Review Gahan House Riverside - Fredericton

Happy to have eaten here! Good for families (big kid menu portions), everything was fresh especially raw oysters, fish, chowder... want to keep ordering more! They brew their own beer too!

I def recommend the calamari! Not the fish taco if you prefer fried crispy fish in your tacos... Try chicken! The So Good cocktail was average! ( too sweet for my taste!)Excellent and fast service. Our waitress was very friendly and asked us if we needed anything a couple of times.

Went there around 6 on Tuesday and it was not busy. Good selection of beer and food was pretty good. Service was excellent. One of my go to restaurants to visit when I'm out in the Atlantic provinces.

Servers are a"MAY"zing! Incredible atmosphere, local art on for sale, masterful craft brews, and highly curated, delectable dishes. An Absolute MUST experience!

We are from out of town and this place was recommended Came here and OMG! The beet salad was the best. Highly recommend that get the large. The fish tacos were ok and the quinoa salad bowl was delish.

The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff are very friendly, the food is absolutely excellent. I totally recommend this restaurant. Thank you to Angela for making our visit so enjoyable.

Went for dinner with a small group - the menu and food were great! Service was good - our server didn't introduce herself, and there were several that came to the table to drop off/ pick up. All were polite, but none really grabbed our attention. Will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu though!

This resto bar is probably the most high-end spot in Fredericton! Fantastic beers and amazing seafood! I didn’t want to leave this place before 3 am… but we’re living through a pandemic, so I had to head back to my hotel before I was kicked out (did I say I was on a business trip here in Fredericton???)

Last Tuesday, we took some out of town guests to Gahn ,as we had heard some great things. It was not a good coice. Drinks were deliveried but it took another 10 minutes to get a straw once they deliveried were ok. Guessing you are better off ordering beer. Apps were great, buffalo cauliflower excellent, cream mussels excellent, crab dip good, very little crab used. Main Course was a huge disapointment . Fish and chips, overcooked to the point it appeared burnt. Burrito bowl, a pass Butter Curry chicken, must have forgotten the curry, I would classify it as a failure for butter chicken and/or curry. Fries were excellent. Our fourth guest ordered two apps as a main course, curry mussels, terrible, seafood chowder, was ok Dessert Brown bag mars, yummy! The best ever. Sticky toffee cake, was served cold, when asked our server replaced it with a warm one. Once it was heated it was good. Blueberry crumble, rated good I would of expected an offer for a reduced bill, due to Curry muscles being returned with only two eaten, plus serving a cold dessert, but none was offered. The server's tip reflected our dissatisfaction. Needles to say, we will not dine there again.

We've enjoyed the original Gahan House in Charlottetown and are pleased to have them now in downtown Fredericton. Restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday evening but we were able to be seated right away. Renovations to the interior have been well done. The mezzanine for larger groups looks nice! Service was a bit slow but I suspect this was a function of newness and busyness. Enjoyed the flight of Gahan beer that we tried, especially the blueberry ale and the stout. Crab dip appetizer was excellent! My wife had soup du jour and watermelon salad and liked both. I had butter chicken and it was good. Highlight of meal was definitely dessert - deep fried Mars bars with belgian waffle pieces. We will be back for sure !!

My g/f and i went last thurs night...atmosphere amazing and so was the service. Food was lacking. Crab dip was outrageously tiny for the cost. I never liked being served something in a dish that is only half full. I asked if that was normal and they assured me that it was...they only fill the pan half way. Odd. We shared the fish and chips and the burger. Burger was not edible. So dry neither of us ate our half. Fish though was phenomenal. We wanted to try the mars bar dessert but we were so disappointed in most of everything else we tried, we decided to pass. Drinks, service and atmosphere are awesome....food not so much.

Wonderful food and atmosphere! The beer menu is excellent. The back patio is a true hidden gem, beautiful secluded area.

Celebrated our anniversary this evening and we were not disappointed . The staff was friendly and very informative , the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. Beer of course was delicious. We had the Buffalo Cauliflower to start , my husband had the steak sandwich with salad and I tried the Focaccia chicken sandwich ... it was hands down the best chicken sandwich I have had in a very long time. We will be back again!

Well, I had waited a while to make my “first appearance” at the new location, and honestly; all the raves didn’t do this place justice!! I’d heard many great things about the food, drink and service, all exceed expectations this evening!! The beer was fantastic and different crafts than I’d had before. Food was fantastic, from oysters to appetizers to mains! And our server, (we are trying to recall the name) Jackie, was delightful! Formally being in the service industry, she was the ideal attendant and we much appreciated it!! I said it to my other companions this evening; this will most definitely be “my place” from here on in Fredericton!

AMAZING!!! INCREDIBLE!!! FANTASTIC!!! We LOVE all 4 of the Gahan Houses, but I must say that Riverside won our hearts tonight! Cassandra our server was truly wonderful from the moment we sat down to the moment we left..top notch service! Sam the GM blew us away with his hospitality and let's not forget the kitchen staff who prepared our delicious food! Very impressed and can't wait to go back!!

Came for mothers day dinner. We ordered two appetizers (ribs and nachos) both were absolutely amazing, which had us very excited for the rest of our food. I would recommend anyone try these items at least once, because they were delicious. (dat cheese sauce doeeee) Sadly, when our entrees came there were a few issues. My dad ordered the salmon special but was served mango salmon from the menu. His mashed potatoes were also cold when they came to the table. I ordered the quesadilla (no tomato, as it is the antichrist) but it did of course come with tomato on it anyway. (side note: i love your salsa!) My mom had a hard time eating anything other than her steak because her roasted potatoes were dry and "grilled vegetables" is literally just plain broccoli. (The jus that came with the steak was really great, though.) Overall I would personally come back and give you guys another try. I want to make it clear that as a whole we did enjoy our food, it just fell a little short after the amazing fresh appetizers we were served. None of this was at the fault of our server, as a separate young lady actually brought us our food. The assumption has been made that orders were just messed up - it happens. Thank you guys for the great atmosphere and delicious drinks. I normally would not complain about anything but because it was mothers day I felt I should say something. Hopefully this can help you guys improve as you grow in presence here in Fredericton. Best wishes

Went on day 3 of the restaurant opening, the food was awesome and our waitress was very friendly and helpful! Definitely will be back!

Ordered online and it was amazing still. When I order for take out anywhere else in the city it ends up being hugely disappointing. Gahan did not dissapoint. My wife even loved it and my wife friggin hates everything!

Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Special shout out to Mary and Natasha for making my father's birthday so special! We all loved the fish and chips and the craft beer and will be back often! You guys ROCK!

We came in for Mothers Day and everything was so tasty and amazing. Our server was excellent. We will be back...!

One of the best veggie burgers in town, wait time for lunch was a little slow but if it had been dinner it would have been acceptable. 5 of us all enjoyed our meals!
