decent for the Asian food scene in Halifax. The steamed bbq pork buns were our favourite. Will be back!
Excellent food and service, reasonably priced. We really enjoyed dining in!
Great food and overall a nice experience πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹, but service was a bit slow.
We had the ginger and pork dumpling soup, pork/cilantro and shrimp/chive steamed dumplings, bbq pork buns and for dessert, egg tarts and sesame ball. Everything was delicious and served very fast! Great meal.
Unassuming and delicious. Dumplings of all shapes and sizes. Such a cool atmosphere between the hole-in-the-wall/ owner-operated feel and the amazing food.
After having lots of dim sum while travelling in bigger cities, I found there were close to no options for dim sum in Halifax. I researched and found this place, and it turned out to be really good. They have great dim sum and the bakery items are also delicious! It is a very casual restaurant and b
A true gem if you want to try authentic Cantonese food in Halifax. They have from dumpling, pastry to drinks like fresh soy milk and tea as well. The owner lady was super friendly and nice to us, and the most important thing is the price is super cheap! Will definitely be back any time :)
