Incredible beer. Glad we found the place. The museum downstairs is great. Loved having the Brown ale with the Cajun chicken Nachos. Great service. All this comes from a picky chef and former waiter.
Nous sommes allé ma femme et moi l'assiette de charcuteries et fromages était très bonne et que dire du choix de leur bières avec l'horloge c'est une bonne idée pour goûter plusieurs de leur crû. Même si c'est à 1.30hr de chez nous ça valait la balade......

Travaillant dans le domaine du tourisme je vais définitivement vanté ce restaurant auprès des clients qui recherche découverte et de l'histoire ! La microbrasserie Les Brasseurs du Temps est un phare, une destination touristique, culturelle et sociale qui fait battre le coeur du Centre-Ville. Sise sur les lieux de l'ancienne brasserie de Philemon Wright, fondateur du Canton de Hull, elle à redonné au site sa vocation originale.
Vraimment le fish and chips. ..... est le meilleure que g manger en ville....biere exemplaire de saveur diverse qui nous fais découvrir leur passion envers la bière.. merci gangs du bdt...vous êtes une belle équipe. ...cheers..

Excellent endroit! Nous avons adoré. Première visite et c’est sur que nous allons y retourner. Nous avons commandé le tartare de gibier ainsi que le trio de trempettes BDT. Ce fut un délice en bouche.
On y retournera à notre prochaine visite en Outaouais, c’est évident!

Great local microbrewery. Wide variety of beer they also have seasonal offers! Food was delicious but portions varied alot. The basket of sweet potato fries was HUGE but the bacon-beer mac and cheese plate was tiny. Service was ok nothing great. Prices were within local brewery ranges.
Great beer. Lots too choose from. Menu looks really good too. We shared a caeser salad, real bacon in it, thats always nice to see. Looked like homemade croutons too but who can tell nowadays. We also had the fish and chips. Fish was astounding, must be a specialty of theirs. The chips were pretty good. Food came out way faster than we were expecting but they did mess up our order by bringing us regular fries when we had asked for the fancier, "Cajun fries". Not a big deal but now Im still wondering what those fancy fries taste like.
Also the patio is gorgeous.
The meal is just so and so . The portion were very big. We had fish and chips , the batter was regular nothing extra . The taste was a bit to much on the batter and not on the fish.
Service was good and efficient , the server very polite and clean.
I really like the beer there. Trois portages is my favorite but don't let the fruity taste fool you...it comes with a punch. Food is hit or miss...Stuff on the menu come and goes.
Went there for beer and got the selection platter. There were more beer choices than three Brewers in Ottawa, but the taste was what you could expect from a microbrewery: interesting taste, but weak and lacked substance of more established breweries. The food was not spectacular and was what I expected from a bar place.
Pleasant restaurant, particularly if it is a lovely day & you can sit on the patio by the river, as it is removed from the city noise. The selection of beers is great, the food is tasty & the service is friendly (for the large group I was with, the service was a little slow, but okay).
Tried the Poutine Bourguignone at it was amazing. The beer selection speaks for itself.
Excellent beer ! What a nice place to have a GOOD beer around (one of the only one except mill street). For food, ask them what their specialties are its worth it!
To sum BDT: mediocre service (unhelpful hostess), mediocre food, but GREAT beer. Stopped in for a beer and dinner and had the Scie Trouillard - the pumpkin beer and it was super tasty. I would go back but stick to beer and bar snacks.

Eux autres ils l'ont l'affaire !!!. C'était plus fort que moi, j'ai utilisé un vieux slogan de bière comme titre d'introduction. Cependant, le titre leur va bien ! J'en ai visité des restos, des pubs, des bars etc... et je peux affirmer sans ambages que la micro-brasserie LES BRASSEURS DU TEMPS (BDT) fait partie de mon TOP 5.

