Always nice to stop into this sushi spot for some unique creations. Fish is fresh and the chunky avocado is always appreciated. The Salmon Lovers roll pictured here is a must order.

I feel like I just got pranked. Do they serve everyone this food? A baby-sized spicy salmon roll with hot sauce on top? A tuna avocado roll with ground up, possibly canned, tuna? Pre-drenched gyoza fried in filthy oil that’s never been changed? Don’t appetizers usually come before the rolls, not after? I thought the fancy downtown sushi place would be as good or better than the uptown strip mall one.. but boy was I wrong.

This was the most awful experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant. To start - we were sat at a table underneath the open lights, there we SO MANY bugs, dead and alive. Once we ordered the food, I kid you not, this was the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The sushi they sell at sobey’s will seem fine dining in comparison to this one. One of my rolls was 80% cucumber, the tiniest piece of tempura shrimp. My other roll? Had literal sweet whip cream on it. Nothing like the picture, or description. “Sweet cream mayo”. The chef came out to ask what was wrong with it, when I told him his answer was “this isn’t McDonald’s, you won’t get what’s in the picture”. He was so disrespectful and unprofessional. His food is disappointing and his manners are non existent. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs.

Wonderfully fresh sushi, delicious tempura, fantastic appetizers! This was one of the best sushi experiences I've had! The service was fantastic, and we could not have asked for better.

Really good sushi. Never disappointed with the quality of the food. My favorite rolls are the C4, Sumo, Avo/salmon. Also really like their agedashi tofu and gyoza. In restaurant dining provides a better customer experience then take-away. Take-away usually has very long wait times and for some reason we almost never have chopsticks in our bag. Make sure you give yourself enough time if doing take out and specify how many chopsticks you need.

Miso soup was tasty, but was only warm, not hot. I ordered the sashimi set, and one of the rolls (the blue mountain roll) is just a California roll covered with mayonnaise, melted cheese, and fresh blueberries. I’m aware it’s my fault for not cross checking the menu items, but I couldn’t believe that such a strange and niche roll would come with a pre-set combo. And at $50 (including 15% tip) for the roll set and a single Diet Coke, I unfortunately can’t recommend this restaurant.

Absolute new favourite! Top marks for friendly service, good menu options, super-yummy food, great prices and perfect portion size. I loved everything I ordered but the tempura was an amazing standout I did not expect. Well done! We finished our meal with a 2-bite cheesecake and a lovely chat with co-owner Gina. Moncton's loss is definitely our gain. Welcome to Fredericton, J's Asian Kitchen!

Stopped in with a larger group for supper. Amazing service, delicious food and beautiful environment. The best sushi I've ever eaten. Highly recommend this restaurant!! Will be back.

First time visit today, and it was absolutely delicious!! The lunch specials were terrific, as was the staff and atmosphere. Some of the best Asian food I have had yet! I may have a new favourite restaurant!

We came here for date night on Saturday with another couple, after my husband had enjoyed his Friday lunch so much that he wanted us to come back together. The atmosphere is lovely, the people are friendly, the service is great and the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for some wonderful pan-Asian cuisine.

Delicious food and great service! The plum tea is possibly my favourite drink of all time. J's Asian Kitchen is a wonderful addition to the downtown core.

My partner and I had dinner here this past week and we will definitely be back! We had the Agedashi Tofu, Kamikaze roll, Pad Thai, and Beef Pho. The portion sizes are great for the price and everything we tried was delicious and fresh. The owners are also incredibly sweet and service was excellent. Looking forward to eating here again!
