Review Salon Cafe - Fort Langley

WOW! The high tea was amazing. My favourite savoury bite was the tomato pesto finger sandwich. My favourite sweet was the scone with the clotted cream and raspberry jam. Absolutely delicious. Very cute place with unique clothing and home decor. We were visiting from Ontario and doing a #chewonthis food tour. A great way to start our day!

Had the opportunity to sit and savour time in the cafe with a friend. Service was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks delicious. Highly recommend the high tea. More than enough for both of us.

Enjoyed high tea here. They only had one type of tea, so there wasn't a choice, but thankfully it was cream of Earl Grey which is my favourite. The atmosphere of the tea room is wonderful and provides the perfect ambience for high tea. The sandwiches were delectable, the scone and cream were delicious and the desserts were tasty. It was fun to try a good variety and to enjoy the atmosphere.

Such a cute place ❤️ I went with a friend and we both enjoyed everything on the tower 😊 also LOVED their tea!

Had a very lovely high tea with my girlfriends during our book club meeting. First time at this location and it was absolutely amazing. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was adorable and they sell the most amazing and cute looking clothing! My friends and I stayed behind after to try some stuff in and get a few items. Will definitely come back again for high tea.

Just left this place I do not recommend coming here. For $75 I got a few different peices of bread and very little dessert choices, also didn't even get to pick what kind of tea I wanted, food was bland, and had no taste it was my daughter's Birthday and it was very disappointing she was upset and barely ate anything. For what they charge for very little food not happy at all. $75 for $10 of food wow

I ordered high tea for take out and wow was I blown away! They made little baskets for each person and the food was delicious. I have had high tea at their location as well and am never disappointed. But with covid it was so lovely to have take out as an option for my cousins and I to treat our grandma to high tea. Was so happy with what we got and will definitely be back!

I actually wish I could give NO stars…. We went here for high tea today - it was my husband’s first high tea ever and we were so looking forward to it. We made a reservation 6 weeks prior. When we arrived, we were seated and our 3-tier food tray was already on the table. Having had high tea many times before I found this a bit odd. The server did not describe the contents of each tier, as is custom and it was also very apparent that the tray had been there for some time. The food was not fresh, the cream cheese was runny, the bread stale and the egg salad was starting to dry. So we were seated and it was a full 7 minutes before a server acknowledged us and then said that they had run out of tea and it would be another 5 minutes until they had tea available. We had nearly finished our food before tea finally arrived about 25 minutes after we had been seated —— FOR HIGH TEA BOOKED 6 WEEKS AGO. This was the most disappointing high tea I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they can justify $44 per person for ridiculously small portions and nothing of the “high tea experience” you’d expect for that price. I cannot recommend this place at all unfortunately. Save your hard-earned money and go elsewhere.

The best place to go for an afternoon high tea in Langley, unless you want to go all the way to Vancouver. Prices are decent and the food is pretty good. Recommend this place if you have a party of 3 or more as you would get way more of the price than just with 1 or 2 people.

Love love love the ambiance here! The cutest girliest tea shop, as well as a beautiful boutique. My high tea was great, and the food has always been swell. Love the creamy earl grey tea they serve!

I was there w a large table of 8 pals. The food and value was great. We each paid $22+tt. Can't be beat. Service was good despite being very busy on Saturday pm. But the layout and front door is confusing to figure out. They have a shop of clothes and knickknacks and so much STUFF you have to carefully weave through, not break stuff and finally get to the cafe in the back. And then when it's time to pay you live up in the store and it takes FOREVER just to pay. They have to improve that and get a few portable wireless credit/ debit machines PRONTO!

My sister and I took my mom here for her birthday for High Tea! I had been here before and it was delicious, and this time was no different. Just make sure if you go for high tea, that you get it for the amount of people in your party! I know it sounds simple but I had asked for 1 high tea and they thought I wanted it split between 3 people, which was not the case. Great place to have a bridal shower too!