Always delicious!. If you want great food and great beer, this is the place to go. Laid back atmosphere, gorgeous decor. I especially love the poutines and the exceptionnal IPAs (Pied du Courant, Diable au Corps). The combo is to die for!
Busy and efficient place. I regularly go to the BDT with friends and I'm always surprised at how they can offer such good service when the place in jumping busy. I love their beer. My favourites are ESB1821 in winter and Au Pied du Courant in Summer, but I like many others on this extensive brewed-on-premisses beer menu. The food is great, and so is the music. On top of it all they went through the trouble of building a beer museum! Who would have thought. Quite dedicated these BDT folks!
Home away from home. This is the place I've been waiting for a long time, great food, great beer and great entertainment. All of this leads to a tremendous atmosphere in a exquisite location. Need I say more!
Biere, musique. Un des meilleurs endroits pour un choix musical des plus varié grâce au plus dévoué Jean-Pierre et son gars de son Mike qui nous fait passer une agréable soirée et sans parler des bières de choix que le maitre brasseur Dominic nous fait découvrir. Je le recommande BDT a tous. J'ai toujours eu un bon service et j'adore leurs frites mayo. J'y vais souvent les lundis et parfois les dimanches. One of the best musical menu and amazing beer I really recommend this place and there fries. Great ambiance.

Ils brassent des bières de dégustation contemporaines ainsi que des bières traditionnelles avec tout le sérieux et le savoir-faire que peuvent y mettre de vrais artisans brasseurs. Mehhhh. It's a great pub. Very nice atmosphere. Very good beers. To top it all up, it is local. So make the trip an support your local producers of beer goodiness! The food is ehh. Stick to the regular pub food and don't buy in on the fancy shmancy menu. The food is not good and it is visible in the open kitchen work mode. The pub grab is great with the beer though. Go there for the beer, not the food

I had a hard time saying that "I like it". I think Urbanspoon needs a "Mehh" button. This place is neat in that it has a mini brewry museum and has tons of beer to serve. It's all made in-house too. My husband, the beer conoiseur said the beer was really good. He tried a bunch from the sampler menu. The food on the other hand is over priced pub food with fancy non-descriptive names. I don't think a burger should cost 18$, ever. My husband had the flank steak. He said it was over done and the small portion was like a mini steak in a fry stack. Poor guy, I shared my burger with him. I would say, go their for a pint or two and don't waste your money on the food.
Great food, nice ambiance. We ate outside and I felt like I had been transported to France or some other European city! The food was great - especially the poutine! Poutine, you say?? Yes, but like you've never tasted it. Definitely a fun and tasty selection. The goat cheese and rocket salad with marinated figs was amazing. As was the venison burger (complete with onion rings right in the burger) -best I've had in a while. Moules frites were so good - the sauce made with one of the tasty beers brewed at this brew pub. The sampler platter of beer was a beer-lovers' dream - I enjoyed it and I'm not even a beer drinker.
The service was OK - one minor complaint was that the waitress needed a reminder to bring our water.
Otherwise, two thumbs up. I would recommend this place and will definitely go back in the future.
Love the patio. I have been to this restaurant 3 times now and the food is consistant. There beer taster is a nice way to get to know the 12 different beers they make. Save this one for a sunny day and sit on the patio.
Lovely place. To be honest, inside of me I hate the brasseur du temps because they hired my friend but never called me. If I become a professional though, It is a pretty descend place. The food is good but pricey and the beer...taste like beer( I personnaly hate beer) It has a great location and a good staff. Recommend to any beer lovers or people would just loves a good "terasses"
One of a kind. I have been to BDT more than 10 times now. The micro brewed beer is truly astounding .BDT has up to 10 beers of their own plus other micro brewers. I recommend the ESB named after the founder of Hull Philemon Wright. The food is overpriced. I recommend the duck or piggy platter. The French style homemade cheesecake (with beer chocolate sauce) was delicious. The beer sorbet is the best thing on the menu. Service sometimes sucks but always go back for the beer.
Great spot! The food way yummy and I definitely reccomend the 'horologe' beer tasting experience. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the staff. They got one of our guests order wrong and he ended up getting his food fifteen minutes after everyone else. Also they could work on being a little friendlier, they seemed flustered and annoyed.

Was our first visit. Ambiance is nice,music was not too loud, beers are out of this world. Burgers were really good but a warm bun would have been nice.Was served with a lot of fries.mayo did not seem to be homemade but should be. Service by our waiter Sidney was efficient,warm and attentive.will return soon.

