Review Restaurant Alpina - Gatineau

That was way better than expected. For the price you get a big serving, for the price it was fresh, for the price it was tasty. Better than some high class restaurants. Service is quick, bilingual and courteous. Highly recommend.

Great and simple breakfast experience with family. Hits the spot just right. Excellent variety of options if you're not a fan of "typical breakfast". The staff was lovely and efficient. I would have loved to drink a latte, but they only served filter coffee, unfortunately. I will definitely be coming back as many do.

It was delicious! What more can I say? If I had to be picky- I wish the French toast was cooked a little more. Too eggy for my preferences. Ample parking and a lovely drive to get here.

Best poutine in Quebec, as my partner said. I really enjoyed my grilled cheese sandwich (with grilled veggies) too, and it was the perfect stop next to the park. The server was just adorable and nice! I really recommend that place, easy parking, fast and great food! Cheap mimosas too if that's your thing

Excellent service meets amazing food! Food was delicious and flavourful paired with ripe fruit. The sweet and savoury dishes made me want to explore their menu more. Will definitely be back on my next visit.

After a couple of hours hiking in Gatineau Park, we were hungry and in need of refreshment. We searched for something close and found Restaurant Alpina which is located just outside the Park. We sat on the outside patio. First, we had an alcoholic drink and then some amazing poutine! The fries, gravy and curds (traditional poutine) were all fresh and hot and gooey and melty... just look at the photo!! We shared a large serving and it filled us up fast. They offer both breakfast and lunch menu. Then close at 2:30. The service was friendly and we will definitely visit again

This place has great breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered their western omelet. The omelet comes with potatoes, toast, and your choice of coffee or tea. I love their homemade fruit jam. Too bad they don't sell it in jars to bring home. It is a small restaurant, and it gets busy very quickly. Their parking gets packed fast. They will only take reservations for big groups. There is an outside patio that is used in the summertime. The front entrance is accessible from the gravel parking lot The service is alright. It does take a while to get a cup of coffee or tea served at your table after you order your meal. The same goes for the bill. The servers are bilingual, which is a bonus, and they are very friendly.

Finally visited this place after driving my it for my whole life and I’m pleased to say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Went for breakfast. Beautiful view, very nice patio. Wonderful atmosphere, attentive service, mimosas of every kind. The food was delicious and the homemade raspberry jam to is to die for. It’s a must visit.

We stop for breakfast every weekend before going to the cottage. Food is excellent and they have the best Benedict eggs. Rony and his staff are so great, they go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. Keep up the great work guys.

This is nice place to have brunch on a Sunday morning, the atmosphere is great and there are many choices. They have a patio for summer drinks.,

One year later This place has only gotten bigger but somehow quality is still too notch, great service and amazing food

We were a huge group of 26 for a birthday and I can't thank the team at Alpina enough for doing such an AMAZING job of hosting us. They gave us an entire section of the restaurant, helping me organize the entire thing and catered to every small request. The brunch was a huge success, great food and large portions. The $5 mimosas are a lovely option and really help this restaurant stand out as a wonderful breakfast spot. Most importantly however was the outstanding service. A pretty restaurant with good food but bad service is a huge miss in my books which is why I want to extend the biggest thank you to the staff at Alpina, from the hostess to the servers, for excellent service with a smile and, again, catering to every small request. This place is a hidden gem (right next to Gatineau park, no less) and we will definitely be back!

We drove up to the restaurant and it was welcoming when we walked in. We arrived around 10:30am, there were a lot of booths and some tables. It was a cozy inside. We sat near the window near the kitchen, looking out at the patio. We got asked if we wanted coffee as we sat down. We looked at the menus and it wasn’t easy to make a decision on what to order. Finally I ordered the Brunch Alpina which was delicious. It had 3 eggs, bacon, beans, toast with homemade jam, home fries and delicious French toast with maple syrup. I would recommend this place as the service was excellent! Great day to go while it was raining.

After many trips to the hills and passing by without stopping by (huge mistake)... Today we FINALLY got to try ALPINA RESTAURANT in Gatineau, honestly this is now my favourite Brunch spot and I cant wait for their Patio season cause I have a feeling that it will become my favourite PATIO as well. ⠀ Today we have a great BRUNCH with friends that are like our family and it was amazing, not only the company but also THE FOOD. ⠀⠀ First we arrived and thanks God we had a reservation made for us because there was a line, as soon as I saw the line I knew that the food was going to be a total HIT (so if you are going to visit them, make sure you make a reservation or have on mind that there is some waiting specially on the weekends). ⠀ After a few minutes looking at the menu and going through so many DELICIOUS options we decided to get: ✨SMOKED MEAT BREAKFAST CLUB - Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Smoked Meat and Lettuce. ✨ALPINA ROYAL (the name doesn’t make honour to the actual dish and flavour it should be like ALPINA MEGA ROYAL 😆) - Eggs, Sausages, Bacon, Bologne, Ham, Creton and 2 French Toast with some Fruits. ✨LE BBQ OMELETTE - Pulled Pork, sautéed onions, in-house made Bbq Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese!! Also all breakfast items are served with Home Fries and Coffee or Tea... ABSOLUTELY BEST BREAKFAST FRIES EVER!! Not only the fries but everything was totally delicious, absolutely well done, super flavourful and totally good looking (perfect for insta pics) and not only that but also GIGANTIC! Portions were absolutely generous!! 🚨DEAL ALERT!! They have $5 Mimosas 🤩 which is a killer brunch deal, don’t you think!? 😱 ⠀ ✨ I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND YOU THIS PLACE, this is a MUST TRY and you gotta add it to your FOODIE BUCKET LIST, I guarantee you, it won’t disappoint!! ⠀ APPROVED AND LOVED by @Foodieeh !!

Great food and service. Next time I am in the area I will make it a point to stop here again for breakfast. The Hollindase Sauce was top notch.

I had previously been to this restaurant before the new owners were there. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived by the change of decor, seating and layout of the restaurant. The menu had a good variety as well as originality and very reasonable prices. The food tasted great. I recommend this place very much and we will definitely be going back.

Where do I even start? The staff are above and beyond friendly. The food is to die for! We can't wait to go back and try more. The owner is a true reflection of small town business. The love that goes into his food, you can taste in every bite. I wish I could give it ten stars out of five....that's how good it is

We love the breakfast here. We’ve also been for supper a few times. The outdoor patio facing the park is great on summer evenings.

You won't find a better Breakfast! I'm vegetarian so they always add lots of fresh fruit to my meal. The coffee is great and the service too!
