Review Resto Bistro Rumeur - Gatineau

We had a lovely diner there! Tasty food and friendly service. My seafood pasta was perfect! We also had duck tartar, snails, onion soup, and kid’s pizza. Everything were great and prices there very reasonable! Will be back for sure!

I have not had a meal like this in a very long time. It was delicious. I had the Bavette (7oz) with homemade fries and salad. The meat had been marinated for some time, and was tender and delicious. Portion size was perfect. My partner had the seafood pasta and he said it was really tasty. Great service - promptly greated, seated and served. Waitress was pleasant and there when we needed her. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and crème brulée. It was homemade and SO good. Highly recommended!

Every time we eat at this restaurant we are never disappointed. The menu is quite varied and all the dishes look exquisite.

We were part of the tour bus who got drop off at the buffet restaurant across the road. We were looking for another option and found resto bistro rumeur. Food was serve quickly (as requested). Pasta taste delicious and seafood selection was cook perfectly. Our waiter was friendly and caring. Would recommend the food

This restaurant has very good food. We were there for a birthday party. The meal took longer than expected to be served but we all received a %10 off our bills which I though was nice of them to do considering they did not have to give us anything other then an apology. My wife took the Penne pasta and I had the Burger info of the meals below: Pasta: « LE MAFIOSO » $18 Penne in basil pesto, roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives and parmesan. Burger: LE HAMBURGER SOUS LES BOIS $17 Angus burger with bacon, brie cheese, caramelised onions, sautéed mushrooms and bbq sauce.

The place is nice, the staff is very gentle, the food is not bad, but it is very expensive for what is served on the plate.

Excellent food and service!!! We ordered the best burger I ever had. The Echo de rumeur salad, fried calamari and creme brulee were also delicious.

Food and ambience was good! Enjoyed our sangria very much and they had some other great drinks as well. Was booked as part of the hotel package which was supposed to include a discount but came to later find out it's only on the main course and not the whole bill which was slightly misleading.

Wow! Best salmon I've had in years! Nice presentation, good service.

Food was great. Staff were helpful and we were able to be in-time for our show nearby at Salle Odyssey after expressing our commitments. Only point against was the lack of drinks available. Offering was sub-par for a place this expensive (no mojitos, no daikiris...)

One of our favorite places to eat in town! Great burgers, my favoirite is the tartar asiatique, classic is also delicious. I live their salads, one with the duck confit and the other with the fried goat cheese. This place is always a hit.And the service, is excellent. Love!

Good breakfast and the place is clean and service was good. Well a breakfasts is a breakfast but the poutine breakfast worth trying. Price is also good and normal

Attached to the V hotel this is a consistent value breakfast. Surprising quality and service no doubt to serve the business clients of the hotel. Had good breakfast today despite some server errors which were corrected without the over dramatic of other young servers in the area.

La nourriture est bonne, mais nous avons eu une mauvaise expérience. Premièrement, ce fut long avant qu'on vienne même nous voir à notre table. Ensuite, une fois qu'on a commandé, nous n'avons pas reçu nos plats avant au moins 45-50 minutes. Nous avions commandé un hamburger et une poutine, rien de très très long comme préparation... Le serveur est arrivé avec mon verre de bière et celui-ci était couvert de rouge à lèvres. Et pour terminer en bauté, le serveur a failli se sauver avec mon assiette sans m'avoir demandé si j'avais terminé, et je n'avais pas terminé. Il ne s'est jamais excusé à propos du verre sale ni du fait qu'il s'en allait avec mon assiette sans avoir demandé si j'avais terminé. C'était très désolant parce que la nourriture était très bonne. Ce restaurant a beaucoup de potentiel, mais ils devraient embaucher des serveurs expérimentés et qui savent être serveurs. Ce serveur semblait être à sa première journée et encore là, ce n'est pas parce qu'on est à sa première journée qu'on fait des choses comme celles-là... J'ai été déçue du service, mais la nourriture était bonne.

Is this place a joke?. Went there today, June 21st at 12:10 by myself for a beer and some lunch. I was seated outside by my request. <br/><br/>I was asked 3 times, twice by the same person if there would be anyone else joining me.<br/><br/>20 minutes into my wait, I was asked if I'd like something to drink. I ordered a beer and a wrap.<br/><br/>15 minutes later - I got my beer. 35 minutes after that I got my wrap. <br/><br/>20 minute wait!! 35 minute for beer!!! 70 minutes for a wrap!!!!<br/><br/>All for $25.29 - no tip (which I've only ever done twice in my life and I eat out every day of the week [literally])<br/><br/>I mentioned to the waitress as I was paying (when I walked inside, because no one decided to check on my to see if I needed my bill) how long I had been waiting. "I'm sorry, we're busy". Yes - it's lunch time on a Friday, this happens every week I'm sure.<br/><br/>All that and the wrap wasn't great and I didn't touch a single french fry simply because I didn't want to be in that place anymore.<br/><br/>Very, very frustrating.

Déception!. Nous avons pris le dîner au Bistro Rumeur. Ma conjointe à choisie la Pizza Rumeur , et moi le Poisson Croustillant. En entrée, un potage carotte & coriandre était très bon. La pizza par contre était très moyenne et mon poisson croustillant définitivement trop cuit. Le service était bon. Nous n'y retourneront pas.

Ambiance géniale, mets très savoureux, portion raisonnable et service excellent. Nourriture de très haute qualité. Essayé les calmars maison

Tasty. The food is excellent. Its home-made and you can tell because it's just that honest and good.<br/>The locale is a little off though- way too cold, too much empty space when you come in and a few tables huddled together near the tv.<br/><br/>BUT! You're there for the food which is definitely worth it!<br/>Greek Salad<br/>Fish and Chips<br/>Crème Brulée<br/>Coke<br/>37$ + Tip.<br/>VERY Reasonable!

Fabulous breakfast! Simple but entirely home made. A refreshing place and atmosphere to eat. The staff and environment is genuine and friendly. :-)

Good Value. Nice ambience - sort of New York chic. Although it is not a very big restaurant, tables are well spaced so you get a feeling of privacy. I had the fish and chips and they were really good. The fish was fresh and well cooked, and the fries were also fresh (which I really appreciated). Home made tartar sauce. Service was friendly. We will definitely return when we feel like having a casual dining experience. They also have a terrace (too cold when we were there) and a bar.

EXCELLENT! Best in a while!. This restaurant has it all...well almost. Cute and quiet ambiance, great..no amazing food! Very original menu with alot of variety, very refined but plate has food on it; unlike other refined restaurants where you just get to sample the food! (I always wonder who gets the rest of the portion?)<br/>So tasty, and prices very reasonable. Quite a discovery!!!<br/>Only downside was service, but being very picky! I'm sure it was just that waitress in particular, lack of experience...

Chips are great. Try the duck and gouda pizza!!!
