Fredies Fantastic Fishhouse - Halifax - Photo album

During our visit a few months back to Halifax, we tried Freddie’s Fish House. Honestly, we were blown away by the freshness and flavorful nature of every dish we ordered. Although I had the lobster roll, their fish and chips were an absolute standout— easily the best I've ever had. The experience w
Ordered the haddock tips and chips ($14.99) and it was delicious. We ate inside (five of us) on an extremely busy Friday evening and were able to find the perfect amount of seating at the old diner bar which was so nice. There was also a sign that The Fonz had eaten in the restaurant at one of the d
Weekday Special from 12-2pm. 2pc fish and chips $12. They serve canned pop( my favorite) and their poutines are great as well. Great place to grab fish and chips. Family owned. Very pleasant service. I think a lot of people under estimate this small establishment.
Omg. The food is so good. The best fried fish and fried scallops I had! Staff are super friendly too ☺️
We enjoyed the fish and chips, poutine, seafood chowder and coleslaw. The fish and chips were crispy, batter is just right (not too oily), and haddock was delicious. We enjoyed the seafood chowder with chunks of fish, scallop and lobster, so good. There are indoor and outdoor seating.
Good and chill place. The food was good too nothing super fancy about fish and chips
Hidden gem with excellent fish. Awesome staff and great lunch specials, too.
The only thing I would like to see changed is the plastic cutlery. I hope they change it to a more environmentally responsible option. Otherwise this place is wonderful. The staff are only to happy to split an order between two plates. They don't care that people share orders.
Fresh pieces of fried haddock & hand cut fries prepared to order; doesn’t get better than that! Thanks for the wonderful service Nadia and Yvonne. Always appreciated!
Okay quick write up as I'm waiting for the family at the local Walmart ...on our East Coast road trip we were determined for a fish and chips meal. We were stuck in traffic and didn't get to the place till about 635pm and this place closes at 7pm. Many places would have rolled their eyes if we came