We had a great time, the food of the french chef was a delight, the choice of beer is just fantastic and you have to try the "ORLOGE",it's a choice of twelve beer all made at the BDT. EXCELLENT.....
Very nice place. The Brasseurs du Temps is a very nice place. I really liked the ambience - and there is a great patio for nice days. The service was great. The food was excellent (I had the salmon). While I don't drink beer - my friends said it was also great.
Les Brasseurs du Temps - A really special place!. Les Brasseurs du Temps (BDT) is a really great spot - I been there 5 times now and would highly recommend it. The BDT selection of beers is huge - I think there are over 20. I've tried 6 or 7 and they were amazing. My personal favorite is the "Philemon Wright". Be sure to try one of their gourmet poutines - I've tried them all and they were fantastic. The fish and chips is my personal favorite (delicous) and the burgers are also awesome - especially the Joe Montferrand Bison Burger. The last time I was there a friend had the Salmon and said it was superb. All the times I've been to BDT the servers were friendly and the service was excellent. Last but not least - the location is fantastic and the historic building housing BDT is beautiful and includes a great beer museum. BDT's a really special place - highly recommended.

BDT offers a enormous range of different beers and food for all taste and wallet. It is a must see and try in the region.

Excellent service from Staff. I don't understand the people who are not satisfied with the service at the BDT. I go there often with colleagues and for business meetings and the service is always what I expect and better. The choice of beers is totally amazing and it's here in the Ottawa region. Don't listen to the people and try it yourself, you'll see what I'm talking about.
If you live in Ottawa or Gatineau, you need to go to this place! Especially so if you've never crossed the bridge and experienced something very "Quebecois" without actually venturing too far. I will definitely try to go back another time and perhaps check out their live music!

We visited Les Brasseurs du Temps a number of times, so this review is a bit of a summary. Food is usually good and tasty, staff is friendly and the atmosphere vibrant. They have a very nice and large terrace and a quite phenomenal beer museum path that takes you underground around the brewery pit. It's quite something to visit, and if you haven't done the visit yet, you should take the path down to beer making history lane. :-)
We only had one quite disappointing experience with an appetizer a few months back (fried calamari). It was a $17 starter (not cheap) that you will see on the picture. It was rubbery, basically totally tasteless, and came cold despite being deep fried. The seaweed-based green sauce wasn't so good either. We alerted our waiter who acknowledged that the dish looked kinda "off" and proceeded with a replacement order of Fried Hot Peppers (see picture) which were much better. We didn't get charged for the calamari. I noticed that others went through the same disappointment, which drove negative reviews. Incidentally, they apparently no longer offer this dish so kudo's to management to making the necessary adjustment to the menu! :-) The rest of our dinner was good overall.
While this place doesn't deserve a five star "outstanding" review, it's still a pleasant restaurant to visit if you want to have a bite and a beer with friends. They also have a good selection of microbrewery beers which is nice.
We will go back!
I've been here so many times and it gets better every time.
The brewery releases new drinks seemingly monthly (be careful not to fall in love with any like I did!) And they're definitely known for their poutine among my friend group. Their patio is stunning especially after dusk and their staff is always helpful with a recommendation or a creative way of describing the new rotation.
I've been to a handful of the pubs around the NCR and this one is the absolute bees knees. The best part? Not a single television in sight.
Once you're finished, walk through their free museum which focuses on Quebec's role in brewing during Canada's prohibition.
This place is amazing. The patio is most beautiful I have yet seen. The place has museum and you can explore. The beers are amazing. Service exceptional. I was not very happy with wings and colesaw chicken burger. The cheesecake was good.

