I ended up at this McDonald’s on the worst day ever. It was right after the storm that left many parts of Ontario without power. This location was a nightmare! The self serve machines were not printing receipts so most people didn’t even know what their order number was. The display screen was also broken and the orders were all over the place. I waited 2.5 hrs to get this breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee. The staff were nice but clearly under immense stress. It doesn’t help when everything is malfunctioning on a high pressure day like this.
I wanted to write this review to say thank you to all the staff who pulled off the unimaginable in serving a sea of hungry, frustrated and helpless customers on a horrible day. They pulled through despite how long we had to wait and did it without a frown.
This Mac Donald's saved us in Gatineau...it was one of the few diners open late in the part we were in. Later we discovered that they had some bars and some depaneur open in another point. But Mac was right next to our hotel. It was really good for us.
The sandwiches are warm only but not as salty as the others. Fries are fresh and hot. We went by the drive through and we had to wait in the reserve lot. Maybe it’s around 7pm, it’s extremely busy. We waited at the parking spot for almost 10 minutes to get our food.
One of the best McDs in Gatineau! They seem to have a smaller working area than others, but they do great with what they have! Though I have yet to find a McDs that knows that a Double Big Mac ALREADY comes with 4 patties, and adding 2 makes 6, this location is great at customizing meals(Thankfully they know to add a third patty when ordering a Double Quarter Pounder with an extra patty).
Service was good all servers spoke in both English and French. Conveniently located near hotels and convention centre.
It was lovely to see young people encouraged and welcomed, as well as openly allowing firework attendees to use the facilities.
