Review Mountainview Family Restaurant - Grande Cache

I was here recently with my family and even though we showed up late we had the best service ever! All of our food was cooked perfectly and was DELICIOUS!! And also, our server Ruby provided us with the best service we could have asked for! And not only did she show us some great spots in the establishment for pictures, she also took a few for us! Thank you for adding a wonderful experience to my family's mini vacation :) We will definitely be coming here again!

First time in Grand Cache and the restaurant. Both the service and the food was great. Staff was awesome and very friendly. The food was very good. We are already talking about the next trip.

Great place to eat, awesome food awesome service five *****! Stop over in Grand Cache. Wasn’t sure where to eat, limited choices on a holiday Monday. Tried mountain view and the burger and eggs bennies were amazing. I wasn’t starving so I got a 1/2 order of the eggs Benedict with asparagus & avocado, I don’t think I’ve ever had a better bennies in my life, seriously, I wished I ordered a full one. My husband loved the burger too. The service was kind & welcoming atmosphere. It was a stop through place from Grand Prairie to Hinton AB. Glad we went!

Food was great, had the pulled prime rib and it was delicious. Portions were big too. Love eating here when I'm passing through town

Service was phenomenal. Ladies were kind and caring. Unfortunately I am only giving this place 3 stars I had lunch here at around 3 and the food didn't live up to my expectations. Small town you'd expect something homemade. The Bacon cheese burger Patty's were bland and terrible texture. I had an appetizer of garlic fries and they were very bland no seasoning to any of the food that I could taste. Inside, decor is outdated, which is a shame since I think with a remodel it would bring more people in. You need comfortable chairs and real tables and you need to make the whole restaurant, some what more open concept and facing the beautiful view you have from those windows at the front of the restaurant. Patio looks lovely, however I didn't sit out there, and can't speak to it. My biggest suggestion for this restaurant is to season the food, and home make your burgers from scratch. And don't squish the bun either. And make a presentation of the produce inside don't just just slap it in there and toss sauce in it looks sloppy. Get rid of those table clothes and get some nice wooden tables with live wood edges. Most importantly you need better chairs nothing more a guest is going to dislike other then there food being bad is an uncomfortable sitting. Because of the great service I've given you 3 stars otherwise I would have to settle for a 2 star.

The food and service was really great. I had the Mushroom Mozza with fries and my friend had the wrap with onion rings. The portions were huge! Sorry, no photo's, I was too tired from a long day. I would say given the low clientele do to COVID and then showing up shortly after reopening the staff did a great job.
