Review Baker Street Station - Guelph

My wife and I visited today and had a lovely time. We had the watermelon caprese salad, Korean fried chicken and the tofu curry poutine. Everything was fresh and delicious and Marissa, our waitress, was terrific. Excellent service, great information about the area and just chatting with her was very cool. We will be back again.

Great salad, great mix of watermelon, cucumber, and tomato. The pinch of peppermint is just enough to keep it interesting. Great dessert. 4 stars only cuz fries are kinda soft. There are also flies in the restaurant :(

I usually love this restaurant. However tonight, and every night we use the delivery service, we have issues. The burger tonight was thoroughly burnt and dried to the point it crumbled apart. Our food was also ice cold. We paid the extra delivery fee to have it sent right to us without stops since our last order was also cold. This one was almost frozen. Food shouldn't be given to am Uber service unless the driver has an insulating bag and this one didn't. So we had burn and almost frozen food. Not a great combo. Dine in only from now on which is usually worthy of 5 stars.

Absolutely excellent restaurant. I ordered the beef short ribs with pomme puree, cheese curd, brussel sprouts and red wine sauce. It was decadently delicious, the meat perfectly tender, the sauce well balanced and full or depth but the surprise hit was the brussel sprouts which were so sweet and perfectly crisp it transformed my opinion of the vegetable. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding which had the perfect velvety soft consistency and was delicious. Highly recommended.

Baker Street Station is a hidden gem in Guelph. The patio and every floor makes the restaurant so spacious and the service was impeccable. I ordered the Duck and Cornbread. Boy was I surprised when I engulfed my whole meal in seconds. The puree was the perfect pairing for the confit duck and Cornbread; however, it is no longer available. The next best thing is the braised short rib with mash potatoes and brussel sprouts. It was delicious. The Korean fried chicken was served with basmati rice, scallions and onions. I am not sure what makes the dish korean? Maybe the basmati rice? The chicken was more of a salt and pepper flavor, but at least they gave lots. We asked for hot sauce. I was surprised that they charged extra for it, but it was homemade. We also ordered the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. I enjoyed it. I would come back and try other items!

I had an exquisite chicken sandwich here. The chicken was perfectly cooked; tender and moist. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Onion rings were similarly fantastic. Big slices of onions with a well balanced amount of batter. Fried pickles were also really nice. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but it was well worth it based on my experience. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu!

This place is a staple of Guelph and I highly recommend their fish and chips! I've gotten them time and again and I'm never disappointed. They also have excellent fries. They used to give more fries per order but there's still a decent amount they give. Have had the poutine but I'd stick to just the fries for this place.

My daughters and I were there just last night for a bite to eat and drinks. Very good food great choices of craft beer. Very good service and nice ambiance. It was our first time , and won't be our last . I would recommend this place. A classic Guelph pub.

The best food in Guelph, matched by an outstanding variety of great beers. Don’t let the pub look fool you. This is 5 star cuisine. A must try!

Large selection of beers on tap. Menu is ok; food that was eaten was tasty, but the menu choices were a bit "meh". Women's washroom on the first floor is terrible! They've squeezed two stalls into a bathroom that should have only one toilet. Don't know how it's legal - don't use them if you're claustrophobic.

My family of 4 tried to have dinner yesterday, June 27th. we arrived at 610, and unfortunately didn't have a reservation but assumed they take walk ins. it was my birthday so we ventured downtown for a nice meal to celebrate. The young lady at the front desk advised me that she didn't think we could be seated because they had tables booked for 730...it was only 610, that seemed like plenty of time for us to eat and be done. She then said she would check upstairs as they had some people in non reserved tables..but then said never mind and didn't go and check. I said, so you aren't going to check and you will leave tables open until 730 even though its only 615 at this point. She just looked at me with a quite unpleasant face and said there is nothing I can do. So we walked out and the kicker is that both my children, who are older, turned around and watched her roll her eyes at me. I am a huge supporter of local business and this was unacceptable service..and to be do disrespectful to a prospective client is utterly disgusting. We will not even try to eat here again because of this experience.

Pros: Great food, excellent service, large variety of draft beer. Cons: TOO small (converted house), noisy as many tables are within arms reach of the bar, had to pay for parking across the street, not much lighting.

Just visited there today for our 29 anniversary . Had scallops and Brie cheese done in beer batter with blueberry compote on the side followed by the chicken curry and the burger. Amazing food and service from server 15. Will go back again when in the area as we live 2 hours away. Stopped in after googling you got to eat here and his place popped up.

Definitely one of my favourite places in Guelph! A comfortable yet lively environment; a large selection of craft beer; and a really unique, creative, and delicious menu. The kimchi fries and seared scallops are to die for. Always a fabulous experience :)

Really enjoyed our evening tonight and meal at Baker Street, and the service was great. I hope though that Baker Street will take the time to develop a couple of vegan or 'vegan-ize-able' mains. Although I did enjoy the quinoa and tofu salad tonight, it was my only choice.

great food and a very extensive selection of craft beers; staff are very courteous and friendly, even when dealing with a large group

Enjoyed the wide range of vegetarian-friendly appetizers, the atmosphere and especially the royalcitybrew Station Stout.
