Review The Butcher - Gibsons

I have been here twice so far and each time the service and staff are always great. It is a little more expensive than other butchers on the coast, but the meat cuts we always get never disappoint! I will be back!

Walk into the store today. Two people were working. I just got an Hi and both employees walked to the back and turned there backs on me and having a good old chat between themselves. So I just walked out of the store without a purchase. O-well

Every time I come here, I'm left feeling so fortunate to have access to such a great butcher. The selection, quality, care, and service is very impressive.

Thanks to FB I was introduced to this place. I made a special detour on my last trip just to check them out. Worth it!!! Beautiful cuts of meats sourced as much locally as possible. Sausage filled with meat not gluten fillers...what?!? Maui ribs, lamb kababs and seasoned chicken wings... much more I was also give a backstage tour of their smoking operation. The employees or should I say, teammates are also super passionate and it translates into the feeling you get when you’re shopping there. .... but their smoked beef jerky is Da-best. Absolutely brilliant 👌🏻 Will need to come with a cooler next time I visit.

I buy pretty much all my meat here. Everything is quality. You can get some great random buys here like Wagyu beef hot dogs, which I highly recommended. Sausages are top notch, chicken isn't injected with saline so it does not shrink when you cook it. Really can't go wrong here.

Absolutely the best place in town to get meats. You're paying for quality here. That's for sure. Staff always super friendly and willing to help. Selection is easy to browse through and they have a great frozen section. The pot pies they sell have been lifesavers after a busy day at work!

Poor customer service. It feels like they are doing you a favour by helping you. The sausages I have tried were very salty. The seasonings they offer are very salty as well. The meat quality is the same you would buy anywhere else. So not worth the extra cost. I'm not sure what the hype is about. I wouldn't recommend them.

Ordered a good size of meat package from Halfmoon Bay. They don't usually deliver here but they did anyways and we were very grateful! Their meat is high quality. It's worth every penny. Next time we order we are more than happy to pick up
