If you are looking for a place that has the genuine atmosphere of a "real pub" this is it! The food selection includes the regular basics and you can also get some gluten free items. The fish and Chips are the best and are a regular Friday special. Try it out and I am sure you will make "Shakies" your favourite pub for those lunches or evenings out. I wish I could give it ten stars!!
The Shakespeare Arms has the best fish and chips, not only in Guelph, but I dare say in all of Ontario. The fish batter is crispy, not greasy, and the chips are plump and yummy. Oh, and their coleslaw is to live for. Not too vinegary. Get yourself there any Friday for their special, or any day and give yourself a huge treat.
I love this bar so much. I have been there 4 times now and the staff are amazing. Courtney and Ashley on Sundays always take care of me and treat me like family. I love this place and I would be a regular if I lived closer.
We just had an amazing lunch with even better service!! Our server even ran my sunglasses out to me in the parking lot because I forgot them on the table. We are not from Guelph but we will be back! Thanks!!