I might be spoiled because of the number of tea houses I've been to and have had the best and worst in high teas. This is a cute little place and it's pretty good. Not a fan of their house tea which is very heavily flavoured with vanilla but if you love vanilla you'll like it. The high tea items were tasty but nothing was particularly exceptional. I would go back if I was in the area and maybe try something else in the menu. For high tea I'll make the trip to the secret garden in Vancouver.

Really enjoyed our meal. Ate here with my mom, 2 friends, and their toddler. The staff were very accommodating to their little girl's needs. The food was delicious as was the coffee. Would love to go again for tea. Loved the decor.

My only criticism is that it's a little crowded with all the decor and clothing at the front of the shop.

Birthday Lunch. My girlfriend and I decided to go for high tea for her birthday. The waitress took us to a table in this small quaint restaurant which was nice but took forever to take our drink request. We finally got our tea and coffee and my coffee was cold. I was never offered a refill and had to flag her for one. SHE didn't even know what we ordered and the table near to us got their lunch before us even though we were there first and ordered first. For $18 each we shared the high tea assorted goodies but not worth what I paid. We will not return again.

Terrible service and really unfriendly.. Title says it all. Basically, walked out and didn't even try the place. There's other establishments I'd rather support or give my business to. It's too bad, it's such a cute little place.

Disappointed. Food, so-so. Service, terrible. Needs to work some issues out there. Won't done again there.

Not bad. I went here with my friend for lunch . The afternoon tea set could be better. It wasn't bad, it was just missing something. Yes the portions are small. Eggs Benny was cute looking. My friend said it was good, but she needed to order more food because it's so small. The service was friendly, but so slow. Waitresses disappeared from time to time and we waited to get hot water refills. The best part about this establishment is the boutique attached to it. It's great to take a walk afterwards and look at all the merchandise.

Not kid friendly. After reading the website I was under the impression this was a family establishment. I took my two daughters over the weekend, ages 6 and 8. The staff seemed very rush and almost irritated with having my children there. I also found the food was very well geared to adults but not a child friendly menu.
Perhaps when thinking of a tea place keep this one in mind for a 'older' crowd.
I however agree with the other write ups that fort Langley is a wonderful place to spend a day with the family!

The Best Super Bowl Sunday Ever. There is nothing more refined, elegant, relaxing and indulgent than the ritual of Afternoon Tea. Upon arriving at the Little White House with my mother and daughter (the boys were 'pre-gaming' for the 'big game,') we were whisked away through the quaint boutique, which--might I add--is absolutely adorable featuring a collection of furniture, housewares, jewellery and clothing, by the pleasant hostess. We were seated in the coach house surrounded by an eclectic mix of furniture that had a charming vintage appeal. Shortly after selecting our teas we found ourselves sipping on dainty cups while storytelling our way through the early afternoon.

The nibbly selection was a delight featuring miniature scones, an assortment of sandwiches, cupcakes, and delectable macaroons. After wandering through the nostalgic streets of Fort Langley, we were happy to be warming my finger tips on a hot cup. A memorable experience at the Little White House we won’t soon forget and a perfect spot for a family outing or afternoon with friends.

Very limited selection. I have a gluten intolerance. I tried the little white tea house over the weekend I was disappointed in what they had to offer. It was very limited and not that tasty.
In my opinion also very overpriced.
If anyone reading this has a gluten issue like myself, I highly recommend 'Tracycakes' in Langley.

