Nous avons un rituel très fréquent les vendredi soirs. Notre endroit de prédilection est le restaurant Meule et Caquelon sur Gréber à Gatineau qui offre une gamme de fondues et de raclettes. Que la place soit bondée ou non, nous réussissons quasi instantanément à entrer dans notre bulle comme si nous étions seuls dans la place. Ceci nous permet d'évacuer la semaine qui vient de se terminer et de jaser de tout et de rien. La relaxation à son meilleur.
De plus, nous terminons souvent notre soirée avec un verre de vin au restaurant Le Cellier dans le vieux Hull. Hier soir, la place était bondée et nous avons eu la chance de trouver une table sur la terrasse. Cet endroit est très particulier. une terrasse bondée, les gens qui se connaissent se saluent et on entame par la suite notre dégustation. La température était parfaite! Je visite le Cellier depuis plusieurs années et je me dois de féliciter Joe Rego et Isabelle Lacroix pour le travail remarquable qu'ils ont accompli. Attirer des clients dans le centre-ville n'est pas une mince tâche mais il ont réussi.
Le Cellier est sans contredit un 'must' pour les amateurs de bonne chair (Martin Parker est assez incroyable en cuisine). La cave à vin regorge toujours de nouveaux produits (importations privées et des vins que l'on connait. C'est clair que nous continuerons de fréquenter cet établissement. Merci Joe et Isabelle d'avoir créé Le Cellier.
Toujours un très bon service. La nourriture est excellente et le staff toujours souriant. L’ambiance est toujours très agréable ! Parfait pour un souper entre amis 🤗
Nous avons passes une excellente soirée samedi dernier au restaurant Meule et Caquelon. Nous sommes arrives vers les 18h et avons fermés le restaurant (pas à cause de la lenteur du service, mais parce que nous avions réellement du plaisir). Le serveur qui nous était assigné était vraiment gentil et répondait à toutes nos attentes. On a presque développé une amitié avec lui, c est peu dire :) La nourriture était exquise (mais c est nous qui avons dû la faire cuire hihi c est de la fondue ou de la raquelette) Je le recommende grandement... P.S. les jours de semaine, il y a des spéciaux vraiment allèchant... C est certain que j y retourne sous peu...
Amazing place to eat! Fondue chinois was spectacular. Service was superb. Can't wait to try out their raclette! We will be going back!
Nous avons passé une soirée formidable lors de notre souper-fondue. Nous avons reçu un bel accueil et un excellent service. La serveuse était attentionnée et souriante.

Super ! Mon conjoint et moi avons commandé les 3 fondues. C'était délicieux et le service de Pascale était inpeccable !
J'adore l'endroit, le décor, l'ambiance. La fondue suisse est excellente. L'appareil de la raclette ne chauffait pas assez cependant... La viande était plus bouillie, mais c'était tout de même très bon, sans compter la fondue... On a pris la totale, repas le plus dispendieux, 41$/personne. C'est cher mais Y'avait du stock. On a ramené beaucoup. Serveuse Anie-Pier super sympa

Je suis allée avec ma mère. Nous avons commandé un combo fondue fromage et chinoise avec salade et fondue au chocolat. Tout était correct. Le service excellent. Première visite et pas ma dernière.
Very good. Tres Bon. Belle expérience. La fondue de fromage , fondue chinoise et fondue chocolat étaient toutes très bonnes

Nous avons celebré notre 6ieme anniversaire de marriage au Meule et Caquelon. Nous avons commander la table d'hote a 3 fondue. Yummmmm, nous avons tres bien mangé!! Resto reccomender par des amis, nous y retournons dans le future proche!
Great little cozy restaurant. Loved our server he explained everything to us and made us feel comfortable. This was our first time here and we will definitely go back.

Délicieux! When my friends suggested dinner here, I was apprehensive. It ended up being a wonderful time! The food was great and it had a lovely atmosphere with staff in traditional Swiss clothing. We ordered the three-fondue set, which was tasty and filling. I'm sensitive to salt, and the food was not at all salty. The restaurant wasn't easy to spot at night, however, as it was unexpectedly in a strip mall and the sign was a bit faded. With that said, it's definitely worth another visit and I would gladly recommend it to others.

I went with my family for a relaxed birthday dinner! We ordered the package of cheese fondue (bread), Chinese fondue (beef with broccoli, onions, potatoes), and chocolate fondue (dark chocolate with mixed fruits). I was impressed by the portion of meat.
The service was great, and no rush at all. We were able to enjoy each fondue serving. The manager also came over to see how we liked it, which was a nice touch.
Very welcoming! The lady who was serving us is bilingual. She is very helpful as it was our first time to try cheese fondue, raclette and valais. We ordered a little bit of everything. The owner is very friendly. He told us the business is already in its 26th years. For sure will go back.
Wonderful meal! They brought us out a salad to start with and honestly the homemade sauce was the best dressing I've ever had on a salad. We had the La Raclette meal and the fondue. Our server recommended a very nice fruity cocktail made with a fruit beer and it was delicious! It was fun to grill our own meats and veggies to our preferences. The staff and owner were very helpful and gave an explanation on how to enjoy our meal with the spices and sauces provided. Wish we had something in the states like this. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

It was my birthday not so long ago and I was craving raclette.... which brought us to Meule et Caquelon. Reservations are highly recommended especially for their special nights (check their menu for weekly specials). The restaurant is pretty big and can accommodate for groups. It has the swiss Alps mark all over it, featuring wood and "traditional" costumes for the staff. Each table comes with its own exhaust fan, which is not a luxury considering you fundamentally cook/grill everything at your table.
Food was fresh and portions were good, from the meats to the vegetables, bread, sauces and cheeses of course. We had a great time and our waiter was super friendly.
We will go back for an actual raclette night when they bring a section of a wheel to "raclette" yourself. Yum!!
If you like cheese, I would highly recommend you check out this place! 👍
Staff is polite and efficient, everything is clean, the food is marvelous and unlike anything else in thr region. We have especially loved their Cheese fondue!
They also have a nicely curated selection of beer from around the world.
Very much worth a visit, we have been going for the last 15 years and we will keep eating there :)

The place is terrific, food is delicious, I would recommend the restaurant for everyone, I’m from Toronto, came to Ottawa for the Holidays and we find the best place ever near Ottawa in Gatineau.
This is a more interesting restaurant than regular dinner, at least to my own experience in traveling. The hospitality here is top notch, there's really nothing to complain about. The owner is very tentative and friendly, so as the staffs. We had the "La raclette" menu, it's like a serve yourself grill where you cook the food on the table. The server will let you know how to cook, along with how to use the sauces on the side. Overall, I throughoutly enjoyed the meal, it was a fun experience and I recommend to anyone who'd like to try something new.
I love the little sections they created inside the restaurant, it's very cozy and you can actually enjoy a good conversation without loud noises. The service was excellent as were the food and drinks. Prices are very reasonable.
Very good fondue and raclettes. We came at a Friday night at 8 and no need to wait.
What a phenomenal experience. We were a group of eight and this was the perfect place for a leisurely evening together. The food was spectacular and we were well taken care of by our waitress. This is definitely worth the drive if you're on the Ottawa side.

Love grilling food in a variety of ways! Of course, one thing you can't miss for Swiss-style food is cheese! Special cold sauces also taste amazing with grilled meat and seafood!
