Review La Ferme Rouge - Gatineau

Great place with really good food for a buffet. Definitely a place for a nice party. The crowd is more middle aged with not many people in their 20s but you can still have a good time. The show is definitely burlesque (as explained on the website) so not for you if you are not interested in that. Just know what you are coming for. I was here for a birthday and I really had a great time.

Poutine is on point. Cheese curds underneath, in between and on top! Salmon was cooked perfectly and great caramel chocolate cake

You aren't just paying for the buffet. $45 for all you can eat buffet, plus 3 hours of cabaret entertainment for night out, is pretty reasonable. The servers are also the entertainers. Serving us and changing costumes, dancing and singing. They don't stop from 6pm to 11pm. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For amateur entertainment, they did a great job and had fabulously powerful voices. This isn't Las Vegas. It's Aylmer. And what a great Saturday gig for theses young entertainers.

Great night out! The all you can eat buffet was very good. You're paying for the food but also for the show. While you eat, the waiters sing and dance on stage. It's a blast that lasts all evening! (Disclaimer, this isn't for people that want to eat before an evening activity. This is your food and entertainment for the entire evening.)

Amazing show, buffet was pretty great too. Definitely would return with friends. The entertainers are the wait staff as well yet service was not hindered at all (better than some regular places I've been to)

For a local act the talent is a welcome addition and provides an entertaining evening with friends and family. The buffet is standard, the staff are fabulous and the overall ambience is pleasant. I would go back and recommend this establishment.

I was visiting Ottawa and friends recommended this restaurant. It was absolutely great. The food was great and the live entertainment was absolutely fables.The entertainers have great talent and two of the singers have dynamite voices. If you ever are visiting Ottawa or the Gatineau region check this place out, you wont be disappointed.

Brought my mother here for her birthday and we had a blast! Amazing food, wonderful service, and joyful entertainment. Definitely worth your money and if you're a seafood fan you'll be in heaven!

I had a great time. Enjoyed the show with the many talented singers/ dancers. The buffet is excellent, especially for those who love seafood.

Entertainers were wonderful, food was good, could have been hotter and they were running low on meat at the carving station. The lobster bisque was truly the best I've ever had.

Price, value, quality are all present. The singers, dancers and the overall variety of music was great and much better than expected. Good job

The show was okay, I thought it would have and could have been better. Our waiter was okay too. There was a gentleman who came around to clear the tables, I DID NOT LIKE HIM!!! He would drop something off a plate and then he'd start swearing and getting mad. Instead of just keeping quiet and picking it up he swore not caring that there was kids at our table and at times right beside him. He was very "rushed" also, in hurry to get from one place to another, he elbowed one of the kids in the chest (I don't think it was on purpose) he shoved another one to get passed her instead of saying excuse me or letting her know he needed past. The buffet: was not impressed! If you don't eat sea food I don't recommend the buffet. Saturday the non seafood choices were; beef stroganoff (it was severely over cooked), meat balls (cheap bagged meatballs), pork and beef roast (both way over cooked and so dry it was almost unchewable) French fries and onion rings. Also they have a very selected few items for a salad ( the ceasar was so watered down the flavor was water, the bacon bits were the artificial bacon bits not at all what was expected for the price) NOT A $45 WORTH MEAL. There should be better/more options that aren't seafood. There should be an option for buffet, seafood or not seafood. I can understand paying $45 for a seafood buffet with all the options and as good as some of it looked but for those who don't eat seafood and options are so limited I think that it should be cheaper.

Super belle soirée! Trop cher pour le buffet par contre par rapport au choix limité mais j'ai bien mangé! Le talent des artistes est remarquable, mais le show comme tel n'a pas le même facteur "wow" qu'avant à l'autre emplacement. C'est comme une petite partie de ce qu'était la Ferme Rouge d'autrefois, surtout que j'adorais le bateau avec les fruits de mer et maintenant il y en a moins. Mais c'était quand même une expérience divertissante et différente d'un simple souper au resto. Beaucoup de plaisir!

Ferme Rouge, was a completely Unexpected Delight! I took my wife Julie for her birthday celebration. Our waiter Shawn turned into this super star Singer on stage along with 10 or so other musical performers. As the night went on so did the mesmerizing costume's, to complete the act! The meal was nothing less than spectacular. Julie and I had a choice of Seafood buffet or a la carte. IF you would like superior service ask for Shawn by name, he attended to our every need. Went here for New Years Eve! Great food. The Roast beef was terrific and the seafood very fresh! The service and entertainment could not have been better. Merci Sophie for your kind and attentive service!

Le buffet à 45$ ne vaut même pas 25$ , menu très limité et nous étions entassés. Dernière fois !

Nous avons adoré les chanteurs et le services étaient excellents rien à dire. Par contre le buffet n'est plus aussi bon et varié qu'avant, c'était froid. Aussi le spectacle était beaucoup mieux avant dans le sens qu'il y avait plus d'artistes et l'animation était meilleure. Heureusement ceux qui restent donnent le meilleur d'eux-mêmes, ils sont excellents.

I thought this place was fantastic on all levels... Food was great, Singers were outstanding, Service was amazing.. They also wished my wife Chrystaine and I James a happy Anniversary tonight it was pretty cool :) I will definitely return we all had a great time even our Senior residents from Chateau Symmes had a blast :) :) :) :) I have to say sitting in the front row had my wife and I staring at the Gorgeous Male and female singers hihi :) First experience I'll never forget looking forward to our next visit..

The show is good. We had a good time. One thing I didn't enjoy is the buffet. The chicken was dry. I wish they put a bit of light on every table it was too dark. I enjoy it though.

They have a Buffett and show on Friday and Saturday night. Other than that they have one menu with 12 items (pub grub). A little limited.

I went for the seafood buffet. Thankfully someone at the table recommended I go look at it before committing to the $45 cost. The only stand-alone seafood was cold crab legs (not pre-cracked like at Red Lobster) and cold peel-and-eat shrimp - they do this because it's such a pain to get into them that you don't eat too many! There were some mussels, and stuff stuffed in salads, and even whole deep-fried frogs (ugh!) but all-in-all not worth the price. That being said, I decided to go à la carte and was very pleased with it. I had the filet mignon, medium rare, with an added lobster tail, as well as added sautéed mushrooms and sautéed onions (they had to be ordered separately at extra cost). All told I ended up paying more than the seafood buffet but at least I got exactly what I wanted! I love sweet wine (like moscato) and was very pleased that they had Gallo white zinfandel by the glass or by the bottle. The servers are also the entertainers, so there is a gap in service when they are performing - so you should expect this if you are expecting your plates to be cleared or glasses filled after the show starts! Be patient and they will get to you. I was extremely pleasantly surprised about the calibre of the performers there. The music was varied - English and French - from Motown to Bon Jovi - Phantom of the Opera to local folk music. Something for everyone. It made for a very lively and joyful experience. I did let the manager know about one note I had while there. The cigarette butt depository was placed in the middle of a cold wet lawn and there were people in dress shoes - as a result everybody was grinding their butts out on the sidewalk near the side entrance. I suggested they move it closer to the door to prevent soaked shoes and a littered walkway. She seemed happy to take the suggestion. I will be back for a special occasion but I certainly couldn't afford to eat there often! (Would have been five star except for the disappointing buffet.)

Oui, il y a du crabe froid. Mais, vous pouvez le demander chaud aussi. mmmmmm direct dans la bédaine..... super bon. en plus du spectacle, qui est super bon aussi.

Great place and great food and ambiance.. will go back there for sure...