The sweetest littl tea shoppe in the Fraser Valley area!. I have been a regular customer of this establishment since first discovered it about 4 years ago. My husband and I were walking through Fort Langley and happened upon it and I have been hooked ever since!
The ambiance,( Adorable) the service,( outstanding) the shopping( amazing!) and the food( mouthwatering....I am hungry!) ....oh the food!
Delicious house-made food. From Comfort foods to Afternoon tea. What's your pleasure?! Soup and a sandwich, scones and jam?
Have a quick bite, or enjoy , at your leisure a pot of tea and some treats. Whatever your needs, desires, they've got it!
Not ready to head back out into the real world right away? Every nook and cranny has something to see. Dresses, scarves, shoes, unique jewellery, cookware, bake ware. I can ALWAYS find something I didn't even KNOW I needed until I found it there!
I live in Richmond and I don't even bat a lash at the drive out to The Little White House, ever. Love this place. Love the staff, love the uniqueness of the entire experience. ((OK, I just made myself homesick for the house!)) Better plan my next trip out, ASAP!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I would give it 10 thumbs up but I only own two. The picture below is me enjoying Afternoon Tea!

I've been here twice for tea service and I have been blown away by the quality of the food and by the staff. The chef is incredible and the waitstaff are attentive and kind. This place is better than the Fairmont and less than half the price! Every item of food was near perfection! I will be bringing everyone I know here! Thank you LWH!

Excellent Tea Service. I have been to LWH four times so far and it's the best tea service. I have had a wonderful experience each time I go and am constantly bringing new friends to tea so they can experience the fantastic tea service.

I have always been greeted with a smile and the friendly staff are awesome. The chef is a very talented woman and is super friendly!

I love sitting in the cafe. It's so relaxing and every time I have to leave I am in a full on food coma.

Bacon Jam with savory scones is one of the best things I've eaten ever and I always add it as an addition to the tea service.

My visit today. There are sure a lot of colourful reveiws here. I met a friend at the tea house today. I've been to my fair share and would put this one in the middle.
The food could use more flavour. The tea was good. The service seemed a little bit over stretched, not a lot of care was given.
Overall there are a few things they can work on but never the less we both has a fine afternoon.

Wonderful!. I hosted my Sisters Baby Shower at Little White House. We had 22 guests celebrating the new arrival over Afternoon Tea in their private Coach House. The service was wonderful, the setting magical, the creamy earl grey tea was amazing, and the food was delightful. They even customized our sweets in all shades of pink in honour of the baby girl. It was the most memorable party! Looking forward to our next visit!

LITTLE is right...LITTLE good to say!. Cute from the outside ... but that's about all!! Disappointing customer service, will definitely go somewhere else for my tea next time!

50th Birthday Party Afternoon Tea. 15 ladies attended the Little White House Salon Cafe for a 50th birthday party recently and a good time was enjoyed by all. The tea, food and service was excellent and the hosts of our party made sure we were taken care of and that the afternoon was made special for our guest of honour. We would not hesitate in visiting the Little White House Salon Cafe for tea. Hopefully, next time, we will do some shopping as well.

Loved it!. My four year old daughter and I were looking for a place to have a tea party so I looked online and found this café. I read some review that were not so pleasant but decided to go there anyways. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with the décor and how old fashioned it was. Just what we were looking for. When we walked in we were greeted by our server who took very good care of us the entire time! She spoke with a French accent which I found adorable and added to our experience. We were constantly waited on and asked how things were for us during our visit. I had a lot of questions and all the staff were happy to answer. On the other side of our experience, one of the servers was rather new and had not tried all the teas so I would recommend that all new staff taste the teas and be able to describe what the flavours are. Also when I went to pay, I wasn't able to include my tip in the debit/credit option so bring cash for these wonderful servers! I will be back in the near future with my cash and some friends! Thank you ladies!

Great midday getaway with the coworkers!. If you're looking for a different atmosphere for a working lunch and tired of the same old options, this is the place to be! I've gone to this cute little tea house a couple times now with some gals from work and it's such a treat! There was a relaxed and fun atmosphere and the food was great! The soups and sandwiches have always been stellar. And be sure to have some creme de earl tea, so tasty! The waitress was extremely sweet and quick even though it was quite busy. All in all, a great escape from the monotonous working lunch stops.