it was surprisingly empty on a Tuesday night, which was nice for a conversation. The beer is among the best in Ottawa-Gatineau. The food on the other hand is just average pub fare. I was not a fan of the sausage sandwich. The service was excellent.
We very much enjoyed our experience. We started with a mojito and a flight of beer. Loved it! Then on to the apps. Fantastic. Pizza, flank steak and melon and duck. Delicious!!! Closed the evening with a strawberry and a blueberry desserts. Amazing. Great place to eat and or drink!
This use to be my go-to place before the pandemic. Unfortunately I went recently and it's not the same, it was absolutely dead on a saturday night during the long weekend. They also close much earlier than they use to. It's a shame.
On the other hand, the service is absolutely amazing, always good and kind people working! We got some drinks and they were amazing.
the menu was online so not age friendly they should keep an updated menu on hand for the older generations. The service was friendly but the place felt cold and trendy. The saving grace was the food, my dear friend had the fish and chips while i indulged in the poutine house special. It was so filling and rich i could only eat about a third of it. I absolutely would eat there again, and the place is a historic building in Gatineau
Great service, really good food, there is a lot of space as well.
I came in the daytime, not on the night time so the restaurant was pretty empty. We were served very quickly, and the server we had was very helpful. He spoke both French and English very well. They always made sure we had enough water, which I for one really appreciated
The good itself was very tasty. The nachos had plenty of toppings, the pizza had really good sauce and crust, and the poutine was good! as expected in Quebec.
The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The main area was clean too, all the tables were clean as well as the floors.
They are a brewery so they do brew their own beer and ciders. I personally didn't try them. The rosé from Quebec however, I did try and it was very good.
Great service and food! Definitely will be coming back.
Great outdoor patio for summer evening drinks. Only tried one beer but it was pretty good. Service was prompt and prices were fair. Very cool area with some views of the water. Really cool stone building.

Service and atmosphere were great!! Waitress was really friendly and fast ensuring we always had what we needed and checked up often. Very helpful with beer menu and took time to explain beers and also asked what we typically like so she could refer us to something similar they make.
We ordered the chicken wings for appy and the fried chicken burger (1 chicken, 1 beyond the meat) for our mains. Wings were good and arrived within 6 mins of ordering which was fantastic and we had 7 wings for our 1 pound order so they were larger which we loved. Buffalo sauce had a medium/low heat but nonetheless still good (we love spicey). If I had to critique the wings, I would suggest making them a but more crispy.
Burgers arrived about 8 mins after our appetizer was done (again top notch on service) however we both noticed a burnt smell coming from both our meals. We discovered the buns had been char broiled on their grill (perhaps a tad to long) which was what was making the burnt smell. Portion size was very good, and flavors were ok. We found the burger lacking a punch, something to make us say "wow" but overall had no complaints.
Overall great place, friendly staff and good selection of drinks/food and will visit again.

This is a lively place to gather with friends and family, a real hidden gem in the heart of Hull. It was busy on a Friday night so I highly recommend reservations.
The food and drink menus were great! The Firerita cocktail with mango syrup was delicious. The food menu was very creative, not your typical boring pub fare. There didn't seem to be any vegan dishes on the menu, but the kitchen was able to modify the Stuffed Flatbread (which was vegetarian to begin with) into a vegan dish by removing the goat cheese. The flatbread was filled with cashew tapenade and roasted vegetables and served with a generous side of French fries. It was delicious and very filling!
The prices were reasonable (about 20$ for a main dish and 10-12$ for a cocktail) and service was friendly (albeit a bit slow). Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend this place!
Nice brew pub with plenty of beer choices. Food is great here too and the service is friendly. There used to be duck options here but I did not see them the last time I went. Pity as the duck salad and confit were great!
Really cool spot. Great service. Great beer and great ambiance. Staff was bilingual english was no problem and they were very helpful. I highly recommend the "beer clock"! Its a super cool way to try all their beers.

My family and I recently visited Les Brasseurs du Temps last Saturday evening, and I have to say, we were blown away. Our server was awesome - friendly, bilingual, and lightning-fast with the orders. We had a great time perusing the beer menu, which had a lot of variety, and the brews we ended up choosing were all excellent.
Our boys were stoked when the bartender made them some virgin strawberry daiquiris. They were so good, we might have to come back for some adult versions next time! And the food - wow. The steak was cooked to perfection and everyone else's meals were equally impressive.
We were really impressed when the chef popped out to ask how our food was and chatted with our boys about their hockey playoffs. It's little moments like that which make dining out so special.
All in all, we had an awesome experience at Les Brasseurs du Temps. It's not often that we encounter such great customer service and excellent food and drinks at a local restaurant. We highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a memorable dining experience in Hull. A big thanks to the staff for making our evening so enjoyable!
For me the best craft brewery in Canada (what I tasted). Everything was good and tasty. I like this place.
