First time here and I had the Aloha pizza (which was basically Hawaiian with a few extra vegetable toppings). The food was good and filling, the pizza itself was really thin though & it was difficult to eat. But still quite delicious
The dish was a little expensive, but these days it's difficult to find good prices for the food we order out.
The menu style was something new to me & they were QR code menus. I personally prefer regular menus. Finally, there wasn't an English section in the menu & luckily I know enough French to get around - the waiters and waitresses are friendly and help out with any language barrier issues.
Overall a pleasant experience, it was just a bit ruined by uninvited wasp guests during the summer (not Pizzaza's fault by any means). The outdoors patio seating we were at was nice other than the few wasps that decided to tag along
Service was excellent and the Zorba Salad was simple but very good. Retro Pizza was good but needed a little extra flavor. I think maybe a zestier sauce might do the trick. Ingredients were fresh, so that was a big plus. Overall enjoyed the experience and would return and try something different second time around. Just to see what a different option brings to the table.
We each had water and a salad, one with trout which was nice, one with vegetables, which was mostly iceberg lettuce. The service was good, the atmosphere was strange on the terrace with different loud music coming from different sources resulting in plain noise. This simple small meal for two cost nearly $50 including tax and tip.
Good food. Good service. Piz'za-za is an occasional favourite.
Located in the heart of downtown Hull. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.
I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for high-end gourmet stuff. However, if you are looking for tried and true, proven pizza recipes made in a wood oven, then this is your place.
Update: Stopped in before heading over to Cirque du Soleil 's Kooza. We had lasagna and a pizza. I especially liked the salad as it had a walnut oil and balsamic dressing that was very nice.
Good food, service and ambiance. We had the retro and Calabrese pizzas. Lots of parking.
My first visit was exceptional. The French speaking staff were warm, polite and did their best to speak in English (as I did in French). The pizza I ordered was called "Retro". Thin crust, tomatoe sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon strips and olives. It was truly superb. I saw other less traditional gourmet pizzas that looked tantalizing as well! The atmosphere and decor were upscale casual, cozy and elegant.
Highly recommended.
Pizzaza is an old favourite. It never disappoints, and will always be my go to for great pizza at a reasonable price. I like their selection of toppings and assortment of salads. A little bit of everything for everyone.
We enjoyed excellent service accompanied by the most delicious pizzas. We truly enjoyed our experience! Thank you to the staff and kitchen. Unfortunately we were half an hour late for a reservation and this wonderful restaurant accommodated us. ❤️❤️ We will definitely be back
Neat little wine bar in Gatineau, they have a really good selection and also feature craft beers. The pizzas are all original little creations which we really enjoyed as a family. Service is really terrific and I hope to go back for more of their food and my kids love their lemonade!
A nice place to catch up with friends for lunch. Everything is fine; food, service, ambiance, and value.
Great pizza and great service. It was my first time and I loved their IPA and pizza ! Frank was friendly
Love this place. Their pizzas ate great and salads just amazing. Love the smoked trout salad and have it each time. They also have lots of choice of wine. Definite recommendation.
