Delicious food, was not expecting much from a ferry port cafe but it's really great. Haddock and scallop chowder here a real highlight of our trip. Friendly and efficient service. Had a lovely cup of tea too!
We stopped here and had lunch... Amazing! There was more haddock and scallops in the chowder than anything else. My partner isn't a fish lover like I am and he even loved the fish & chips. A must if youre in the area.
I think this was the place we had scallop rolls 15 years ago. Perfectly cooked in butter on a potato roll. Not to be missed. Unique part of the world as well. Takes several short ferry trips to get your car out to the place. All I know is this place was a gem when we arrived using nothing more than
Best meal we've had during our 9 day vacation! All homemade meals so worth any wait. The ferry comes every hour so plan to stay a while. Definitely recommend!
Looked cute and good but sadly we couldn't eat there after driving out from San Francisco and bypassing Digby. I walked in and a lady had a plate full of buttery scallops! Just after whale watching we went for a late dinner at Lavena's Catch Cafe. The dinner and service was Excellent! highly recommend, especially the Scallop entre and the Chowder :-)
Very good home cooked meals served by friendly staff. Book for an early supper as it does not stay open very late. Has some good craft beers.
I have traveled far and wide, and the food here is among the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy.
