We decided to finally try this restaurant after doing a bit of research.
The meal was very good...with a few minor exceptions.
The schnitzel and the spaetzle were tasty. I had half hunter sauce, half sauerkraut. Yum.
The roll was stale and cold. A fresh rye or pumpernickel bread would have been much better.
The few veggies ,were frozen, and overcooked. I'm not sure why they serve a frozen veggie, when fresh are readily available.
Loved the ambiance, and the friendly service.

Didn't have a reservation which is recommended. Chose to ask if they had take-out meals, and the answer was yes. The staff were very courteous and professional and the inside of the restaurant was clean, well organized, and very visually appealing with many posters and things on the wall to read. There is a patio outside with flowers and comfortable lawn style dinner table chairs. Not too crowded, with plenty of space between tables and signage for COVID easily readable. Even though I took out my food which was ready in 30 minutes (very large order) i was well inclined to let them know that I would be coming back at a later date with a special someone or a friendly get together.

Hands down! The.best.schnitzel.ever.
We drove from Halifax, NS to come for supper. This is our second time here and we were not disappointed. This time we tried the Hunter, Hungarian, Bombay, onion and Chili Chocolate Schnitzels. They were all delicious.
We will be coming back again, hopefully in the next few months.
The atmosphere feels like you are coming over for a family dinner, but you don't have to do the dishes!

An amazing experience, we were treated like family from walking through the door. The best schnitzel and spätzle I've had any time recently. Ordered the large schnitzel, it was enough for 3 people really. The black forest cake and mousse were divine finishes to the evening.

Loved this place! The beer was delicious, and I got the chili chocolate schnitzel which was also amazing. The atmosphere is really interesting and very homey. The owners and servers are absolutely lovely. The menu was special featuring an entire page to introduce the story of the restaurant and a word from the dogs!
You will probably need a reservation to eat here.

If you are thinking about trying this wonderful restaurant out, do it. My husband and I went here for a spontaneous date night, and were not disappointed. The staff was extremely personable and kind. The food was absolutely delicious. With the atmosphere and decore just helping bring the ambiance all together. We cannot wait to visit again!