Great Experience.. There is an awful lot of estrogen flowing around this place... I'm not going to pretend to understand it all, but taken on it's face, the food here is good. ...and much heartier than I expected. The "French" vibe is a bit distorted and the cuisine here is best described as mixed. The selections are well done with special mention to the French Onion Soup and croque.

Clearly a great deal of effort has been made to create an atmosphere here, and as I never had a tea party fantasy as a little boy it went over my head. I noticed a lot of Mother/Daughter days out and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Classy place not classy staff. Me and some friends went to for Sunday tea today. The food was really good! Such a cute little shop! The servers were dressed so casual and were not classy at all! The way we were spoken to was not professional and was crude.

Lovely hidden gem in Fort Langley. I visit the Little White House pretty regularly; it is a lovely place to celebrate any little special occasion. We often do brunch here, but it is also a great place for a girls' lunch out. Salads are yummy, as are the soup, quiche, and biscuits. he Parisian decor is very quaint; request a spot in the sun room or the garden for the best atmosphere. This is not a place you come to be rushed; prices are reasonable ($7-14) and the service is always friendly. The menu is somewhat limited but that is part of its charm. Don't forget to order a lavender lemonade and a few delicious macarons!

LOVE IT. Awesome, attentive service, amazing afternoon tea :)))) Gorgeous quaint historic little white house transformed into such a gem. You can tell each item is handpicked with love. We enjoyed shopping the amazing clothing selection before sitting for tea. You will find unique, high quality, trendy, classy pieces. Just beautiful! The macarons today were not as good as they are usually, but maybe it was just a really busy day with the May Day Parade. Overall AMAZING- definitely recommended - will definitely come again :)

Afternoon tea. A really cute place. The food was wonderful and certainly the price was right. Fantastic scones with jam and cream, tasty cakes and some of the best savouries of all the afternoon tea places we have visited. Our initial welcome was slow, but improved. Although she relented, the waitress wanted to charge us for the second tea bag we had between four of us!

Cute decor, good high tea. This is a great value for high tea. I was taken here to celebrate my birthday this year by a gf and although it's not crazy fancy, it's quaint and cute. I really enjoyed the decor and felt like I had gone back in time a little bit. We had the February coupon, so it was handy to only pay 22.00 for high tea for two. I will definitely be back here with my mom and a few other girl friends. Their brunch menu looks good too!

Best breakfast, brunch and tea place around. Our favourite place to take friends and family for brunch is the Salon Cafe at the Little White House in Fort Langley. We've enjoyed consistently high quality, fresh, and delicious meals whenever we've gone. The service is attentive but not hovering. And we love the rustic Parisian style setting. My favourite dishes include the croque Madame and the rustic omelette. And the high tea for two is really special. I took my niece there for grad and she loved it. I've also picked up some of their lovely loose teas. Then there is the shop where I always seem to find a little something for myself or my granddaughter.

-----06 Mar, 2013-----

Delightful Tasty Place to Dine. If you're looking for a great cafe to brunch with friends or enjoy an authentic high tea, look no further. The Salon Cafe in the Little White House in Fort Langley is the place to go. The Parisian inspired decor, the vintage tableware, the background music, and the welcoming staff are only topped by the delicious and well priced plates. My favorites, and I've tried almost everything, include the Rustic omelette, the daily quiches, the buttery cheese biscuit, the parmesan and lavender cookies, their lattes and Creme de la Earl Grey tea. The high tea is a special treat I've enjoyed with my Mom and sisters but it priced reasonably enough to enjoy more than a few times a year.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea. We were served Creme de la Earl Grey Tea in little white elephant teapots. We enjoyed finger sandwiches, mini quiches, sausage rolls, scones with raspberry preserve and Devonshire cream, macarons, mini cupcakes and lavender shortbread cookies. It was exactly how I thought it would be. We would definitely go back.

For the money we paid, I think this is such a great value! It’s just unfortunate Fort Langley is soooo far

While the food wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, the cute little cafe was.
